That's right, it's time for...
Good News: I got called today by a local college where I applied for a teaching job!
Bad News: They were calling me to let me know that all of the adjunct positions had been filled. In July.
Good News: Enrollment is higher than expected and they might add another class!
Bad News: There's no guarantee that I'll be picked to teach the class.
Good News: The Vampire Fred: Wicked Game has been on TQ's best-seller list since it debuted and it's still there!

Another Review For The Vampire Fred: Wicked Game...
This one's from noted gay historical fiction author Erastes! I'm pretty honored that Erastes picked it up and took the time to review it, and liked it even though it's a bit outside her "comfort zone" (ye gods, I HATED that term at Goddard!)

Yes, I admit it.
First of all, I'm NEVER planning on making a subscription thinger for Free Fiction Friday (because I could hardly call it Free then, could I?). The whole reason it's there is because I live in an area where being a writer is pretty much my only means of income lest I get a teaching job at the local college (another thing I've got my fingers crossed for). I live off my royalty checks, for the most part, and private commissions, and thanks to the relatively low cost of living in m

No, really, I'm working!
Getting work done tonight and tomorrow on this weeks Free Fiction Friday, primarily because I get the feeling that
2metaldog will have me flayed alive if I even think about delaying a week. Besides, this week will be 10 in a row if I can make it in time! And that means a contest! :)
Make sure to let me know what kind of contest I should be having, as well as which kind of prizes I should give out (but only within reason, I am a starving writer. ;) )
