BREAKING NEWS!!!
Thanks to some very generous donors, and the fundraising efforts of

vashtan, it looks like I'll be getting enough to cover my fingerprinting fees and start work (both from PayPal donations and from a couple people who are mailing donations through USPS).

Still kinda panicking. Been asking friends, family, and no one can spare the cash. The district won't let me slide for a few days either, they need it done before I can start work.
On a lighter note, I borrowed some clothes for my interview this morning, and apparently I looked halfway decent for a change, so my housemate snapped a photo. It's under the cut.

Good News, Bad News
Good news:
I got a teaching job! It's doing substitute teaching for the General Brown Central School District, and apparently I'll be seeing a fair bit of work for the next year.
Bad News:
In order to get the job, I have to be fingerprinted for the database for New York State teachers. This will cost $100. I do not have $100. Hell, I don't have $10. I called them about just getting fingerprinted at the Sheriff's Department or some other police organization, and I was told no, it absolutely has...

House of Stone has reached 36k words, which is good, and ...
House of Stone has reached 36k words, which is good, and I'm hoping to get another chapter finished later tonight.
This week's installment of "Dead In The Water" is proceeding along at pace, and I'm hoping to get another 700 words down on that today.
But there's a couple problems.
1. I hardly slept at all last night, massive stomach bug that's been tormenting me since 3am.
2. Stress levels are rising over money. I've got 5 applications out currently, and all of them have gotten back to me to re...
