KMKY goes Kindle!!

Hi everyone

Last night Knowing Me Knowing You went live on Kindle!! For a limited time, only you can buy a Kindle copy for the bargain price of £1.72!! It has been described as my best novel yet and if you want to read more about it click over to The Books page and read the great reviews!

Lady Baggot is off for a haircut this morning. I'm a bit shaggy around the edges so in need of some TLC in the follicle department! Then I need to decide on a colour. I am a natural brown with ginger...

Marketing!

Morning everyone!! I have to say this week has been tough. I'm back to not sleeping, waking up every couple of hours and spending the day feeling exhausted! Not good! But hey ho! Onwards and upwards!

Today I want to ask you about marketing. What you think works and what you think doesn't. I want to get things right with my November release Strings Attached, get the marketing spot on and see it fly into the shops as well as make it big on-line. To start with it has a fantastic cover and if you ...

I'm back!

It seems like an age since I wrote my last blog but I am back from my holiday and enjoying the great reviews my books have got while I've been away. Knowing Me Knowing You is looking good on Goodreads and Breaking the Ice had a four out of five yesterday. There are links to all reviews on the individual book pages if you want to have a read! I love hearing what readers think (good or bad) so please leave reviews or comments on here - I take it all on board!

I am getting really excited about...

Love in an elevator!

No, I'm not going to post a video of me singing Aerosmith - today I am going to talk about the 'elevator' pitch. You might have seen one of Lord Sugar's little pets asking the Apprentice candidates about this in the final episode and it was also something we talked about at the RNA conference this year.

We were asked by the lovely Jane Wenham-Jones to create an elevator pitch for our novel. Imagine the agent of your dreams/head honcho of Harlequin books/senior buyer at Waterstones steps into ...

Team Baggot

Hello everyone - I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and enjoyed considerably better weather than we did in Wiltshire. We did manage to sing at the Durrington Fete and Vehicle Gathering event, despite the amp blowing up in the first song of the youth group's set. So Raise the Roof took to the stage a little later than planned but all went well. No Poker Face in the set this time though!

OK, so did everyone see the final of the Apprentice last night? I was very disappointed that my...

The new chicklit!

Morning everyone, excuse the perspiration, after a weekend of too much food and booze I am back to the exercise routine and at the moment look like Terry Hollands after a rampant session with the Atlas Stones. If you don't know Terry he is England's number one strongman and he could do with some more Twitter followers so follow him there or on Facebook. He has also just got married to the gorgeous Lauren and she is great to follow too. There, that's my follow friends suggestion for the day.

Di...

RNA conference 2011

Well what can I say? What a weekend and who would have thought it could be so exhausting! I had a fantastic time on my first Romantic Novelists Association conference and can't recommend it enough. From start to finish it was full of inspirational stories, excellent advice and intriguing tales - and that was just the chats in the bar! Brilliant speakers, my favourite has to be Jane Wenham-Jones who had everyone proper belly laughing and admiring the fantastic person she is. I don't just want ...

Last blog of the week!

Hi everyone - last blog of the week from me this week because tomorrow I will be in a complete frenzy of excitement as I get ready to put on my sandals, wellies, jeans, summer dress, cardy, cagole, sun hat, woolly hat (great British weather) and head over the border to Wales for the RNA conference 2011!! Can you tell I'm looking forward to it? In fact I am so looking forward to it I've almost forgotten about the scary, knee trembling one to one with editor Jane Holland I have on Saturday...

Preparing for #RNAconf11

For those that don't know the RNA conference is the Romantic Novelists Association yearly extravaganza of all things romance and writerly. I and approximately 159 other people are converging on the Caerleon Campus in Newport, Wales from Friday!! Here we will meet all those other writers and readers we have been chatting with on Facebook and Twitter, hear exciting talks from industry professionals and most importantly share food and wine!! My top things already in the suitcase are a bottle...

Is size everything?

Ah ha - that got you intrigued didn't it? No I'm not talking about Mr Big or Mr Thumb (one of my exes, a whole different story!) I am talking about books. Most of the books on the market are 5" x 8" but mine have been produced as 6" x 9" which means they don't really slip into your handbag unless you have one the size of a suitcase (I do but many don't). I am thinking of producing Strings Attached as a 5" x 8" to bring it in line with books on the market in my genre and to make it more...
