Oooo an Amazon chart climb!

Now I don't want you all to think that I spend the whole day every day checking how my books are doing on Amazon but us authors love to read new reviews and keep an eye on the ups and downs of the chart. Its like fighting for that no.1 in the charts compiled  by Gallup (shows age!). However on perusing briefly this morning I can see that Knowing Me Knowing You has sold a fair few copies recently and is now the highest in my personal chart. Excess All Areas has always led the way but the new b...

Moral support required!

Morning everyone - I'm feeling a bit low this morning to be honest. Not feeling the love and wishing I knew what to do to create more of a buzz about my books. As you know I have started entering a few competitions and I'm hoping with your support (and votes) I can get that break I need to get my writing noticed by a wider audience.

I know we all lead really busy lives but if you enjoyed one or all of my books a review on sites like Amazon are a big, big help because potential readers do read ...

Reality bites!

Isn't it strange to have to get up early and rush around again after all this time off? Can't say I'm enjoying it! So far having done the hectic school run where everyone seems to have forgotten how to drive I have written three cheques for various things for school, sorted out after school clubs and booked two lunch dates with friends. One of these days I will get some writing done before midday!

We had a fab time in Torquay and the rest of the English Riveria and we had fantastic weather...

Another nice week of sunny weather please!!

Just a quick blog to let you know that I am still alive! School holidays have been very tiring but I am looking forward to this week as we are off to Torquay for four nights. It will be good to do things with Mr Big and the children. Let's face it Dad's do miss out when they are at work all the time. So we are going for days of National Trust exploring and nights of party dancing to Agadoo and the like!

As well as perfecting Strings Attached for a 2012 release and submitting it to agents I...

Sunshine!

Well aren't we having the best weather for the Easter holidays? We've been out in the garden making fake trees, bouncing on the trampoline, swinging on the swing and annoying the tadpoles! All the lovely weather has also put me in the mood to write steamy beach scenes in 'Strings Attached' - loving that alpha male Quinn Blake! If you missed his closest celeb likeness on my Facebook profile then it is the gorgeous and brooding Jonathan Rhys Meyers - think those gorgeous Hugo Boss ads rather...

Indie/POD/self-published - it's all good!

Morning everyone - day inside today for me to catch up on ironing and hopefully writing while Amber amuses herself with keyboard practice, Littlest Pet Shop, Tom and Jerry and arts and crafts (glue and sequins - eek!). Tomorrow we have Fireman Sam to look forward to - I'm dreading him getting his hose out!

Anyway I just wanted to talk about books that haven't been snapped up by an agent/big publishing house but are still out in the marketplace. As you all know I am published  by...

Easter Egg Protocol

OK so today's question is when do you let the kids loose on the Easter eggs? We have a couple in the cupboard that have already been gifted and I'm not sure I can cope with the 'why can't we eat them now Mummy?' pleas for much longer. I am on the verge of cracking! So does that make me weak because everyone else is making their children wait until Easter Sunday or have you lot given in already? Answers please!!

So it's the Easter holidays and so far I have spent my time doing housework...

Tired but very very happy!

Yawn, cough, drinks water. I come to you today from a very tired body ravaged by white wine after my super launch night last night. Thank you to everyone that came along and made it such a great evening. The weather really was amazing and it was great to be able to get out into the beautiful garden at 5 New Street. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and are sampling the delights in your goody bags! We raised almost £30 for Salisbury Hospicecare which I am sure they will really appreciate.

I...

LAUNCH DAY HAS ARRIVED!

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! That is the sound of Mandy Baggot running around like a headless chicken (or Love Dove should I say) trying to get everything organised for my launch evening tonight!! Yes the day has arrived and apart from being extremely anxious that everything goes perfectly I am really looking forward to it. I love having parties and taking part in events and this one should be full of my nearest and dearest and all the people that have supported me and my books since...

Busy busy busy!

Hi everyone - I have a very busy week this week which is good. Today I have been entertaining my dear nan who is doing the sandwiches for my book launch evening on Wednesday. She makes THE best sandwiches so I am looking forward to indulging in them on the night!

Tomorrow I am going to Ladies Who Latte in the morning and in the evening I am going to a book group meeting because they are reading one of my books, Breaking the Ice! I'm really excited about this because I haven't had my book read ...
