Happy Monday!

Morning all - hope you had a great weekend!

Let's start with Dancing on Ice news! Finally we saw the least competent skater depart. Denise has been fun but she was the least accomplished skater and it was her time to go. Morning everyone - hope this wintery March day finds you well!

Had a great time at singing last night possibly because we didn't practice any of the war-time singalong songs or the Oklahoma medley. And it's official I will be performing the rap section of Poker Face! All that getting lyrical with Ice Ice Baby has paid off and I will be busting rhymes like Eminem before you know it. Word up!

Hi everyone, blogging late today after a great Ladies Who Latte get together. I had some great feedback from one of the ladies there who had read Breaking the Ice since our last meeting. She said she had trouble putting it down and would have carried on reading into the early hours if her husband hadn't kept nagging her to turn the light off! That was praise indeed and knowing I have created something people really enjoy is the biggest thrill as an author for me.

I'm wearing black - OK I wear black most days but today it is because I am mourning the loss of Vanilla Ice and Katie in last night's strangest episode of Dancing on Ice ever! To have the Ice Man and the brilliant Laura in the bottom two was just a crying shame and shows again that the British public are voting for their favourite personalities rather than judging the contestants on their skills. Half term is almost done!

It's Thursday! School starts again on Tuesday! Not long to go!! I don't want you all to think I don't love my girls, I do, more than anything but I am of the opinion that you can spend too much time together. They get as fed up of me as I do of them! So far we have been shopping several times (new pens, pencil case, sweets by the dozen oh and now apparently her PE shoes are too small), we've done cake making (Tom and Jerry mix just add egg and water), we've dressed up, coloured pictures...

Ah yes, half term, raining, therefore colouring, dancing, playing on the Wii, annoying Mum while she tries to strategise a book launch and world domination in the chicklit genre and you know, busting some moves to Vanilla Ice. Today has been a struggle you can tell.

Copies in hand!

I am loving my DHL man this morning because before I left the house for the school run he bought me my first copies of Knowing Me Knowing You! Yes I have a copy in my hand! Getting the actual finished book into your mitts always gives me a rush of pleasure knowing I will never have to look at it on screen again! And it looks good - its very pink and girlie and my comical bird looks perfect - it will certainly stand out if it manages to reach actual bookseller shelves. Here's hoping! It...

Published!

I got the best Valentine's present of all on Valentine's night - an email from my publisher telling me Knowing Me Knowing You had been published and was ready for me to order copies! It will be a few weeks before it is out in the marketplace but I will be sure to let you all know when it is available! I can't wait to see it as an actual book rather than a big fat manuscript I was sick of looking at!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi everyone - hope you have all had a great start to Valentine's Day. I had a very rude card from my husband which has had to be hidden away from the children! Aren't they the best kind?!

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!! For two reasons!!

1. I just gave the final proof of Knowing Me Knowing You the go ahead!! It has gone to the publisher and that's my last bit of input complete. The next time I see it it will be a perfectly formed product all pink and shiny!
