SuperSonic Breakfast Burrito
Raise your hand if you have a Sonic in your life.
*Raising Hand*
For those of you who didn't raise your hand, excuse me while I observe a moment of silence for you. For you are missing out on one of life's great…greatnesses.
Sonic is an Oklahoma-based drive-in (not drive-through) fast food chain that's starting to crop up all over the place…but that they're an Oklahoma entity is not why I'm knocking off one of their recipes this morning. Sonic, aside from the fact that I help fund their bottom ...

Today
Today…
Because I'm in New York City with my beloved…
Because I'm not doing laundry…
Because I kinda miss cooking…(yes, it's true; what's that all about?)
And most of all, because I love ya…
I'm giving away three (3) Le Creuset 7 1/2-Quart Round French Ovens, in this unbelievably cool and stylish "Cassis" color.
I love this color.
Love it very much.
And really, it's purple. Or eggplant. Or aubergine.
It's whatever you want it to be! And it doesn't really matter what color it is. What really...

Mushroom-and-Swiss Sliders with Spicy Fry Sauce
I went berserk the other night, whipping up some scrumptious sliders and topping them with some wine-soaked mushrooms and Swiss cheese. What can I say? I was feeling mischievous.
To slather on the slider buns—which were actually just storebought dinner rolls split like hamburger buns—I whipped up some spicy fry sauce. And for those of you who don't know what fry sauce is…then you've never been to Utah or eaten fries late at night in a college dorm mess hall.
Fry sauce is nothing more than...

Raspberry Cream Pie
It's so hot here. So horribly, oppressively hot. It's so hot that I was all set to make a warm recipe yesterday afternoon—one I'm dying to share with you here—but my psyche wouldn't allow it to happen. Yesterday was so hot, the thought of ingesting anything with a temperature higher than 40 degrees made me cry.
I don't want to cry anymore.
So I wound up whipping up this incredibly quick and easy raspberry cream pie, which hit the spot just beautifully. And it's totally simple, using just a...

Crème Brûlée
Today is a very special day.
It's a special day because I'm sharing with you my favorite dessert on earth. Mmm…Crème Brûlée. It's even fun to say, even if it is a pain in the neck to type. I've loved it for a very, very, very long time.
I included this crème brûlée recipe in my cookbook, and had planned for it to remain one of the cookbook-only recipes in there. But yesterday afternoon as I was getting ready to make a batch of the stuff (I was celebrating the fact that it was Thursday. It...

Pasta with Pancetta and Leeks
This meal took about fifteen minutes to make. It was so easy.
But more than that, it was absolutely delicious.
And now for the truth: I am a leek…freak. I absolutely love the things. I have my most favorite pizza recipe in the world in my cookbook—it's topped with leeks, bacon, thinly sliced potatoes, and goat cheese. It's all I want in life, other than tan skin and world peace. I made the pizza (for myself, of course, since my family thinks goat cheese will kill them) a couple of weeks ago...

Blueberry Crumb Cake
I had approximately one million blueberries in my refrigerator yesterday. They were left over from the Fourth of July and after making blueberry pancakes and blueberry muffins over the weekend, I'd barely made a dent in the stash. I considered making blueberry jam, but I wasn't sure I was psychologically equipped to sterilize jars and go scuba diving in our pond in search of my jar lifter, which I'm certain my boys had used as a frog catcher earlier this year…but that's another story for...

Tastiness
Here's a recap of all the step-by-step recipes over on the Tasty Kitchen Blog. All of these recipes were submitted by different Tasty Kitchen members…and there are some winners in here.
Lettuce Wraps. Loved these.
The Mushroom Soup. This really was divine. I can't wait till the temperature drops below 90 so I can make it again.
Butter Chicken. Okay, seriously. If you haven't tried this…well, let's just say you must. You must, you must, you must.
