Tracy Banghart grew up in rural Maryland and spent her summers on a remote island in northern Ontario. All of that isolation and lovely scenery gave her the time to read voraciously and the inspiration to write her own stories. Always a bit of a nomad, Tracy now travels the world Army-wife style with her husband, kids, and pets.

(For reference, this was insanely fast — usually it takes 1-2 years after a manuscript is complete for it to hit shelves.)

Love how this romance centers so much around the friendship between Zara and the Sensational Six. The banter and dialogue is A++. Such a fun book!

Red as Royal Blood by Elizabeth Hart
"This was so much fun. Tracy - er, I mean, Elizabeth (🤭😉) - has carved out such a great niche writing plucky, resourceful heroines that feel authentic and never caricatured. And I loved how the romance tropes she utilized (enemies-to-lovers, forced pr" Read more of this review »

“A book is really like a lover. It arranges itself in your life in a way that is beautiful.”
Maurice Sendak

“Maybe heaven was innocence, limbo was ignorance, and hell was fiery illumination.”
Kimberly Sabatini, Touching the Surface

“One does not sleep well, sometimes, when one is twenty-nine on the morrow, and unmarried, in a community and connection where the unmarried are simply those who have failed to get a man.”
L.M. Montgomery, The Blue Castle

“The truly creative mind in any field is no more than this: A human creature born abnormally, inhumanly sensitive. To him... a touch is a blow, a sound is a noise, a misfortune is a tragedy, a joy is an ecstasy, a friend is a lover, a lover is a god, and failure is death. Add to this cruelly delicate organism the overpowering necessity to create, create, create -- so that
without the creating of music or poetry or books or buildings or something of meaning, his very breath is cut off from him. He must create, must pour out creation. By some strange, unknown, inward urgency he is not really alive unless he is creating.”
Pearl S. Buck

“You don’t like me, do you?’ he asked. ‘And yet, you liked it when I held your hand.’
I stood there, burning with humiliation.
He smiled. A spark of interest illuminated his eyes.
‘I find that so intriguing.’
‘I didn’t like it,’ I said, when I finally found my voice. ‘I hated it.’
Marko smiled.
‘Shall we try it again, then, just to be sure?”
Vanessa Garden, Captivate

Thanks Rachel! I'm SO glad you enjoyed SV! :-D

I love your idea for a Dianthe prequel. She's definitely got a story, that's for sure. Makes me so happy knowing I'm not the only one who wants to see more of her. ;-)

Happy reading!

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) Hi Tracy! Thanks so much for the add :) I've finished Shattered Veil and I have to say, I truly loved it! Very much looking forward to more. Oh, and where Dianthe is concerned....I reckon a prequel to SV telling Dianthe's story would be pretty awesome. Would love to know how she came to be so kick-ass! Just a thought :)

Anywhoo. Looking forward to talking books with you and reading SV's sequel in the future :-D
