My Favorite Day
This morning, these appeared on my doorstep--Author Copies! This time I received The Veil and the German language edition of Inamorata. My cup runneth over. This is almost better than Christmas. Until this moment, all an author usually sees is bits and pieces of a book: the manuscript, of course, but also the cover, the interior design, and all the dozens of little things that constantly need your opinion and your input. Today, the German-language edition of Inamorata: Unsterblicher Ruhm (Which my translator tells me means "Undying Glory") is scheduled to hit the shelves, and is featured in this promotion in the German marketplace (as I only had one year of German in high school, really my fluency ends at Guten Tag, so I cannot tell you what it says). Write Here, Write Now
On September 12th, I'll be taking part in the Seattle7Writers event Write Here, Write Now, at the Bainbridge Island Art Museum. This is a fundraiser for the Bainbridge Island Artisan Network (BARN), and will be a fun, fast-paced day of mini-lessons with about a dozen Seattle7Writers, including mini-sessions, a one-on-one with an author, an entertaining keynote address, and the chance to network with other writers.
