New E-Book releases

Over the years, I've been asked many times when my old historical romances will be re-released. I'm pleased to announce that the first of them:  A Candle in the Dark--which was not only my first historical romance, but my first published book--is currently available for Kindle and the Nook.

Candle won Romance Writers of America's prestigious RITA award when it was released in 1994, and although it's definitely a romance, I think you can easily see the seeds of the historical fiction writer I've become. The book was a little unusual for its time; its main characters were a not quite sympathetic prostitute and the alcoholic doctor she hires to escort her to the California gold fields (where she hopes to start a brothel) via the Isthmus of Panama.  Lots of pain and angst here, people, but that's pretty typical for romances from that era.

Anyway, over the next few weeks, the next three (including the cult classic, The Portrait), originally published by Dell,  will also go up. I'm still waiting to see the rights status on the four published by HarperCollins (Fall from Grace, The Way Home, The Gentleman Caller and A Season in Eden), but I'm hopeful those also will be available this year.

In the meantime, here's the link to A Candle in the Dark (Kindle version--the Nook should be up in a few days, and I'll post the link then). Enjoy!
