I feel like this is a bit spoilery since it’s supposed to be Nel but Gudsriki has been out for months now so… I don’t know why I always draw Violet (or not Violet in this case) with a braid thing but I guess I kinda associate her with vikings and vikings with braids. 

Cool! I like the orderly joint lines, the best part of fan art is seeing all the ways the characters can be interpreted :)

Your novels are classified as being young adult. Was this a decision your publisher made? Either way, what would you say distinguishes young adult from regular adult fiction?

I didn’t write them to be YA, they just got published by a YA publisher. I don’t think they’re not YA, but really there’s no distinction beyond who it’s marketed to.
