Jealous Gods: Editing
It’s been all about editing since production wrapped, and now the editing is coming to a close. All that remains is to complete a few FX shots, polish the sound quality, and package it in a format that theaters can play. Then it’s done.
The movie looks to be around 1h50m, cut down from a slow 2h15m rough cut into a sleek, fast, fun feature. No cuts are from censorship or anyone’s decision but my own. What you’ll see is still the “director’s cut.”
And maybe someday, you’ll see some deleted scenes or an extended version…
But- This is important-
IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT THE CREDIT OR CAMEO PERKS AND HAVE NOT YET CONTACTED ME, PLEASE DO SO NOW!!! THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE!
The movie should be finished and online for IndieGogo supporters within one month. For “Influence” perk buyers, expect the review cut very, very soon. We just need to hear back about music rights, then it goes online for the select few who get to influence the film with their thoughts. It could be any day now.
The “home stretch” is in the past. We are now in the act of crossing the finish line.
See the above! If you got the perk and haven’t talked to me about fulfilling it, this is your last chance!

A song I’ve been working on about the novel “Valhalla” by Ari Bach (the-walrus-squad on tumblr). I still need to write a chorus, polish the vocal and instrumental tracks, and master etc, but I think what I have so far gets the message across.
Since Valhalla (the first book of a trilogy) is kind of a fun and very self-aware romp through the conceptual space of spy fiction, I thought it was fitting that it have a good old fashioned James Bond song. And fortunately the Norse mythic theming of the book really lends itself to the off-kilter feel that you’d want in a 007 theme. (John Bradley)
Valhalla got a Bond theme!!!

I haven’t written about Ragnarok in some time, which I should’ve
Anyhow, it’s really fucking awesome omg
I was actually amazed that there were places from my country mentioned, like the fact there is Reštaurácia Radičová in Ukiyo, and then UNEGA 07 is over Prešov (the fact my country still exists in the 23rd century is unbelievable wow)
I also want more insider info about the Unspeakable Darkness it’s so excitingly disgusting
One thing I have to say though, the way Mishka went about attacking V team on Mars was just… not really like her? She acts all cold and professional, and then immediately alarms 4 Valkyries to her presence right as she gets onto Martian soil?
Also, I see how Violet is going about her relationship with Vibs, and I’m disgusted at how much I see myself in that and how much I know it’s wrong. For shame, Violet, for shame
Cool to have a fan in Slovakia! There’s an entire novella about the Unspeakable Darkness in the works if the books ever take off. It chronicles not only V Team’s fight with a U.D. assassin called “The Red Ant” but documents the Ant’s rise to power within the cult, and there you see its inner workings which are the most disturbing and twisted culture I could invent. I very much hope I get to publish it!
I’m 50/50 on Mishka. I can definitely see your point and you may be right. The idea was that she didn’t care to play hide and seek with them and was confident she could kill the whole team, but realistically and dramatically you may be right. It may have been more real and more fun to have her sneak up on them rather than march in.
