Jacob Zuma goes to Davos


The World Economic Forum hold an annual conference every year in Davos, where leaders and industrialist exchange thoughts on the world's economic problems. This year, South African President Jacob Zuma alongside President Goodluck Jonathan prresent the theme "De-Risking Africa". Jacob Zuma said in Switzerland on Wednesday.

"Together as business, government, labour and the community sector, we must tackle our three fierce enemies -- poverty, unemployment and inequality," he told the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Mali - French Military Intervention -Security co-operation or neo-colonialism?


While Mali is participating in the AFCON Soccer cup being held in South Africa, France sends her troops into Mali and bombs Northern Mali to prevent “the establishment of a terrorist state”. Mali is rich in a number of resources, including uranium. France now has 59 nuclear reactors, generating nearly 80% of its electricity, making it the world’s largest net electricity exporter. In 1999, the French parliament confirmed three objectives in relation to this newly found wealth, the first: security of supply.
