The Meaning of Fibular Deficiency

Fibular deficiency consists of shortening or entire absence of the fibula; previously known as fibular hemimelia. Oscar Pistorius was born with bilateral fibular deficiency, which means he was born without the smaller bones in his legs that serve as the attachment of many of the muscles that control foot and ankle movement. This condition also usually causes deformities of the foot and ankle, as well as bowing of the tibia. Since this condition causes severe problems with gait, the recommended treatment is early below-knee amputation. Pistorius had his amputations before ever learning to walk, and was fit with prostheses six months later. He became an inspirational sports icon especially when made the semi-finals in the men’s 400m competition at the London, Olympics, showing that even without legs he was one of the 24 fastest men in the world at this distance. In trying to avoid a life sentence as he stands trial for the murder of the 29-year-old law graduate and model, Reeva Steenkamp, the state proscecutor attempts demonstrate that Pistorius' testimony is one big FIB (lie).

Gerrie Nel - State Proscecutor in Oscar Pistorius Murder Trial as a "Zombie Stopper"

In cross-examination of Oscar Pistorius, prosecutor Gerrie Nel asked the defendant if he knew what a "zombie-stopper" was. Pistorius response was NO. The court then viewed a film taken from Sky-News months before he shot Reeva Steenkamp, where Pistorius is shooting watermelons with "stompie stoppers" (expanding hollow-point bullets). After the watermelon explodes, Pistorious remarks  "It's not as soft as brains but f*** it is a zombie stopper." Oscar Pistorius  sobbed and howled in the witness box when describing the moment he realised he had killed her.

C.A.R 2014 - Genocide

20 years afterwards, Rwandan genocide of 1994 could be repeated in Central African Republic, which is in a 'state of anarchy'. “The international community failed the people of Rwanda 20 years ago. And we are at risk of not doing enough for the people of the CAR today,” said Ban Ki-moon. “Atrocity crimes are being committed in this country,” he said. “Ethno-religious cleansing is a reality. Most members of the Muslim minority have fled.” Two thousand French peacekeepers and 6,000 African Union forces have failed to stop a conflict that erupted after the mostly Muslim Seleka rebels seized power a year ago in the majority Christian state.

Calling Jacob Zuma a THIEF

The Democratic Alliance's lawyer argued in front of the High Court in Johannesburg "A reasonable person could conclude from the public protector's Nkandla report that the president stole from the public." The DA released an SMS soon after Public Protector Thuli Madonsela published her final report on Nkandla, saying "The Nkandla report shows how Zuma stole your money to build his R246m home." Summarising Ms Madonsela’s report, Judge Hellens said a reasonable interpretation of the phrase used in the report that a lack of proper project management and oversight had created a "licence to loot" entailed that the wording of the DA’s SMS constituted fair comment.

International Court of Justice Bans Japanese Whaling

International Court of Justice says that Japan's program to take minke, fin, and humpback whales in the Southern Ocean is not based on sound science. Australia brought the case in May 2010, that the programme was not for scientific research as claimed by Tokyo. Japan had previously claimed that it would never abandon such a deep-seated cultural practice but said that they would abide by the ruling.

Jacob Zuma Resigns over Nkandla Report

According to a New Age article, Jacob Zuma said, "I did not use taxpayers' money................ "They put in windows that I don’t even want. Then they turn around and say this fellow used the government's money.” According to the Mail & Guardian, documents show the president intervened in the Nkandla revamp, despite claims to the contrary.
