Settling into Spring
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter! I don't know how the weather is going in your area right now, but here in Pennsylvania it is well into Spring and STILL snowing. Which is seriously dragging down my mood. Spring is my favorite season and usually the season where I am most productive. Well, the productivity hasn't flagged, but I am hoping that the weather will shape up soon.
On a completely different note, I realized via an email from a supporter that I never announced that the "Golden Ticket" giveaway had winners, at least in the newsletter. All of the "Golden Tickets" have been sent out and included a bonus character drawing by me. The winners were: Max S., Jason M., Crystal P., Jodie S., Laura P., and Barbara S. They included 3 paperback purchasers and 3 preorder purchasers. I did put out photos of each package the week after launch. If you want to check out my other "Paquito" drawings, they are on the Clean Fiction Instagram and Facebook Group. I will be having another package give away soon because I have been working hard to find producers of the highest quality for Clean Fiction swag. That way I can offer swag to patrons on Patreon AND in more giveaways like the "Golden Ticket" giveaway.
Speaking of giveaways, I am pleased to say that the Spring Edition is doing even better than the Winter Edition when it comes to copies purchased, given away, and read on Kindle Unlimited. I am so happy that the community has grown, and after talking to the reviewers this past week, I can tell you that the Autumn Edition is going to be one for the books! If you are interested in advertising your book or your business in the Autumn Edition, I can send you the information via email. Your request can be sent directly to CleanFictionMagazine@gmail.com or submitted via the "Service Listing" form on cleanfictionmagazine.com
Hope you have a lovely day!

FREE Spring Edition
This month has been a whirl wind so far, and the dreary weather here in snowy Pennsylvania has made the days most unpleasant. What perked me up from my doldrums last night was checking on the progress of the Spring Edition give away. Look what I found!
The Spring Edition Hit #1 Best Seller on Amazon in Books and Reading Literary Criticism!
Even though it is not showing on the listing right now, you can see it for yourself at this link: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/bestselle... And believe me, I had to do some serious digging to find it again. We also now have 3 five star ratings! Did you also know that the Winter Edition is still sitting in the Top 100 of Literary Criticism as well, almost 5 months on? The success of this venture is all up to you, the reader, and for that I thank you most heartily!
Get a FREE Ebook Copy of the Spring Edition 2022
Happy Holy Week! We are still giving away Ebook copies of the Spring Edition for FREE for through Friday, April 15th (Good Friday) on Amazon. Tell your family, friends, and coworkers because I cannot offer the Spring Edition for FREE again for another 90 days. Link: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B09THW77ND/

Happy Days Ahead!
One year ago today started my journey as a novelist. My debut novel was "Dreamlight," a Fantasy story with Faith ( I will warn that it is not for the faint of heart). It was this book that the Lord used to bolster my confidence in my ability and to push me (kicking and screaming mind you) into the new life that He had in store for me. I am so grateful for all of your support over this past whirlwind year. Now, with 5 books and 2 magazines completed and 3 books and 2 magazines coming soon, I look to the future that God has provided for with excitement and determination.
So much is happening this week so put on your galoshes and let us wade into the April Showers together!
Back by popular demand, the Best Bookstagram Contest is starting a fresh submission period starting April 1st and ending April 30th. With the extra time given to us by the lack of a Summer Edition this year, we can spread the contests from now until Autumn arrives. If you want to know more about what is coming, you can A) Read the Spring Edition or B) Check out the Clean Fiction Calendar at cleanfictionmagazine.com Everything for the Autumn Edition should be there waiting for you with all the information you should need to participate and hopefully WIN!
Another Adventurous April happening is the launch of the Clean Fiction Patreon (patreon.com/cleanfiction). Yes, you heard that right! A Patreon. This will allow us to not rely solely on Amazon for our distribution as well as connect us together with the Clean Fiction Community on an exclusive Discord Server (Clean Fiction Community). You can check out the specifics over at the website if you are interested, but some of the tiers include: Sneak Peeks, Sweet Swag, and Clean Fiction Merch! All of this launches April 1st!
ALSO, (I know what you are thinking. "AMY LYNN When will this list end!", but patience is a virtue.) you can find Clean Fiction Merch including t-shirts, stickers, hats, and mugs over at our RedBubble Shop (https://www.redbubble.com/people/sire...) If you are wondering about the odd name, you must blame it on AOL (#IguessIamoldnow). And with that, my listing of what is coming up comes to a close, but don't be fooled! I have another exciting announcement for next week.

Thankful and Ready
What I set out to do last July 2021 has been completed. Me, along with the other reviewers, writers, artists, and proofreader, have donated hours of our time and energy to bring you not one but two beautiful publications in which all the advertising was completely FREE. My own father who has been in publishing since the 70's thought that I was crazy to give away so much of my time and effort, but now as I look upon what God has allowed me to build, I am in awe. In a time where everyone has been at least touched by struggle, we have been able to give back to help grow with those who are reaching out in God's name as well as those who can be reached by God's name. It has been a wild ride and not always enjoyable, but I am thankful that I was allowed to start this journey.
Now I am READY to take the next step forward. The next edition of the magazine will be an Autumn Edition launching September 20th. I am taking the Summer to build the magazine as a business and to give our reviewers a chance to get ahead on their reading/writing. Giving myself this break in the action will allow me to set up multiple magazine editions at once. Some may find this even crazier than what I have already accomplished, but you must understand that my family has run a weekly publication for 50 years. When I was working in the office with them, we would create a full 24 page tabloid size paper EVERY WEEK. That includes: gathering advertising, making new advertisements, contacting customers, making featured content, laying out the pages, proofing, and polishing before going to print. How many days do you think that takes? TWO AND A HALF, because the paper goes to the printer Wednesday afternoon. So that must take an army of people right? Nope, just 4. My plan is to run Clean Fiction the same way. Always ahead so that...OOOO I don't want to spoil what is coming, but I can assure you that it is something big! Hoping that your day is a good one!

So Excited!
It's here, here, HERE! The paperback edition of Clean Fiction: Spring Edition 2022 has arrived at my house and it is just as wonderful as I imagined it would be! If you want to experience my rather embarrassing level of excitement, feel free to view my first look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWXL9... . We already have two (one still available!) Golden Ticket Winners (Super Fans Laura P. and Jodie S.), and I realized that our Ebook preorderers might want a chance to win one as well. My husband was able to eek out a few more from the same filament so I will be having a drawing for those who have preordered. Send an image of your receipt or an image of the page with the "Preordered" banner on the top to CleanFictionMagazine@gmail.com . I have already received submissions from Super Fans Max S., Jason M., and Crystal P..
Some features of the upcoming magazine include: 5 Genre Sections (Fantasy, Science Fiction, Romance, Mystery, and Manga), Upcoming and Recent Releases from Many Clean Publishing Houses, 2 Original Micro-stories, Several Articles Written By Christian Authors, Your Editor's Favorite Crossword, NEW Contests and Contest Winners, and Listings Ranging from Editors to Artists. I have also included a Mini Media Kit in the back of the publication if you were interested in supporting the magazine through advertising. I am happy to say that the pricing is WAY below industry standards and will be sufficient to pay all of our reviewers, writers, and artists for their hard work! This is partially due to the fact that I live in a super affordable portion of the world AND because the wonderful Karen Hutchison has offered her 50 years of proofreading experience free of charge. You could say that, contrary to what some may believe:
Clean Fiction Magazine is 100% KAREN Approved!

Preorder Time!
The Ebook version of Clean Fiction: Spring Edition 2022 is only $2.99. This edition can be easily viewed on your computer, smart phone, or tablet/Kindle fire. Because it is a Print Replica, it cannot be viewed on a normal kindle device...yet. According to Amazon the newest paperwhites should be able to view these Print Replicas soon (but I am not holding my breath). Either way, I highly recommend that you enjoy Clean Fiction magazine on a device with color anyway. Why? The book covers are beautiful and the art found within is much better enjoyed in its full color glory! Tell your friends and family to order their Ebook copy today and help Clean Fiction top the charts of Literary Criticism for a second time!

There are only two more days to snag your FREE Ebook copy of the Winter Edition 2021. "But why would I want a past edition?" You might say. Well, the business information, reviews, puzzles, and articles don't go bad and are still a great resource to fill your TBR pile with wonderful books, authors, and presses. Really, the transient nature that usually is involved with a magazine does not apply to Clean Fiction Magazine. Why? We don't care what year a book came out. We just care that it is good and will continue to be good for as long as an author will offer it. That is why we will continue to offer past editions for your reading pleasure for FREE as often as we can.
That being said, I have another chance at something FREE coming this Monday, March 14th. My husband is starting a 3D Printing business and his abilities combined with my art skills makes me feel like we are a power couple (Insert image of eye masks, capes, and epic music here...though, no spandex please...seriously, no one wants to see that!). Though he has taken to calling them Clean Fiction Golden Tickets (even though they are orange), I am happy to put these three specially printed 3D bookmarks up for grabs (See Image at our website under "blog"). He doesn't have any more of this color filament so this is really a one time thing when it comes to the color.
How do you win a bookmark? See this week's Community Activity below.

This Week's Community Activity:
Win a Golden Ticket
Be the first three people to order a paperback copy of Clean Fiction: Spring Edition 2021, and you will win a Clean Fiction Golden Ticket.* The price of the paperback edition will be $16.99 due to us adding 27 EXTRA PAGES of content, but I promise that the quality makes the price worth every penny. On Monday, March 14th in the morning I will be toddling down the stairs at around 6am EDT (Don't forget to set your clocks ahead this Sunday!) and jumping onto KDP to press the publish button on the paperback. For the math people out there, I am going to give you as much information as I can to estimate what time this will be for you. I live in Western Pennsylvania (so 6am my time), Amazon will make me go through the manual proofreading checks (which may take up to a half hour), and then Amazon will take it's sweet time sending the book to final launch (Which according to them could be days, but really is usually only a couple of hours.). After you have purchased your paperback, snap a photo of your receipt and send it to CleanFictionMagazine@gmail.com I will be camping my email that day so you should know if you are a winner pretty quickly. I hope that I get the first edition, but honestly if you guys are tenacious I might not get it this time. Good luck and be thankful that this does not require unwrapping copious amounts of chocolate!
* Sorry only shipping to the US and Canada. UNLESS you are going to be at the Realm Makers Conference in July. If you are international, I could give you the bookmark then.

Cover Reveal Day and a Winner!
(To see the cover image visit cleanfictionmagazine.com or stop by on social media)
TA DA! Behold the Clean Fiction: Spring Edition 2022 cover! This cover was a labor of love. It features a character from my upcoming book, "Cadogan" (Coming later this year). Her name is Eseiwi which means "Good is Not Lost". Each piece of this image is symbolic, but to explain it would also include spoilers for the book. So, instead I will explain a little bit about the first image that appeared on a Clean Fiction cover.
The woman in the image on the cover of the Winter Edition is Audrianna, the main character in my book "Dreamlight". She is caught between two sides of a war in the island country of Andona. In a land where your allegiance is shown in your eye color, her dual-hued eyes are reflected by a dual-hued dress. The delicate tracery of vines that are reaching for her is the representation of God's love reaching toward her. When you look to her other hand, you find it bound. Bound by the darkness magic that has held her captive since birth. The book itself is themed "Finding Hope in the Darkness", and consequently that is the theme of the image as well. Both images are 11"x14" acrylic paintings. I can use a future update to talk more about the process if you would be interested. You can find a downloadable/printable image of Audrianna in the Members Only portion of the website. The image of Eseiwi will also be available soon. In a short note about the future, I would like the artists among you to be on the look out for a contest to design the cover of the Autumn Edition.
Speaking of contests, WE HAVE A WINNER! Congratulations to Linda Brendle for winning the Cover Art Contest! You can find her and more of her books at https://lifeaftercaregiving.wordpress...

Saddened and in Prayer
This morning, I wanted to share my excitement over finishing the cover painting for the Spring Edition and make light comments about how the Cover Art Contest was going along, but I find myself too saddened to make light.
It is times like these that I feel helpless. My pastor has been in contact with our missionaries in Ukraine overnight. The church families had been evacuated, but some had stayed behind to protect the church. There is also a children's home in another area run by the same missionary group. We do not know if everyone there has been evacuated, but it is close to the fighting and they are unable to be contacted. Those who were left are afraid and unsure of their ability to escape. I type to you at this moment in tears for our brothers and sisters, both in Ukraine AND in Russia. My heart is breaking for them. They are family.
So today I will use the only weapon that I have at my disposal. Prayer. Prayers for protection. Prayers for an end to the fighting. Prayers for those forced to fight. Prayers for the families of those already lost.
Some may give in to the fear of the unknown future that this act has pushed us into, but I find solace in the fact that if our Lord took me today, it would be gain, not loss. Uncertainty is God's job, not mine.

Pray for Ukraine
I ask you to pray for our brothers and sisters.
When it comes to social media I am going to keep things light. I am sure that many others are calling for prayer and for me at least, social media is an escape, not where I go to get the news. Also, the posts this week are preschedule and I have decided not to change them. I try to shine light in the darkness and things are feeling pretty dark right now. So shine bright, my friends.
