Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior

How important is it to live in peace? If peace is important to you, then recall the great news that has caused great joy for all people, a Savior that was born to all people (see Luke 2:10-11); and if you do so, praise God in saying "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests" (13-14). #peacebewithyoualways

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior

Have you ever met a person who, after being despised and rejected, out of love, is still willing to stand up for you and suffer the consequences (see Isaiah 53: 3,5)? Such a person is rare; and when you meet someone as this, consider thanking them for their generosity, goodness, and love (see Psalm 63:3). #selflessservice

Penning words is truly an undertaking; but when words are able to teach, inspire, motivate, help, and guide others, it is worth the amount of time that it takes to write them. There is such a book that does all of these things, and so much more, and that is the best-selling book of all, the Bible. If you would like to experience words that are God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, and equipping you for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17), this might be a book worthy of reading. #readabookthatjustmightchangeyourlife #inaverygoodway & #betransformed

How amazing is it to know someone that has many titles, (Isaiah 9:6), but only one name (7:14)? Besides celebrating His birth, also consider praising Immanuel, because if it wasn't for him we would not be enjoying the most wonderful time of the year, the true meaning of Christmas. #worthyofknowing

Do you continue to search for greener pastures? In doing so, have you discovered that they are not always greener? Psalm 23:1-3 reminds us that we do not need to keep looking for greener pastures because they have always been right in front of us. With the Lord as our shepherd, we lack nothing. He makes us lie down in green pastures and refreshes our souls. #quitsearching #focus & #berestored

How well do you dress yourself? We are all born in to this world wearing sin; but Zechariah 3:4 provides us with insight in to how we can dress ourselves and be successful in life. He says that God will take away our sins and dress us with fine garments; and if not, we can continue to be clothed in filth and not experience the finer things. #dressforsuccess & #beclothedinrighteousness

How is your self-worth? John 3:16 and Romans 5:8 help guide us in seeking answers to our self-worth. It is through the cross that solidifies our self-worth, not the broken people and culture that surrounds us. Therefore, do yourself a favor and reconsider your sources, seek your true worth, and believe in what is right and real. #beconfident & #courageous

There are moments when situations present themselves, such as when we see others struggling to make ends meet. When such situations arise, Leviticus 23:22 tells us to have a generous heart and "leave a little behind" to those in need. #givegenerously #fromtheheart & #beblessed

Have you ever been halted in amazement? There is no better time, than now, to pause and be captivated by the birth of Jesus, the son and radiance of God's glory (see Hebrews 1:3). In His honor and always, "Let all God's angels worship him" (1:6). He truly is a sight to behold. #gazeinwonderment & #beawed & #amazed #amiracleaboveall

Where does arguing get you? In 2 Timothy 2:23, Paul gives Timothy some wise advice when it comes to arguing with others. He said to not "have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know that they produce quarrels." The next time someone gets you fired up and says harsh and offensive words, take the higher road, don't quarrel, and remain kind (2:24). Hopefully, those offenders will seek him and repent so that they too will receive this knowledge of truth (2:25). #itisaboutwhatyousayandhowyousayit #speakwiselyandkindlybecause #kindwordsmatter
