Book Cover Saturday-War and Peace

I constantly see people putting out new versions of old books. Nothing wrong with that. They have to have covers too.Every now and again someone will want a cover recreated as well. Some best selling book that they think they can match the visual and sell as many copies. For the next few weeks Saturday will be dedicated to my recreation of classics. This week I've chosen War and Peace, not that this image would be quite large enouch for the large text. I chose to highlight the typical Russian church domes. With Napoleon red.

Book Cover Saturday- Don Quixote

I constantly see people putting out new versions of old books. Nothing wrong with that. They have to have covers too.Every now and again someone will want a cover recreated as well. Some best selling book that they think they can match the visual and sell as many copies. For the next few weeks Saturday will be dedicated to my recreation of classics. This week I've chosen Don Quixote. I read this one, in Spanish, long ago. Since most covers have Don Quixote on his horse, in full armor and the simple farmer Sancho Panza. I wanted some thing more current.

Book Cover Saturday-The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

I constantly see people putting out new versions of old books. Nothing wrong with that. They have to have covers too.Every now and again someone will want a cover recreated as well. Some best selling book that they think they can match the visual and sell as many copies. For the next few weeks Saturday will be dedicated to my recreation of classics. This week I've chosen The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. My favorite scene as a child, and still most memorable is Tom convincing anyone else to pain that fence. So that's what I've chosen for my version of the classic cover. there is lots of layering and blurs to make this seem like paint.

Book Cover Saturday-Moby Dick

I constantly see people putting out new versions of old books. Nothing wrong with that. They have to have covers too.Every now and again someone will want a cover recreated as well. Some best selling book that they think they can match the visual and sell as many copies. For the next few weeks Saturday will be dedicated to my recreation of classics. This week I've chosen Moby Dick. I enjoyed this one. Not only because of the strong colors that are useable but the little details. The white line on the right side are teeth. The eye is more human than whale. ThMy favorite would be the spear tips along the bottom.

Travel Thursday-Fairy Tale-Edit

[image error]For eighteen decades’ stories be told of a man of immense imagination. A bard who created for adults and the enjoyment of children. Using simple language and understandable prose. Stories that stand the test of time of fairies and mermaids. Fanciful worlds full of morals. Of men fighting for damsels against all manors of creature. Animals that talk with human quality and many times much smarter.
