Skater…

Another of the works in progress is currently titled Skater. It’s a working title… it had a different one a few weeks ago, but the characters changed a few things up on me. It is a domestic thriller/romance. It’s a little different from my normal fare.

I published four excerpts from the book and have them linked below. I’m hoping to have the beta reads done and be ready to publish in March or April. As always, I’d LOVE to get your feedback about what you’ve seen so far.

The Skater – Ex...

Calling All Testers

Trying something here… There is a new toy available in my WordPress arsenal, embedding a Kindle book Read More

listing in my post directly. It gives the option for a free preview of the book, as well as sending you STRAIGHT to my book’s Kindle listing.

It’s kind of spiffy.

If you haven’t read this one, feel free to hit up the free preview and check it out. If you have read it, check out one of my titles you haven’t read, and/or share it with a friend.

As I mention sharing...

Skater – excerpt IV

It is a domestic thriller/romance. It’s a little different from my normal fare. I don’t have a timeline for it yet, but hopefully it’ll be polished up in a few months and ready for release.

My Reading List

As I have embarked on this quest of writing, I have found that my reading habits have changed… changed a good bit, actually.

In high school, I read what I had to read, no more, no less. Oddly, I did write a book. It was a Creative Writing assignment for English class (called Language Arts by the kids now…) I really wish I could dig that out. It was an illustrated kid’s book about a kid that goes to a planet where everything is backwards. It drove my teacher (Mrs. Frazier, I recall) nut...

Notebook

There is a short story competition and I’m thinking of this as my entry. It has to be 600-2000 words (this is 1996…) and there has to be a black notebook. The other requirement is that someone needs to get $20,000. I’d LOVE to get some feedback on this story.

The courier van slid to a stop on the gravel in the trailer park.  The driver looked around cautiously.  Evening was giving way to night as the shadows lengthened around him.  There were no external lights, and few shining from the ...

Wanna Buy a Book?

I guess that’s the thing I haven’t been doing enough with my blog… pushing my books. I probably ought to do that. Book sales have slowed, even though I have a new title out. Partly because I haven’t specifically asked for sales, I guess. Here are some outlines. Read More

Are You Unlimited?

Jut about everyone has Amazon Prime, and a lot of people have a Kindle… at least the app, if not the device… But do you know about Kindle Unlimited?

Kindle Unlimited, or KU is a program Amazon has for people that like to read. It’s like Prime video, but for books. Authors sign their books up for KU and then readers can read them for no additional cost. KU is about $7/month, if I recall.

Authors are paid based on pages read. Amazon takes all of the subscription fees for the month a...
