New Book by the End of the Week?

I am THAT close. The Skater has a new, permanent name, and I think I am close to a cover reveal. Look for the reveal on Wednesday, and publishing on Friday! Assuming all goes well between now and then.

Yesterday (Easter) was a road trip day for one of my boys and I. Jeep parts were needed, and the central part was in Kentucky. We did a fifteen and a half hour run there and back, and had an enjoyable time hanging out and talking.

Another The Call excerpt

This is the rest of the excerpt from Monday’s post. I hope you like it.

“Hey, Steve,” he said to a large trucker that was getting ready to walk out to his truck.  “My girlfriend and I are in a jam.  Can you give us a ride to the Colorado line?  I’ll give you five hundred bucks.”

“Cops after you?”

“No… bad people.  Come on… five hundred, cash.”

“How’d you know my name?” Read More

“It’s on your shirt…  Come on, Steve.  It’ll be worth your while.”

The chopper swooped low aro...

Thank You

My best two months of free downloads before this month were 32 and 26. On the first day of this promo, I hit 52. The second day only 5. But then some of the marketing hit… this was the first tie I paid to market… There were 593 downloads. I was truly shocked. I thought that if I could get to 200 or 300 hundred, I would be thrilled. Monday kicked another 268.

For those of you playing the home game, that is a total of 918. Leaving yesterday as the last day of the promo.

I set...

The Call excerpt and Planning Vengeance still FREE

This is part of an excerpt from The Call, which is currently in the pipeline. It hasn’t hit ANY of my beta readers yet, so things are still subject to change. I’d love to get any reactions you might have.

The speedometer in the Mustang was well past buried.  It went to one-twenty, and that was four thousand revs on the tach.  He glanced down and the tach showed five thousand.  That meant they were going one-fifty and accelerating.  The chasing cars were well behind, but the helicopter was...

Nicole in Skater, excerpt II

This is a new excerpt in Skater. It features Nicole Dixon… who I knew had so much more of a story when I wrote her into Planning Vengeance… and her relationship with Nick before meeting Rolf. She’s still a smart-ass, but she isn’t invincible. Things could easily have turned out different.

“What are you doing here?” Nick said as he rolled along backwards facing Nicole Dixon.  It was Friday night, and he was working the floor at the rink.

“I forgot you worked here, Nick.  I came skating wit...

After practice, Nick went home and grabbed a quick shower.  He jogged back out to his car and headed to the Dixon house.  He hopped out of the car and walked to the door.  When he knocked, Sharon, Nicole’...
