Kindle Vella
Amazon is getting ready to launch a new Kindle product… Vella. This is aimed at “serialized content”. If you are familiar, think TV episodes, but books. Effectively it would be serialized stories from 600-5,000 words each, connected together. Most will likely be in the 2,000-3,000 range. Read More
Currently the product will only be available on the iOS app and on Amazon.com, but I would assume that Android users won’t be left out, not those that read on a Kindle device.

As a re...

Triple Cross FREE promo
It started yesterday… and was announced on the blog Tuesday. Triple Cross is FREE for a few days. I’d LOVE for you to grab your Kindle copy while it is FREE. This is the first time this book has been promo’d, and even if I wanted to, I won’t be able to do it again until sometime in the summer or later.

Jason “JD” Ross stepped off the plane in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. It had been surreal. Wearing his Dress Greens, ...

Exclusive Content
I’m always trying to up my game… and next up will be adding exclusive content for subscribers to the blog. Over the next few weeks, I will be adding exclusive excerpts from upcoming books to the blog. These won’t go out on any social media… they will only be publicized through the subscriber channel or by visiting the blog.
Stopping in and taking a look around will be rewarded, as will being a subscriber. Social media, especially FaceBook has dramatically curtailed the ability of creators ...

Triple Cross FREE

I just set up Triple Cross to be FREE April 23-27. This is the first time it has been offered for free, except through Kindle Unlimited, where it is always free to read. This post isn’t going out on FaceBook or Twitter or any other social media sites… you get to see it because you are a subscriber.
I truly value my subscribers.
There will be a couple of subscriber only posts coming up with exclusive content… largely preview reads of upcoming books. Stay tuned, and thank you.

Needle in a Haystack
As mentioned last week, writing the book is the easy part… at least easier than selling the book.

Kindle, on Amazon, has at least 9,000,000 titles. Some estimates are up over 12,000,000. Amazon isn’t saying, but the assumption is that over a million titles are added every year, and even that is accelerating. Just to give an idea of scale, if those were paper-published titles, the shelf to hold them would be over 1500 MILES long, and would be expanding at about a hundred miles a year,...

Meanwhile, on Vocal
I haven’t mentioned it too much here… and I probably should… but I am also writing on Vocal Media. It is a site that allows authors to post up and get paid for their traffic. The pay for traffic is seriously weak, but it’s something. But they also have contests, some of which I have suitable material to enter. Read More

I have dropped a few stories on Vocal of late, and thought I would mention them here.

Lies and Omissions is out!
You can get your Kindle copy… it is live and in living color…

I wrote a bunch of posts on “Skater“. I put up excerpts and stuff. But, when it came time to actually release it, the working title changed to Lies and Omissions. Read More
Giving away the whole story would make it much less fun to read, but here is the quickie version.
Nick had more than a crush, and Linda ended up being more than a cougar. There are a bunch of twists, an abuser, a betrayal and somebody has to di...

This is the Hard Part
In the last year and a half, I’ve released six books… five novels and one collection of novellas and short stories. Honestly, while it isn’t “easy,” writing the books is the easier part of authoring. I can control it. I can set a schedule, brainstorm ideas and plot twists and research characters.

It’s after that when I lose control. Read More
I can’t make people read it… even for free. Heck, even getting the word out that I have a book is tough, much less getting actual sales. ...

Lies and Omissions

There it is… the new permanent title of the book I called Skater while working on it. I never wanted it to be called that… but I was stuck in that mode for so long. My plan is to release the book on Friday, with a NEW chapter that nobody has read but me… Flying without a net on that, no Beta Readers comments, etc.
Linda has a buried past, but when she falls in love, it claws its way back, threatening to blow up her new life. Not only could she lose the love she never knew she needed...
