Dig Two Graves excerpt

This is a short chapter of background on Bill Prince from Dig Two Graves. It is a little longer than most of the excerpts I publish on the blog, but I decided to hold it together. The timeframe is the summer of 1960. June 26th. I hope you enjoy it.

Bill Prince caught a flight on a transport from the airfield at Fort Benning up to Wurtsmith Air Force Base near Oscoda, Michigan.  It was a lucky break, saving him a couple of days of train and bus rides.  He planned on hitchhiking up to Ona...

Writing a Book is Easy

In fact, when you type “The End”, you are just getting to the hard part. Over and over. I was reminded of this by a couple of things… first, a promo (now ended) that I had set up and was running for my book Lies and Omissions… second, by the release a couple of days prior of Unknown Caller… and third, by my work on another future book. Each of these represented something tougher than writing the book in the first place. Read More

A cousin of mine called over the weekend to talk to me abo...

Planning Vengeance excerpt

Planning Vengeance was my first book. The characters that were created set the stage for the rest of the Dixon-Prince books, but this is where Jack, Amy and the rest of the crew were born and their values were instilled. Obviously, as the first book in the series, it is a great place to jump into the Dixon-Prince saga and series.

Sean Murphy sat on the bridge of his fishing boat, Murphy’s Law.  She was a 70’ trawler with a forward pilothouse.  She had all the latest navigation gear and ra...

Pick One or Both

I have two… yes, two… big things going on right now. You can pick one, or both!

Lies and Omissions is only 99 cents right now. That’s 67% off the regular price of $2.99. It is a domestic suspense with a side of romance. It is a fun story set in the 1980s. Linda Keller thought that she had outrun her old life and built a better one. But life had other plans for her. You can check out the excerpt on here from Wednesday.

Unknown Caller released TODAY. It is the 6th book in the...

Read it on Your Kindle Device or App

If you have a document that you want to read on your Kindle device or Kindle app, there is a way to get it there. Depending on how you do it, you might still even have access to cool extras like being able to make notes. If only takes a few minutes, and isn’t difficult, but there are a few steps.

Format types for your Kindle device or app

You have a few choices here. Kindles can read a wide variety of file types, including azw, pdf and mobi extensions.

Mali

Eric Paulson was sitting behind Mali as the history teacher droned on about imperialism.  He was talking about the European powers trying to colonize as much of the world as they could during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.  She was following along in her history book, but Eric kept kicking her chair.  A couple of times she had turned and asked him to stop, but he kept at it for the entire class. Read More

Melody

My latest book has just dropped. It is called Grafton, and is a series of novellas revolving around the Grafton family from the Dixon-Prince series. This is part of Melody’s backstory, how she came to be an FBI agent.

She wasn’t normally a big consumer of newspapers, but as she made her way through the market, she dropped a fresh copy of the afternoon paper into her basket.  She made her way to the front of the store with the few items she needed, and quickly paid the cashier.  Luckily, t...
