Six Sentence Sunday: Magic of the Loch #7

It's Six Sentence Sunday! This is the seventh tidbit from my upcoming release (August 2012) with The Wild Rose Press: Magic of the Loch.

Location: Drumnadrochit Scotland, which lies at the head of Urquhart Bay on Loch Ness and is the focal point for interest in the Loch Ness Monster.

In this scene: A sinister shape shifter with a vendetta against Alan has threatened Michaela.

Her (Michaela's) body flew through the air, landing in the water with a splash that sent waves crashing over the pier. She was unconscious, helpless…sinking to the bottom.

“Are ye goin’ to let her drown?” The shifter’s sinister chortle rang like a death toll.

The bastard knew he’d won. Alan would have to let him escape or Michaela would drown.

Alan roared and dove into the water, going after her.

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY: STORM RIDERS #1

Hello Everyone! Happy Sunday!

Today I thought I'd share a snippet from my western/steampunk tale: STORM RIDERS.

Samantha Skelley and Denny Randeli are sent to 1879 Bodie, California, one of the wildest towns of the west. It should have been an easy snatch and rescue, but first they must save Ace McTavis from a hangman's noose. While Denny keeps the deputies and the men in charge jumping as he shoots at them, Samantha goes after Ace, hoping to escape on horseback.

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY

She maneuvered her mount around the scrambling crowd with ease and jumped over obstacles in her way.

"St. Brigid in Heaven, you're an angel." McTavish clung to her, his hands around her waist—warm and large, the heat from him sent a strange feeling to the pit of her stomach.

She shook her head. It was the thrill of the escape, not how McTavish felt against her. She tried to convince herself with no avail.

Six Sentence Sunday Eli: Warriors for the Light #1

Hello Everyone! Happy Sunday!

Today I thought I'd share a snippet from my fallen angels series.

Eli, a Watcher, has broken the rules and has fallen in love with a human. In this scene, he's been captured and is on trial. The elders have decided to give Eli a chance to prove his love is real. They will allow him to return to Ryden before she knew the truth about him. If she is truly his soul mate, then her heart should recognize him without his glamour.

Six Sentence Sunday: Eli: Warriors of the Light (Fallen Angels series, book one)

Bind his glamour? That meant they would bind his wings. Eli’s mouth felt suddenly dry. He’d be defenseless as a human, too, but if he could be with her it would be worth the sacrifice. He straightened his back with resolve. “I’ll do it.”
