Six Sentence Sunday #4
It's Six Sentence Sunday! This is the fourth tidbit from my upcoming release (August 2012) with The Wild Rose Press: Magic of the Loch.
Location: Drumnadrochit Scotland, which lies at the head of Urquhart Bay on Loch Ness and is the focal point for interest in the Loch Ness Monster.
This is Alan's POV now. In this scene, you find out why Alan snapped at Michaela when he saved her from falling into the loch.
Six Sentence Sunday #4
All coherent thoughts had left him the moment his hands touched the woman’s arms. Her scent struck him like an electric current, jolting him.
Then his gaze shifted, focusing on her auburn hair streaked with gold strands, to her eyes the color of moss in the early morning, and finally centering on her wide and lush lips.
Awareness filled his every pore and it took all his self-control to rein it in. His snappy retort had been harsh, but better he hurt her feelings than exploit her mouth for all its worth. If he’d lost control, she’d have willingly jumped into the loch to distance herself from him.

Six Sentence Sunday #3
It's Six Sentence Sunday! This is the third tidbit from my upcoming release (August 2012) with The Wild Rose Press: Magic of the Loch.
Location: Drumnadrochit Scotland, which lies at the head of Urquhart Bay on Loch Ness and is the focal point for interest in the Loch Ness Monster.
Continued from last week: This is Alan and Michaela's encounter on the pier. Alan just saved Michaela from being toppled into the loch by his German Shepherd. Alan isn't pleased to have a visitor and tells her she's trepassing. If she wants to take a tour of the loch, she needs to call ahead.
His (Alan's) blue eyes, like a flickering flame of a gas stovetop sparked with intent to burn.
What an unpleasant man. If she possessed the strength, she’d push him in the loch to cool off his hot temper.
Intent on giving him an off-handed retort, her mouth opened only to clamp shut again at the sound of a deep chuckle behind her. Michaela turned her head and glared at the new arrival with the warped sense of humor.
“I’m sorry, for my brother’s behavior,” the man, who stood an inch or two taller than Hot Head next to her, announced with a meaningful glint in his eyes.

The Truth is Coming…
A TRUE CRIME MEMOIR:
Laurie Bembenek was convicted of murdering her husband's ex-wife, Christine Schultz, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 28, 1981. Her story garnered national attention after she escaped from Taycheedah Correctional Institution with the help of Milwaukee factory worker DOMINIC GUGLIATTO, a brother of another inmate. Gugliatto met Bembenek in prison and had fallen in love with her. The fugitive couple were "on the run seeking love, justice and freedom" as Gugliatto's father would claim. This daring escapade has inspired books and movies. The slogan "Run, Bambi, Run" was created and printed on T-shirts.
This is DOMINIC GUGLIATTO'S story. He reveals the truth and lies surrounding the escape and what happened on the run.

Six Sentence Sunday #2
It's Six Sentence Sunday! This is the second tidbit from my upcoming release (August 2012) with The Wild Rose Press: Magic of the Loch. This scene takes place in Fiddler's Luck, Drumnadrochit Scotland, which lies at the head of Urquhart Bay on Loch Ness and is the focal point for interest in the Loch Ness Monster.
This is Alan and Michaela's first encounter on the pier. Alan just saved Michaela from being toppled into the loch. Enjoy!
SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY #2:
"Thank… uh… Thank you," she stuttered, frustrated by her inability to articulate a clear sentence. Where had he come from? She could have sworn there hadn't been anyone on the dock a moment ago.
"Are ye sure ye're fine?"
She nodded but held on tighter simply because she wasn't ready to let him go.
"Then ye need to watch where ye're goin'," he snapped, his beautiful eyes narrowing and flashing with contempt.
