Set up for the scene: While Michaela is waiting for Hyatt to chat with his brother, she has time to hash over her attraction she has for Alan. Sometimes the heart just wants what it wants. No matter how crazy it seems. lol In this snippet, we find out what Alan and Hyatt are discussing. It's a few paragraphs later with Hyatt speaking first.
***Note: Snippet has been modified to fit the 8 sentence limit.
**********************************************************************************************************
"Doonae change what is meant to be. Arenae these yer words?”
“I gave her comfort for the day. Nothin’ more.”
“All I’m goin’ to do is feed her because if ye hadnae noticed, she’s nothin’ but skin and bones. So for once, will ye feck off?”
Hyatt turned to leave, but Alan’s hand snaked out to stop him. “Doonae hurt her, Hyatt.”
***********************************************************************************************************
Alan is worried about Michaela. He lips say don't get involved, but darn that pesky heart. It has a mind of its own. I think Alan isn't going to let Michaela just walk away. What do you think?

Set up for the scene: Hyatt asks Michaela to join him for lunch, but Alan doesn't seem pleased and asks to speak to Hyatt. Michaela waits at the end of the pier. Alone with her thoughts, she thinks about Alan's attitude, but also about his 'magic hands'.
***Note: Snippet has been modified to fit the 8 sentence limit.
****************************************************************************
Of the two brothers, Alan drew her attention, made her heart beat a little faster when his eyes fastened on her. Wouldn’t it figure she’d fall for the one with an attitude, but he did have a sensitive side to him. He came to her rescue when one of her headaches had begun to take hold.
Those hands had felt warm against her temples as if energy passed through his fingertips to penetrate her skin and alleviate the throbbing inside her head. Afterward, when their gazes met and held, she thought he would kiss her. He had leaned forward, but at the last moment he turned away. The funny thing was she wanted to feel his lips against hers. “What a crazy thought,” she murmured as her gaze landed on Alan arguing with his brother.
***********************************************************************************************************
Hmm... I think the magic hands are winning out. Alan, you need to kiss the girl. lol

“I know a place where ye’ll have a crackin’ fun time with Scottish home cooked meals and array of whiskey to take yer breath away”
“I don’t know about the whiskey, and I should probably—” Her stomach growled, drowning out her protest. Why not go with him. She was here to have fun, not spend time in her cottage. “I wouldn’t mind a warm cooked meal.”
“Splendid.”
“Hyatt, I would like a word with ye, please,” Alan interrupted with a stern frown.
***********************************************************************************************************
Hmm... I wonder what Alan's going to say to his brother? Truly the laddies have a good relationship, but Hyatt's a bit of stinker.

Set up for the scene: Michaela agrees to let Alan and Hyatt give her a tour of the loch so she can search for the legendary Loch Ness Monster. They've arrived in front of Castle Urquhart where most of the sightings of the Loch Ness Monster have been. Michaela says she'd like to take a tour of the Castle and Alan offers to give her a lift there tomorrow. She may or may not accept, but Alan is hopeful.

When she turned away, his gaze caught sight of his brother staring at him in disbelief. Well, he was little surprised at himself, too. Michaela snapped a few pictures of the castle with her pocket size camera. Her interest was genuine. Now if she would look at him with the same passion, he’d know she felt the pull as he did.
Chapter 3 (a few sentences later...)
Hyatt helped Michaela out of the boat, holding her longer than necessary. His lips curved into a wicked smile while his eyes sparkled mischievously. “So Michaela from the States, what do ye have planned for the rest of the day?”
*********************************************************************************************************
I think Michaela may have plans soon. lol
Find out next week with Michaela's POV.

I…” Her words trailed off making him think she was searching for a way to say, no thanks.
He shrugged as if he didn’t care, but his damn heart pounded hard against his ribcage proving him a liar. “Ye can let me know. I’ll be goin’ no matter what.” This gave her a way out if she wanted it, while leaving the invitation open.
“Thank you.” Her sweet smile was for him only and he found his lips curving in response.
