Snippet Sunday: Snoggin’ with no commitments…Magic of the Loch @KMNbooks @WildRosePress #8sunday #snippetsunday #SPeekSunday

Welcome to Snippet Sunday. This is another snippet from Magic of the Loch. Today's snippet is a couple of sentences later from last week.

If you missed last weeks snippet, here's the link: Chapter 5 #14

The Wild Rose Press

Kindle

NOOK

Set up: Alan wonders if Michaela has feelings for his brother, Hyatt. He goes about asking her by giving her insight to the way his brother handles his relationships. However, Michaela wants to know Alan's intentions not Hyatt's. This is in Michaela's POV. Alan is speaking first.

***Note: This takes place a few paragraphs later from last week's snippet, and the snippet has been modified to fit the 8 sentence limit. Yes again there is some fancy punctuations. lol  :)

****************************************************************************

“My brother is fickle and his snoggin’ means no more than a friendly hello.”

“I hate to sound all American here, but what is snogging?” she asked and blinked, forcing herself to concentrate on his words and not how she’d like him to kiss her.

His luscious lips twitched again as he said, “Kissin’, suckin’ face, I believe ye Yanks call it.”

“You’re trying to warn me Hyatt’s a player,” she said and cleared her throat, hoping he didn’t possess the ability to read minds, too.

“He loves the beautiful lassies, but he never commits to one.”

“I’ve known Hyatt’s type before and believe me I didn’t mistake his flirting for anything other than his friendly way of saying hello, but I appreciate the warning.” Sitting back in her seat, her gaze wavered over his strong bold features, beautiful eyes, and man oh man, he had a killer body that the sweater and jeans did nothing to hide.“Do you have a special woman in your life or are you more like your brother than you let on?”

****************************************************************************************

Oh, I think she doesn't care about Hyatt and his commitments or rather lack of them... As for Alan... Is he a player or not? :)

Like always thanks so much for stopping by.  I would love to know what you thought of the snippet.

Snippet Sunday: Alan’s blue-eyed gaze proves a distraction…Magic of the Loch @KMNbooks @WildRosePress #8sunday #snippetsunday #SPeekSunday

Set up: Alan and Michaela are finally alone... But Michaela is having difficulty concentrating. lol

Hyatt had already stationed himself at another table of all women, who buzzed around him like bees to honey. The pub may be filled with people, but in all other sense, Alan and she were alone with no one close enough to hear their conversation.

“Um…shouldn’t you drive your girlfriend home?” she asked and waved her thumb toward Kait, who sauntered out the door.

“Kait and I are only friends. No need to worry, she lives nearby, besides, ” the corners of his mouth twitched, “she’d take my head clean off if I held her hand all the way home.”

Hyatt’s boisterous laugh drew Michaela’s attention and she smiled when he waved and blew her a kiss.

“I should warn ye,” Alan said and leaned forward in his seat, his beautiful blue-eyed gaze proving a distraction and making it difficult to follow his words.

“About what?”

****************************************************************************************

Hmm... What will Alan warn her about? Hmm... :)

Snippet Sunday: Finally, a moment alone…Magic of the Loch @KMNbooks @WildRosePress #8sunday #snippetsunday #SPeekSunday

Welcome to Snippet Sunday. This is another snippet from Magic of the Loch. Today's snippet is a couple of sentences later from last week.

If you missed last weeks snippet, here's the link: Chapter 5 #12

The Wild Rose Press

Kindle

NOOK

Set up: Ethan left for now, but he'll be back later for round 2. Now, Alan needs to take care of Kait. Can he work his magic and convince Kait to go home?

***Note: This takes place a few paragraphs later from last week's snippet, and the snippet has been modified to fit the 8 sentence limit. Super fancy punctuations and also lines were eliminated. lol  :)

****************************************************************************

“I was aboot to order another round,” she said and took a step and teetered on her feet, but Alan took hold of her arm to stop her from falling.

“Kait, ye need to go home.”

She stood facing him, still as a statue as if the sound of his voice soothed her into obedience; and he’d done the same thing with Ethan, his dog, and hell, she supposed he’d done it to her as well.

“I’m gettin' right bladdered, arenae I? Okay, okay, I’ll go, but…” Kait's chuckle gave way to another hiccup as she leaned forward and kissed the side of Alan’s mouth, "doonae forget,” she said and turned away without saying goodbye to anyone else.

God, the woman irked Michaela... hanging all over Alan as if she owned him. Taken back by the sudden surge of jealousy, she shifted in her seat uncomfortable with her reaction to a man she didn’t know.

Alan turned his full attention on her with intent evident in his eyes as he strode over and pulled up a chair.

****************************************************************************************

It looks like Alan and Michaela may have some alone time after all. :)

Snippet Sunday: Hypnotized into compliance…Magic of the Loch @KMNbooks @WildRosePress #8sunday #snippetsunday #SPeekSunday

Welcome to Snippet Sunday. This is another snippet from Magic of the Loch. Today's snippet is a couple of sentences later from last week.

If you missed last weeks snippet, here's the link: Chapter 5 #11

The Wild Rose Press

Kindle

NOOK

Set up: Alan steps forward in hopes of defusing the situation. Will Ethan comply?

***Note: Snippet has been modified to fit the 8 sentence limit. Fancy punctuations to make this one work and few lines eliminated. lol  :)

****************************************************************************

“That’s enough, Ethan MacGregor,” Alan demanded and silence hit the room at once with all eyes riveted to Ethan and the MacLachlin brothers, the air thick with anticipation.

Ethan’s gaze riveted on Alan again, his mouth opening with what looked like a nasty retort, but then his lips smoothed and pressed together into a fine line.

“We’ll talk, but no’ here where others can be hurt,” Alan said, his smooth voice washing over Ethan like a wave.

Michaela glanced around the room, wondering if anyone caught how Alan calmed Ethan, his voice like the low hum of a melody. Could he hypnotize people and animals with his voice? She couldn’t dismiss how earlier today he had demanded his German Shepherd to stop harassing the cat; and on the boat, he had touched her temples and his unusual blue eyes locked with hers as he spoke. Her pain eased and disappeared without her having to take the meds she had stashed in her backpack. It was as if the sound of his voice hypnotized them all into compliance.

****************************************************************************************

Alan has a magical voice. Can you just imagine how it sounds? :)
