3,000 educational services' on-the-ground or brick and mortar stores in 10 years - correlating with online stores emerging from Tensor Flow machine learning software, and into an end-of-the-day stock price for the WUaS Corporation in most of all ~200 countries, as well as WUaS employees being able to do their taxes with TurboTax in many of same countries' languages .. and with brainstorming-wise the "Mine Pi" cryptocurrency ... ?

Hoping to outline an undergraduate CS degree based on MIT OCW ... thinking in terms of Chunyu Ou ... (who visited Canyon last night) ... and originally is from China (2012) ...

What the person (Sean Zirkel?) who read me the letter, at Stanford Medicine CDH after the FDS'a Dr. Amy Abernethy's talk, said was that they'd/Stanford would let me know when I could come back ... (sounds like it could be John Hennessy's language) ... am curious about the legality of Stanford in a number of regards here.

And I think whistle-blowing re conscientious objection (Quaker informed too) is a kind of speaking truth to power (in 4-6 ways in recent years), - and here potentially allows a Stanford, for ex., to improve ... re the communication transparency ...

I’m continuing in an out-of-the-box way to develop CC-4 MIT OpenCourseWare-centric wiki World University and School, which is a bit like Semester at Sea in very broad envisioning, and seeks to create online MIT OCW-centric universities in all ~200 countries' official and main languages, as well as wiki schools for open teaching and learning in all 7,111 known living languages. The online Bachelor, Ph.D. Law, M.D. and I.B. high school degrees will be free to students (with reimbursement planned from countries' and governments’ Departments of Education in all ~200 nation states, for example). In a related ‘realistic virtual earth’ vein, am also continuing to develop my actual-virtual Harbin Hot Springs' ethnographic project, and in conjunction with this, for WUaS to facilitate developing a realistic virtual earth for everything - think Google Street View with time slider / Maps / Earth at the cellular and atomic levels too / TensorFlow / Translate and with avatar bots of individuals and species and which is group-buildable a bit like Second Life, but with realistic avatar bots, not cartoon-esque ones. Nice to talk with you yesterday evening at Ants' birthday party.

Could you please share these articles with Masha, Chunyu? We were talking about these disastrous nuclear accidents - LEVEL 5-Three Mile Island (1979), LEVEL 7-Chernobyl (1986), LEVEL 7-Fukushima (2011) - yesterday evening, and I mis-named Fukushima. After this fairly recent triple core nuclear meltdown in 2011, I talked on the phone with a friend Eckhard Krueger, a physicist and Quaker in the Munich Germany area, with whose family I lived for 2.5 months in 1982, after studying at the University of Munich in 1981-1982 for 10.5 months), and who, with a group of concerned scientists in Germany, after the Chernobyl disastrous nuclear accident occurred in 1986 (Level 7), together bought a very expensive piece of equipment to measure the nuclear fallout from Chernobyl, Russia, in Bavaria, Germany, and published a scientific paper about this hazardous material, and as a consequence was blacklisted from his job at the Max Planck Institute in Garching, Germany, and had to begin his own energy consulting firm. This scientific action to measure and publish was based on conscientious objection in many ways.

- my father, Gordon K MacLeod MD, who was the Secretary of Health for the state of Pennsylvania at the time and installed only 12 days before the accident occurred in March of 1979 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_K._MacLeod - significantly and publicly criticized the Thornburgh administration (Governor of Pennsylvania at the time) for lack of iodine and physicians on the PA nuclear engineering planning committee (similar to way the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission had physicians): "He criticized Pennsylvania's preparedness, in the event of a nuclear accident, at the time for not having potassium iodide in stock, which protects the thyroid gland in the event of radiation exposure, as well as for not having any physicians on Pennsylvania's equivalent of the nuclear regulatory commission."

And he resigned soon after the accident and returned to his professor-ship position at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a professor of Public Health.

Never thought about it this way, but re "tying the knot," perhaps the bowline knot is a good example, and re how David and I used to teach this even in the CYC even: "the rabbit goes up the hole, around the tree, and back down the hole again" ... but didn't think about it in new ways until just now. It's a fascinating video too for ideas for me for World Univ & Sch and also mentions Reed College. A lot of Steve Jobs' thinking emerges from the 1960s (and he looks like a hippy in a couple of the items above) ... and Jobs closes this speech by mentioning The Whole Earth Catalog, which I had just emailed you about yesterday (and posted here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2019/10/pinus-longaeva-bristlecone-pine-world.html) in my blog post from yesterday (including my mentioning of whistle-blowing at Stanford).  There's something questionable in my mind about how Jobs died, and it's interesting to see no one sitting next to John Hennessy on the Stanford graduation podium in the beginning of this speech possibly in these regards as well. Am glad I'm over here in Canyon in some ways re all this Silicon Valley history; am curious if he might even have been a kind of casualty of SV struggles within the 3 monotheistic backgrounds, since Jobs' father was Syrian. Would indeed be sad, tragic even ... and yet further open inter-cultural communications even between these 3 traditions, 15 years after Jobs' death, and 50 years or so after the 1960s.

Here's a video by the author Isabella Tree about this - https://youtu.be/4cug0KcTnXI - and in the first minute or so, she observes how her family inherited their house - which looks like a castle - and farm, from her husband Charlie Burrell's grandparents. Sussex, England. Wilding is kind of a hippy idea too, but in the context of England in 2019, it involves old ideas of British-ness ... about which it's worth thinking. I hear echoes of Angela Farmer in this Isabella's thinking and video as well. And I'm curious too how this idea is possibly / would possibly play out in Lake County and around Harbin.

It's a 'back to the land' vision in SW England, that your brother Ted Brown also engaged ... and which comes out of the 1960s in remarkable new directions and with much deep thinking too, as I see this. (This will be an Xmas present for you - and not a surprise :) - so please don't go out and get it from the library or bookstore:) Looks like an inspiring read.

I see much, much relevance in this "Do Human Rights Actually Exist?" (Human rights are/have been a key issue for Quakers for centuries) for the SF Quaker Meeting, I'd suggest as well. 

And I recently came across this in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, main newspaper ... with possibly interesting relevance for atheists in the text:
"After court ruling, state House to resume faith-based prayer

HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania House of Representatives will resume opening its sessions with faith-based prayers, more than a month after a federal appeals court said the practice comports with the U.S. Constitution.

Republican Speaker Mike Turzai of Allegheny County announced those plans on Thursday, after a federal district court judge ended an injunction.

The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-to-1 in August that a prohibition against atheists and other nonbelievers giving the opening invocation didn’t violate the Constitution’s Establishment Clause.

Mr. Turzai’s office says he hasn’t selected the person who will give the next invocation, when the House returns Oct. 21.

Why is the Pennsylvania House of Representatives resuming opening its sessions with faith-based prayers - especially given the US Separation of Church and State? I've shared this article in Friends' Journal from 2008 by long-time Pittsburgh resident George L. Alexander MD before - https://www.friendsjournal.org/separation-church-and-state/ - but I appreciate George's reasoning focus on the following: 

What is the historical background of the First Amendment, which established the separation—what was it meant to achieve, and why? How can we understand the current struggle over the “wall of separation”? Is there a way to ameliorate this conflict? And how do Friends relate to the separation?

It seems both Alex O'Connor and George Alexander take far-reaching reasoning approaches to new developments in religion and legal questions in very edifying ways. And it seems like 'outgrowing God' and especially developing new language like 'nontheist f/Friends' offer potential F/friendly openings for the future idea-wise. I'm wondering in what ways genetic engineering could 'restructure' my eustachian tube dysfunction (if this is an accurate diagnosis) eventually, and along the lines of learning from the above Vacanti mouse genetic engineering-wise. I have in mind also George Church's "Swiss army knife" metaphor for genetic engineering and on the scales of the Vacanti mouse, as well as my eustachian tube dysfunction -
