"Scott MacLeod Honey in the Bag Scottish Small Pipes Bagpiping" Bandcamp site

for upcoming "Honey in the Bag" Scottish Small Pipes' album experimentally

Ma,

Appreciating Lauren MacColl's Bandcamp Scottish fiddling site: https://laurenmaccoll.bandcamp.com
Here's my new one - "Scott MacLeod Honey in the Bag Scottish Small Pipes Bagpiping" Bandcamp site : https://scottmacleodhoneyinthebagscottishsmallpipesbagpiping.bandcamp.com/ - in a beginning stage.
And here's my new bio there (developing) - "ScottMacLeod.com/piping.htm ~ Scott MacLeod is considered one of Scottish Small Piping's most innovative teachers. His upcoming 'Honey in the Bag' album seeks to expressively evoke this harmonious instrument's sweetness. His performances are emotive, engaging & informed by an equal helping of tradition & technique. He started piping at the age of 12 having played piano for 6 years before this."
The Bandcamp platform is good for merchandising for example my upcoming "Honey in the Bag" compact disc (CD), per a number of articles (compared with Reverbnation and SoundCloud) - and for reaching out to audiences.
At a Koh and Ants' Burns' Night Supper, I met Peter Schmitz (peterwabbit ... whom I liked), who had just created an album himself, and he recommended a recording studio in close by Montclair for $40 / hour, with a very nice producer, Peter Tumulo or sim., which sounds good as a starting point for professional recording.
Just found the picture I'll probably use on the front toward the bottom here -

http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/02/western-honey-bee-re-my-upcoming-honey.html - and I might use this "Piping at a Birthday Party in the S.F. Bay Area" photo pat way down - http://www.scottmacleod.com/piping.htm (this web site needs an update!) - on the back and although it's not Scottish small pipes, I like the yellow.

Now to get the 'honey' into each of the piping tracks and recordings :)
I think I'd like to combine a release of a 1) Digital Album, 2) Compact Disk Album, with 3) Youtube recordings ... for the fun of it. :) I think that covers the waterfront for next steps ahead toward album creation, beyond daily piping; except I would probably benefit further from developing an audience (and maybe first in Zoom!) :)
How's your music-making going? And how's your weekend going? Will probably start piping momentarily - and early - and I played the piano first thing this morning newly - lovely Scottish Country Dancing tunes:)
Love, Scott

When the pandemic hit and everyone was sent home, people began joking about a baby boom. But half a year into this thing, with no end in sight, no one is in a jokey mood, and a significant percentage of would-be parents are deciding they don’t want to bring a new soul into this mess.

No pajama pants allowed while learning from home, Illinois district says
Springfield Public Schools announced that students must adhere to a dress code while participating in classes over Zoom.
BY WILL WRIGHT
Students in the capital of Illinois are not allowed to wear hats, bandannas, sunglasses, pajama pants or slippers in school buildings. And that dress code now extends to their kitchens. “We don’t need students in pajamas and all those other things while on their Zoom conferences,” Jason Wind, the school district’s director of student support, explained during an online board meeting of Springfield Public Schools this past week.

Clashes erupt in Beirut at blast protest as Lebanon’s anger boils over
BEIRUT, LEBANON - AUGUST 08: Black smoke and tear gas darkens the evening sky during a protest at Martyrs Square on August 8, 2020 in Beirut, Lebanon. The Lebanese capital is reeling from this week's massive explosion that killed at least 150 people, wounded thousands, and destroyed wide swaths of the city. Residents are demanding accountability for the blast, whose suspected cause was 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate stored for years at the city's port. (Photo by Daniel Carde/Getty Images)

GREG MANKIW'S BLOGRandom Observations for Students of EconomicsSUNDAY, JUNE 07, 2020What I've been watchingOver the past week, I have watched the six-part HBO miniseries  The Plot Against America , which came out in March. It is based on the 2004 Philip Roth novel of the same title and tells an alternative history in which FDR is defeated in 1940 by the fascist-sympathizing Charles Lindbergh through the eyes of a Jewish family living in Newark, NJ. Compelling story, well acted. It is the best piece of television I have seen in years.

Am heading out for a day long venture probably to the Palomarin trail in the Pt. Reyes National Seashore. There's an event here at 670A. Good to be heading out, per request too.
Nice to talk last night! Did you sleep well?
Sending love, Scott

Scott MacLeod <sgkmacleod@gmail.com>8:47 AM (12 hours ago)to JaneThat would be fun, Ma! Greetings from Stinson Beach where we once had lunch. The road is beautiful, and foggy with some mist on windshield  Basketball players were throwing a ball around without masks in the park in the center of town. Too bad I can't share this adventure with you in virtual world yet, so pictures will have to suffice! Thanks for your email! Love, Scott (pics to come!:)

Think I saw a group heading for a backpacking overnight some with bicycles too ... 2 had straps attached to same cart with backpacks that they were hauling for the group .... Scott MacLeod <sgkmacleod@worlduniversityandschool.org>6:14 PM (3 hours ago)to JaneJust got back to Canyon, and that was the only picture I took of the orange flowers. (I couldn't identify the flower on the spot). I suppose I could zoom in to this photo and try to identify them now using the web somehow, but I probably won't. Wanna try, - since you have the photo too ? :) Am interested in keying flowers with smart phones in general - all of them, since angiosperms, flowering plants, are keyable - and for that a realistic virtual earth https://twitter.com/hashtag/RealisticVirtualEarth?src=hashtag_click with comparable images could be helpful. After Five Brooks Trailhead and hike, I headed into Pt. Reyes National Seashore, and caught a glimpse of the Pacific through some thick fog - maybe the Pacific was up in the air :) ... Glad you're having a good weekend as well. Love, Scott
The idea for a hiker streaming their hike into Google Street View with Google Glass including flower pictures and videos would be like streaming video from a video camera on one's glasses into virtual Harbin ~ http://tinyurl.com/p62rpcg ~ https://twitter.com/HarbinBook ~ http://bit.ly/HarbinBook ~
And here you can walk 4 miles in Street View to Middletown ... imagine streaming your walk with your Google Glass, and with photos of flowers too along the wayhttps://www.google.com/maps/place/Harbin+Hot+Springs/@38.7859518,-122.6518177,3a,75y,13.32h,90t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1skXZe6uuplnYW7LbqZZcawQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!4m8!3m7!1s0x0:0xde57c3ab0ecaa2c9!5m2!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d38.7860806!4d-122.6518315

Foreign Policy Engagement with African Artificial Intelligence & Response ...

Scott MacLeod <scott@scottmacleod.com>Thu, Aug 6, 5:19 PM (19 hours ago)
to Kate, plorenz, meDear Kate, and Phillippe,

Thank you for this publication, and your email.

As a Castellian (i.e. Manuel Castells), who some would say theorized the
information technology age (comparable with Weber and Marx), I
contextualize questions about artificial intelligence in the history and
innovations of the internet and computing. Have you read Castells? In
his "The Information Age: Economy, Society and Culture" trilogy,
beginning with "The Rise of the Network Society" (1996), he also focuses
much on questions of feminism (which I note is an interest of yours,
Kate). In your broader thinking, how too do you address the advantages
of hacking AI (as in Pekka Himanens' book "The Hacker Ethic and the
Spirit of the Information Age," - with reference to Max Weber - but
regarding all of the hacking that gave rise to the internet and the
Information Age so incredibly?) Here's a related course I teach in this
field -
http://worlduniversityandschool.org/InfoTechNetworkSocGlobalUniv.html. I
hope to teach this course again this autumn, and perhaps I will give
further explicit thought to AI adn ethics questions toward its close.

For your interest, here's a talk (relating to this course) I did about
The Information Technology Revolution - History and Geography - Scott
MacLeod

https://youtu.be/FJIy6LpZLeI
and this whole series of talks (Castells-informed) addresses ethical
questions -
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLof6LHEpLfwrYnYlQfwU119jDpOwfnZuN
- in a different way than you are, but still might be informative or
helpful.

MIT on Twitter too is developing a significant focus on AI and
anti-racism for example, eg -
https://twitter.com/techreview/status/1291364040510509057?s=20 .

The history of the internet has been remarkably 'un-policied' I would
also argue, but perhaps your publication is marking a new development in
the history and growth of the Internet - and from a German perspective.

FYI, as the founder and president of CC-4 MIT OCW-centric wiki World
University and School, planning major online universities in all ~200
countries - and especially Africa - and in these ~55 countries' official
languages, if possible WUaS's AI will emerge via a Google platform, with
TensorFlow AI, and potentially with courses on the Open edX platform,
with AI. An academic press - with AI machine translation - is also part
of WUaS's plans.

Would you and some of your Stiftung Neue Verantwortung (SNV)
think tank colleagues - https://www.stiftung-nv.de/en/team - enjoy
helping to build out World Univ & Sch in Germany in German, and in
Africa perchance, and with AI too, - and regarding ethical AI and human
rights, and in so many other ways? Please wiki-add your publication to
the Human Rights' wiki subject at WUaS -
https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Human_Rights (
https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Subjects ) if inclined.

Freundliche Grüsse (Ich habe ein Jahr lang in München in 1981-1982
studiert (durch ein Reed College / LMU programme), und kann ein bisschen
Deutsch).

And please let me know who we might come further into conversation in
these regards, if helpful.

Kind regards, Scott

Asked in a Stanford talk - https://www.hoover.org/events/liberty-and-federalism -
The Human Prosperity Project Speaker Series: Liberty and Federalism

Searched on “democratic socialism and pew internet research,” found “In Their Own Words: Behind Americans’ Views of ‘Socialism’ and ‘Capitalism’
Socialism’s critics say it weakens work ethic; those with positive views say it fosters equality” - https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2019/10/07/in-their-own-words-behind-americans-views-of-socialism-and-capitalism/ - With regards to this Pew data, how  does federalism (the constitution) strengthen the work ethic (the economy), and foster equality (legally)? Thank you! Scott (sgkmacleod@worlduniversityandschool.org)

Hi Scott - Thank you for the feedback (and the connect request)!  I think EMR/EHR is the ultimate control point.  Today most (85+%) of Healthcare providers use two EHR providers - Cerner & EPIC.  They have a massive nerve center and are working on how best to ensure maximum value derivation for the entire food chain.  That said, the newer providers and the notion of a AI driven EMR/EHR is a fascinating disruption to watch - I do think it is a longer term plan relative to some of the others as providers are going to be very very slow to adopt......Sunil

Further thoughts? Thanks, Sunil, And where might Google / Stanford / Duke University's Project Baseline (with Project ECHO) fit into this ecosystem (re EPIC et al.), I wonder - and potentially in all ~200 countries' official languages, and even for tele-robotic surgery eg http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2019/11/kangaroo-apple-building-from-alcoholism.html ? Organizations like Kaiser Permanente which use EPIC also seem to be outside the Corporation / University entities. Where do these fit into you thinking re value creation? Thank you! Thanks so much for your excellent ISSIP hosting, Yassi! I'm hoping, Jim, that CC-4 MIT OCW-centric wiki World University and School will matriculate our 2nd undergraduate class online around September 1, 2020 for free-to-students' Bachelor degrees, as we license with CA's BPPE and 'accredit' concurrently with WASC senior. This would occur on the emerging WUaS Open edX platform, via MOOCit France, a service partner with Open edX. Am in communication with CEO Anant Agarwar (and MIT Prof of EECS) about all of this as well. More about WUaS planning here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/global%20university.

Sunil Kripalani <sunil@kripalani.com>6:27 AM (16 hours ago)to me, Jim, YassiHI Scott - To respond to your question below…….
It is exciting to see new developments in the EMR/EHR, robotic surgery, etc. however the challenge for most will be adoption by the US healthcare system which (mostly for the right reasons) is very risk averse.  On the EMR/EHR front, EPIC/Cerner are deeply embedded into their provider network and the cost/risk of change is massive - not unlike large Enterprise ERP software.
As for other “delivery innovations” - robotic surgery, IoT tracking, etc.. the challenge is reimbursements by the insurance companies - and Medicare.    Candidly, this is a financial hairball with competing motivations for various entities in the chain - but is ripe for change.  As an example, immediately after CMS approved Telemedicine reimbursements as a response to COVID, the market exploded - and as I mentioned yesterday, the proverbial “genie” is out of the bottle and will never go back.
We are also seeing some early examples of disruptive innovation in the business models (ro.cogoodrx.com, etc) however we have a ways to go unfortunately.  Plethy - the company I mentioned yesterday is also starting to make some inroads.  The good news is that the annual US healthcare spend is ~$4.5T so any little movement is real impact.  Exciting times for sure……

Thomas Hardy's "Far from the Madding Crowd" (1874)

Scott MacLeod <sgkmacleod@gmail.com>Tue, Aug 4, 2:44 PM (2 days ago)to Janie, DavidHi Ma, David,
No mention of the role of the 'city' or urbanization in the title "Far from the Madding Crowd" - but I wonder, - and even possibly regarding London, given the 'idyllic' setting of the novel in rural SW England in the 1870s (per Wikipedia's first sentences - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far_from_the_Madding_Crowd). What do you think? Do you recall any references to "the city" in other of Hardy's works, by any chance? :)  What is the role of the 'madding' crowds' relationship to the city? (Britain with industrialization 'does' - or creates - the 'city' like no other country in the world, because their 1st industrial revolution begins in the 1700s, whereas the 2nd industrial revolution begins in the late 1800s! ... some of which I teach about in "Society and Information Technology" even:)

Am a fan of Henry Fielding (eg his "Tom Jones"), but may check out again Hardy!
Love, Scott- https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/Cityhttps://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/society%20and%20information%20technology

From - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far_from_the_Madding_Crowd -  Title[edit]Hardy took the title from Thomas Gray's poem "Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard" (1751):
Far from the madding crowd's ignoble strife
Their sober wishes never learn'd to stray;
Along the cool sequester'd vale of life
They kept the noiseless tenor of their way.
"Madding" here means "frenzied".[5], or, actually, "maddening".Lucasta Miller points out that the title is an ironic literary joke, as Gray is idealising noiseless and sequestered calm, whereas Hardy "disrupts the idyll, and not just by introducing the sound and fury of an extreme plot ... he is out to subvert his readers' complacency".[6]

Scott MacLeod <sgkmacleod@gmail.com>1:12 PM (9 hours ago)to Janie, DavidHi Janie and David,
Read the first chapter - http://www.gutenberg.org/files/107/107-h/107-h.htm - and enjoyed the glimpse into life in the 1870s in SW English. Searched on 'London' and found 3 references, searched on the word 'city' and found 4 hits - thanks to digital technologies ... and my inquiries in the role of urbanization and the city, in the British novel, may be dissolving here (what would be the best British novel of Victorian times to explore the 'city' the way I'm interested in, somehow sociologically ... "Tale of Two Cities"? will keep looking) ... Am seeking what's remarkable about the book, that is, what is particularly mind-expanding, or excellent ...
Found a full length movie of it from 1967 (which Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far_from_the_Madding_Crowd - said was of note) - Far From The Madding Crowd 1967 | HD | Thomas Hardy's Classic Novelhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKxRP06-8rE&list=PLw0LAGqWYbo_h30eAYyqFFMVDCFyzGNZs
Interesting 1870s' take on the role of law here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far_from_the_Madding_Crowd - in a 'plos synopsis' toward the end of the book. And the story ends with a marriage - far from the Madding Crowd, but with some madness 'in the midst'!
"Far from the Madding Crowd" book group, become a film group, via email now closed? :) Have either of you read this or other of Thomas Hardy's books? What makes Victorian novels 'rock' for you? :)
Do either of you know https://www.gutenberg.org/files/6593/6593-h/6593-h.htm ?THE HISTORY OF TOM JONES, A FOUNDLING

If Henry Fielding sets the 'program' in motion (the English novel), what does this entail, I wonder? Minutes for Sat July 18, 2020World University and School Monthly Business Meeting

1Via Open edX service partner MOOC-it France, World Univ & Sch has started its very first course - "WUAS 002 Circuits and Electronics Introduction" - on the emergent WUaS Open edX platform -
WUAS 002 Circuits and Electronics Introduction
https://app.moocit.fr/courses/course-v1:WUAS+002+1/course/

- which you probably can't access above, but you can see further beginnings here:  https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/08/lotus-corniculatus-glad-to-announce-new.html (and about WUaS's 6 majors). "WUAS 002 Circuits and Electronics Introduction" is emerging also from https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-002-circuits-and-electronics-spring-2007/ .

2World Univ & Sch seeks to matriculate 50 undergraduate students beginning 9/1/20 via the emergent WUaS Open edX platform & is like Wikipedia in ~300 languages, with the best STEM CC-4 OpenCourseWare (OCW) in current 4 languages - http://worlduniversityandschool.org ~ with these 6 majors - 1) EECS, 2) General Science, 3) General Engineering, 4) English, 5) History, 6) Business - for free-to-students' best STEM CC-4 OpenCourseWare-centric Bachelor degrees.

More about the developing emergent WUaS Open edX platform via MOOCit France here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/08/southern-right-whale-wuas-news-1-1st.html ...
Like with Open edX courses, WUaS students would initially simply sign up for their courses on something like the WUaS Open edX platform, in part. (You at WUaS - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/You_at_World_University - will eventually be part of this WUaS sign-in process). Students will potentially matriculate online from all ~200 countries in the world, first in English.

3World University and School in French (in the 29 out of 206 countries where French is an official language), and in Brazil in Portughese for example, will follow with time. For example, at France World Univ & Schhttps://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/France (planned in French)
at Brazil World Univ & Schhttps://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Brazil (planned in Portuguese)

4In addition to creating a realistic virtual earth for drawing (per the WUaS Agenda & News), WUaS is seeking to create a single realistic virtual earth for everything, including a realistic virtual earth for languages - https://twitter.com/hashtag/RealisticVirtualEarthForLanguages?src=hashtag_click - in something like Google Street View with TIME SLIDER, Maps, Earth, Tensor Flow, Second Life for group buildable avatars and places, and Samsung Neons for realistic 'artificial humans.' Was glad to see newly Maps in Glottolog - https://glottolog.org/glottolog?iso=cmn#12/40.0209/116.2280 (with its  8,515 entries in languages - https://glottolog.org/glottolog/language).
Another related big focus of World Univ & Sch is a GREAT Universal Translator for all 7,117 known living languages -
https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/WUaS_Universal_Translator -
and even a translator for all 8,515 entries in languages per Glottolog.

5In developing WUaS Open edX, WUaS seeks at this stage to plan for all 7.5 billion people on planet earth as wiki-Universitians for open teaching and learning among speakers of all 7117 living language - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/You_at_World_University - as well as for matriculating WUaS students in 200 countries, and even for UBI experiments to distribute a single cryptocurrency backed by most of ~200 countries' central banks, and significantly to alleviate poverty. Here wiki-universitians would be able to wiki-create courses too in the emerging WUaS Open edX, and again in all 7,117 living languages. (WUaS seeks, also, to collaborate with sister wiki project, WikiTree, which is planning a single Family Tree presumably for all 7.5 billion people in these regards).

6Sri Lanka World University and School is helping to focus developing WUaS on Google Sites in 4 languages, Sinhala, Hindi, German and Quechua. M. Rifai at Sri Lanka World University and School is WUaS's first chancellor of about 200 chancellors in all ~200 countries' WUaS universities in those countries' official languages, and in order to communicate effectively with the Sri Lanka Minister of Education, and the Minister of Finance there, for example.

7World University and School Youtube Livestreams and recordings have recently begun again on - https://www.youtube.com/user/WorldUnivandSch - which is the main WUaS Youtube channel.

Dear Anant and Larry,
Greetings. I'm glad to announce a new 'WUAS 002 Circuits and Electronics Introduction' beginning WUaS course - https://app.moocit.fr/courses/course-v1:WUAS+002+1/course/ - via MOOCit France in the MOOCit startup kit on the emerging WUaS Open edX platform. World Univ & Sch seeks to create a 7-8 week's long introductory version of this with matriculating EECS students at WUaS who might also be studying with Micro:Bit, for example, in a makey-makey manner, from home. Would it be possible please to connect with a graduate student of yours who might be interested in developing this course further (including cutting your MIT OCW class in half somehow even - and with 30mins - 1 hour studying outside of the class itself)? WUaS seeks to not use complex numbers in this course, for example, and for this course to be an introduction to the WUaS EECS free-to-students' best STEM CC-4 OCW Bachelor's degree 4 year online program. I've explored these ideas further in today's WUaS News, Q&A LIvestream 8/3/20 here - https://youtu.be/k3wlb4TlXtc - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/08/southern-right-whale-wuas-news-1-1st.html

How might we best communicate about this further please? If possible, as you may see in the video, WUaS would like to seek, find and connect with 6 MIT? graduate students for each of the WUaS 6 majors - worlduniversityandschool.org - to create from CC-4 MIT OCW courses 6 introductory WUaS undergraduate courses, each 7-8 weeks long, on our upcoming WUaS Open edX platform with students beginning even on August 31. 2020. I've been in touch recently with MIT Prof. Wyn Kelley, who's taught an Introduction to Fiction course at MIT OCW which WUaS has suggested developing for our first year students, and who is dynamic. I would reach out to her further about finding an English literature MIT graduate student to do this, for example. What might you suggest please about further developing 'WUAS 002 Circuits and Electronics Introduction' please?
Thank you for your great MIT OCW Circuits and Electronics' course, Anant! And thank you!

Sincerely, Scott- https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/08/southern-right-whale-wuas-news-1-1st.html -

Thank you!

to AnantLarryHannaNicolasWynnedDear Anant, Wyn & Larry,
How are you all this morning?
A prospective WUaS English BA Student from India emailed this morning -"Hi Scott,
I hope I can enroll in B A English next month."
Having been in touch with MIT Professors Anant Agarwal (EECS) and Wyn Kelley (English) yesterday and today, I'm wondering if you can please help focus this in the next 3 weeks, perhaps drawing on other edX & Open edX course (and especially CC-4 MIT OCW) materials newly regarding the emergent WUaS Open edX.
As you may know, WUaS seeks to begin licensing with CA's BPPE, and concurrently accrediting then probably with WASC senior for highest quality online BAs (and then online PhDs in English - and later licensing online Law, MD & IB high school degrees with other organizations, and in all 200 countries' official / main languages!) How best please to proceed and communicate about this? Thank you!
Sincerely, Scott

What a kind invitation, Scott! I don’t know when we’ll make it back to New Bedford, but that’s a great idea. W

Thank you, Wyn!

I don't know when I'll make it next to Cuttyhunk (summer 2021?), but I am seeking to create a single realistic virtual earth for everything, including a realistic virtual earth for museums - https://twitter.com/hashtag/RealisticVirtualEarthForMuseums?src=hashtag_click - in something like Google Street View with TIME SLIDER, Maps, Earth, Tensor Flow, Second Life for group buildable avatars and places, and Samsung Neons for realistic 'artificial humans' ... so maybe we can visit together over coffee a virtual New Bedford Whaling Museum, and then a virtual Cuttyhunk Island.

Scottvisit the Harbin Hot Springs' Gate in Google Street View here - http://tinyurl.com/p62rpcg (accessible from https://twitter.com/HarbinBook and http://bit.ly/HarbinBook) and "walk" down the "road" 4 "miles" to "amble" around Middletown, CA. Have you ever visited Harbin, Wyn, when studying at Stanford, for ex.? It's my actual-virtual ethnographic field site, about which my next book - potentially printed from 'text in the sidebar" in Google Street View - will be about, where a realistic virtual Harbin is central. (Am seeking to invent publishing anew with printing from text in the sidebar, and at the Academic Press at World Univ & Sch - http://worlduniversityandschool.org/AcademicPress.html - planned in all 7,117 known living languages, with developing machine translation).
PSBrainstorming-wise, and in terms of a new approach to digital ethnographic method with resources, visit the Harbin Hot Springs' Gate in Google Street View here - http://tinyurl.com/p62rpcg (accessible from https://twitter.com/HarbinBook and http://bit.ly/HarbinBook) and add resources to Google Street View. For example, I added a photo you'll see here of the Harbin Gate House some years ago. But you could eventually add text in the sidebar, in addition to video (currently, i.e. see this video of a dog in water from Bishopton, Scotland in Street View - https://www.google.com/maps/place/Bishopton,+UK/@55.9156351,-4.465421,270549a,13.1y/data=!3m8!1e5!3m6!1sAF1QipNuIofV2HpE4NxJngvsDt1jPI7La2jAJ8XO3Lue!2e10!3e10!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipNuIofV2HpE4NxJngvsDt1jPI7La2jAJ8XO3Lue%3Dw203-h114-k-no!7i1280!8i720!4m5!3m4!1s0x48884c3491aa6ae5:0xde47d15905862ab9!8m2!3d55.908622!4d-4.50452 which you'll also find here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/08/erythronium-taylorii-this-yoga-concert.html). Harbin Hot Springs is my actual< >virtual, physical< >digital ethnographic field site, about which this book is about - http://www.scottmacleod.com/ActualVirtualHarbinBook.html - too. One could practice ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy anywhere in the world, and potentially in Google Street View too. Realistic avatars will develop, re Neons, or artificial humans, as one example of many. And I hope we'll all, as anthropologists, writers, social scientists, and scientists, be able to visit virtual Harbin Hot Springs itself, as it grows, soak in the pools there from home, and practice participant observation by 'wiki'-adding to a single realistic 'virtual world' / earth and as anthropological interpretation of 'peoples' ('ethno'), as avatar bots too, (which is one view of ethnographic practice per Cerwonka and Malkki), via writing ('graphy'). I'm calling this new anthropological method 'ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy,' but haven't yet written an academic paper about this. Am thinking again, conceptually, in terms of Google Street View with TIME SLIDER / Maps / Earth / TensorFlow / Translate with avatar bots, of humans and other species, and which, like Second Life, is group buildable and has avatars which communicate, but am heading toward realism re Samsung Neons or artificial humans (and for the practice of medicine at WUaS too).
Here's the 'ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy' reference I've added to the resources' lists you shared (but am not quite sure how to cite this):

I heard back from MIT Prof. Wyn Kelley this morning. She's going to have to bow out of developing the WUaS English major, per her MIT OCW course "Intro to Fiction" with its first course beginning around September 1, 2020 - and per Shahbaz Sanjer's recent inquiry this morning too from India about matriculating this month online from home in a free-to-students' BA English degree 4-year program at WUaS. Since I'm not an expert in English literature, like Wyn, I am hoping WUaS can get the first course or two up and running toward Shahbaz's English BA in emergent WUaS Open edX soon-ish. Thoughts, questions, suggestions? Thank you!
Sincerely, ScottPSI've blogged about this and our correspondence today here - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/08/lotus-corniculatus-glad-to-announce-new.html . Thank you and regards.

to Larry, NedThanks, Ned,
(Ned Batchelder at edX),
It's part of CC-4 MIT OCW-centric World University and School's plan to develop MIT OCW-centric courses in these 6 majors - EECS, English, General Science, History, General Engineering, Business (worlduniversityandschool.org) - for free-to-students' degrees beginning around September 1, 2020. And WUaS began in the emergent WUaS Open edX, with our MOOCit France service partner, with Anant's "Circuits and Electronics' " MIT OCW course, since one of our WUaS 6 majors is EECS, first for undergraduates. I've been communicating with Anant for some months now about this developing WUaS online Bachelor's degree, and when Shahbaz Sanjer emailed me again from India this morning (after many emails from him expressing interest in beginning an online free-to-students' Bachelor's degree in English from India - ie in January or so he wanted to begin immediately )- I reached out again to Anant about Sanjer's request. Having written that, and having recently communicated with another MIT Prof. Wyn Kelley about WUaS's planned online degree programs (since she designed the MIT OCW "Intro to Fiction" course - https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/literature/21l-003-introduction-to-fiction-fall-2003/), and for the WUaS English program, she bowed out. So I'm reaching out again to Anant (and you), in these regards, to see in what ways WUaS can get about 6 undergraduate courses going for around September 1, 2020 - each 7-8 weeks' long with 30-60 minutes of studying outside of online class per week - in our WUaS majors. And I, or anyone in WUaS circles, don't have the expertise in Circuits or Electronics to develop the course properly, and with grading in the Open edX platform, albeit Larry (MIT '69) does have the expertise, with a text book too, to develop an online WUaS chemistry course, and may explore doing so for an online WUaS Open edX course, beginning in January 2021. Could MIT graduate students of Anant and Wyn possibly help even - and as they seek to become university professors? Thank you!
Sincerely, ScottBlog post - https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2020/08/lotus-corniculatus-glad-to-announce-new.html . Thank you and regards. - Scott

I fear Republican sabotage of the USPS, including slowing mail delivery, is a Trump strategy to make voting by mail more difficult this fall. Request your ballots and return them as early as you can. https://t.co/LZONq8EPKE— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) August 4, 2020
