GOP Committee Targets State Legislatures for Midterm Wins
The Republican State Leadership Committee has released a target list of state legislative chambers where Republicans hope to maintain control in some locations while flipping Democrat-held statehouses in others.
The list, shared with Politico, gives its first focus on defending GOP majorities in battleground states, including in Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, where Republicans hold the lead by a combined margin of 24 seats.
“Voters are looking for a counterbalance,” Dee Duncan, the president of the Republican State Leadership Committee, said in an interview. “I think that’s what Republicans on the ballot are going to be this fall. I think there’s going to be places that we’re able to play in that we haven’t in the past, and I think we’ll be able to defend our places that we won.”
The party, meanwhile, is also hoping to build on its wins in 2021 in Virginia and on how it narrowed the Democrats’ majority in New Jersey, and are hoping to push for wins in states like Minnesota and Colorado while whittling down Democrat majorities on blue states with …

Gas Tax Freeze Being Voted On…
Michigan lawmakers on Wednesday said they will begin to vote on a gas tax freeze, which would suspend the state’s 27.2 cents per gallon gas tax for six months.
Republican leaders in Michigan’s state legislature made the announcement as gas prices reach over $4 a gallon, The Associated Press reported.
“This is a serious situation that requires more than letter writing and the magnanimous gesture of asking someone else to foot the bill,” state Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey ®, said in a statement, per the AP.

The February inflation rate soared to 7.9% in February. The biggest factors included gas, food and shelter — basic life essentials. The inflation rate was at 1.4% when Joe Biden entered the White House.

Hunter still listed as part owner of CCP firm
Chinese and American business records continue to list Hunter Biden as a 10% owner of the Chinese government-linked investment firm BHR Partners as of Tuesday, nearly four months after his lawyer said he had completely divested from the venture.
In November, Chris Clark, a lawyer for Biden, told the New York Times that his client “no longer holds any interest, directly or indirectly, in either BHR or Skaneateles,” the LLC wholly owned by Biden that held his 10% ownership stake in the Chinese investment firm.
But business records from China’s National Credit Information Publicity System accessed Tuesday continue to identify Skaneateles as a 10% owner in BHR, and Washington, D.C., business records continue to list Biden as the only beneficial owner of Skaneateles. The White House has routinely deflected questions about Biden’s business dealings to his attorneys, who have remained largely mum.

Biden To Request $2.6B For Disgusting Reason…
President Biden will request $2.6 billion for foreign assistance programs that promote general equality worldwide, he announced on International Women’s Day on Tuesday.
The funds will be part of his fiscal 2023 budget request to Congress and will double the amount requested for gender programs last year.
“On this day and every day, let us recognize that all of us have a better future when women and girls can reach their full potential — and together, let’s renew our efforts to advance dignity, equality, and limitless possibilities for all,” Biden said in a statement.

Chernobyl Disaster Warning
Russian occupying forces have disconnected Chernobyl nuclear power plant in northern Ukraine from the national power grid igniting safety fears at the site, the global nuclear watchdog warned Wednesday.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Ukraine had notified it about its loss of control over the site which had been taken by Russian troops.
As Breitbart News reported on February 24, Russia invaded Ukraine and seized the defunct Chernobyl plant, site of a 1986 disaster that killed hundreds and spread radioactive contamination west across Europe.
IAEA chief Rafael Grossi “indicated that remote data transmission from safeguards monitoring systems installed at the Chornobyl NPP had been lost”, the agency said in a statement.
“The Agency is looking into the status of safeguards monitoring systems in other locations in Ukraine and will provide further information soon,” it said.

The foregoing statements were made by people in positions of power. Note that none of these statements was a faux pas, a mistake quickly corrected. Indeed, all were delivered as intended for wide consumption and should remain recorded for posterity.
The first word that comes to (the reasonable) mind is “unserious,” an indictment born of our Biden-era transformation into a weak and woke culture. It is an opinion widely held by average Americans, as poll after poll reflects growing disdain for progressive policy.
