Congress Just Gave Itself A 21 Percent Pay Raise…

As Americans face an economic crisis, historic inflation and surging gas prices, Congress released a $1.5 trillion omnibus bill on Wednesday allocating $5.9 billion of fiscal 2022 Legislative Branch funding to boosting the allowance and salaries of their staff.

The legislation would grant $774.4 million for the Members Representational Allowance, which funds the House budgets for lawmakers, including staffer salaries and $1.7 billion for House operations.

“This $134.4 million, or 21 percent, boost over the previous fiscal year marks the largest increase in the MRA appropriation since it was authorized in 1996, according to a bill summary by the House Appropriations Committee,” Roll Call reports.

The bill does not technically provide a raise for members of Congress, who earn an annual salary of $174,000. But House staffers, who members use to run errands, and family members of Congressional lawmakers who are often put on payroll, will see a pay increase.

Pelosi and Entire Jan. 6 Committee Just Hit with Brutal News

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat-led committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol incursion have proved their goal is no longer simply to seek justice.

Instead, it is a full-on hunt to find any information that could possibly look bad for Republicans.

In truth, the intentions of the Jan. 6 committee should have been clear when Pelosi decided who was and wasn’t allowed to be on it.

The only two registered Republicans on the committee are Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, both of whom are fiercely anti-Trump and hardly conservative.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California originally chose Reps. Jim Banks of Indiana and Jim Jordan of Ohio to be on the committee, and those two would have provided some political diversity.

“NURSING HOME VOTER FRAUD INVESTIGATION”

The Amistad Project released the full video on Friday of Wisconsin nursing home patients who had absentee ballots cast in their name for the 2020 presidential election.

The video shows Amistad Project attorney Erick Kaardal interviewing seven Wisconsin families of nursing home patients who had absentee ballots cast for them during the 2020 presidential election despite the fact that they are in poor health. The patients’ families attested that they are unable to vote.

In the case of one nursing home resident, Walt Jankowski, he has been institutionalized since the 1970s. The 2020 presidential election is the only one with a record of him voting since being in a home, his son told Kaardal.

Retired state Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman, who is heading the special counsel for the Wisconsin state Assembly, found that 91 nursing homes in the counties of Milwaukee, Racine, Dane, Kenosha, and Brown had voter turnout rates ranging from 95% to 100% in 2020.
