WHO Report Sparks Renewed Clash With China on Origin of COVID

The World Health Organization has prompted renewed friction with the Chinese Communist Party after a new report refused to rule out a theory that the COVID-19 pandemic originated because of a lab leak in China.
The Chinese government has remained on the defensive amid international criticism that the CCP has not been fully cooperative or transparent in global investigations into the origins of the virus. The prevailing theory among many scientists is that the virus originated in wild animals and migrated to humans, also known as zoonotic transmission, but others argue SARS-CoV‑2 most likely started at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
WHO EXPERT GROUP SAYS LAB LEAK THEORY NEEDS MORE STUDY
The Scientific Advisory Group for the Origins of Novel Pathogens, the 27-member scientific advisory group assembled by the WHO, said in its first report out T …

U.S. District Court Deals Biden Admin’s Immigration Agenda Another Blow

A U.S. District Court Judge in Texas, Drew Tipton, dealt the Biden administration’s lenient immigration and border enforcement policies another blow on Friday when he struck down a Department of Homeland Security enforcement memo that instructed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to give deference to certain individuals inside the United States illegally. In his order, Judge Tipton explains that the Biden administration’s rule “as arbitrary and capricious, contrary to law, and failing to observe procedure under the Administrative Procedure Act.”“The Executive Branch may prioritize its resources,” Tipton’s order explained. “But it must do so within the bounds set by Congress.” By “[u]sing the words ‘discretion’ and ‘prioritization,’ the Executive Branch claims the authority to suspend statutory mandates,” he continued. “The law does not sanction this approach.“JUST IN — US Judge Drew Tipton throws out Biden administration rules that directed ICE agents to focus on arresting immigrants deemed to threaten national security or public safety and migrants who recently crossed a US border unlawfully.Tipton is paus …

Sarah Palin Leading First Round of Voting for Open House Seat in Alaska

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is leading in the all-party primary to fill the Frontier State’s lone House seat, following the unexpected death of the state’s longtime GOP Rep. Don Young earlier this year.
Midterm Memo: Palin raises money for Trump while seeking open Alaska House seat
The primary for a rare vacancy for Alaska’s only House seat, which was held by Young for 49 years, a large portion of its entire history as a state–attracted dozens of candidates. It was the first election conducted under a new system the state adopted in 2020 that ended party primaries, placing all candidates of any party on the same ballot, known as a jungle primary, and sending the top four candidates to a runoff election.
With about 72% of ballots counted, Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, had 29.8% over the vote. Republican Nick Begich, whose family has been active in Alaska politics for three generations, was next, with 19.3%. Independent Al Gross, a doctor who ran unsuccessfully for Senate in 2020, was third, with 12.5%. In fourth place was Democrat Mary Peltola, a former state representative.
The winners will advance to the August special election, in which the new ranked choice …

Marjorie Taylor Greene Confronts Lindsey Graham On Red Flag Laws
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R‑GA) on Tuesday posted a video of her asking Sen. Lindsey Graham (R‑SC) about any potential so-called red flag legislation and his commitment to due process.Red flag laws permit a judge to temporarily seize a person’s guns without a trial, based on a written complaint that the person in question might be a danger to themselves or others. Critics have argued such legislation eliminates due process protections, while proponents state that due process is not violated.“In 2019, Lindsey Graham promised he wouldn’t support gun confiscation without due process. In 2022, he’s ready to help Biden and the Democrats pass all of their gun control bills,” Greene charged in a post published on her Gettr account.“Lindsey Graham needs to hear from you. Tell him to vote NO on gun control, especially red flag gun confiscation,” she added. In the accompanying video, Greene tells Graham she’s concerned about red flag legislation as a “gun owner” and a “business owner,” and asks the senator to protect due process on any such legislation.“I ask if you guys will consider a way to put in this bill, where it doesn’t violate due process,” she told Graham.“We will,” the senator responded. “There won’t be a bill without that.”“Oh, thank you so much, sir,” Greene told Graham. The Georgia repres …

Biden Says Zelensky “Didn’t Want to Hear It” When U.S. Intel Warned of Russian Invasion

With so much other news going on domestically, the situation in Ukraine has largely fallen out of sight for most Americans. Yet, Russia is still invading the Eastern European nation, and the threat of a broader war still looms. The ultimate responsibility for that lies with Vladimir Putin. Though, you can certainly lay some of the blame at the feet of the Biden administration, which flatly refused to take preemptive action via sanctions to attempt to diffuse the situation. The president’s stubbornness regarding any kind of off-ramp has also arguably prolonged the deadly conflict.
But as per usual, Biden wants you to know that none of this is his fault. In fact, he wants you to know that so much that he’s now throwing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky under the bus. He then threw it in reverse and ran him over again.

NY Times: Many Democrat Party Officials Have No Faith in Biden

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
A New York Times report revealed Saturday that many Democratic Party officials have little faith that President Biden can keep his party afloat amid mounting crises. The piece also implied that the Jan. 6 Committee is Biden’s last chance before the midterm elections to persuade swing voters who are more fixated on inflation. According to reporters Reid Epstein and Jennifer Medina, “many Democratic lawmakers and party officials are venting their frustrations with President Biden’s struggle to advance the bulk of his agenda, doubting his ability to rescue the party from a predicted midterm trouncing and increasingly viewing him as an anchor that should be cut loose in 2024.“Biden has been polling poorly, and there are reports that he and his White House staff are frustrated with the obstacles in front of him, including increasingly negative media coverage.BIDEN ADMIN FOCUSED ON WINNING NEWS CYCLE: BRUCE

Federal Government Will Cover 100% of Recovery Costs for Largest Wildfire in New Mexico’s History

President Joe Biden said the government will cover “100 percent” of the recovery costs in response to the largest wildfire in New Mexico’s history, also the largest fire in the United States so far this year. The Calf Canyon Fire and the Hermits Peak Fire were originally “prescribed burns,” conducted as part of the U.S. Forest Service’s forest management measures. The burns escaped containment lines and merged into one and became the largest wildfire in state history in mid-May. It has now burned over 300,000 acres.
The prescribed burn that caused the Calf Canyon fire was concluded on Jan. 29, but it later reignited, and escaped containment lines on April 19. On April 23, amid strong winds that exacerbated the fire spread, it merged with the Hermits Peak Fire, which was also a prescribed burn that escaped containment lines on April 6.
“We have a responsibility as a government to deal with the communities who are put in such jeopardy,” Biden said in Santa Fe, New Mexico, at the state’s Regiona …

Biden’s Inflation is Costing Americans an Extra $460 a Month
White-hot inflation has forced the average American household to cough up an extra $460 per month, as surging prices for food and fuel put family budgets across the nation under strain.
Moody’s Analytics senior economist Ryan Sweet calculated the figure based on data released Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics that showed the Consumer Price Index had jumped 8.6% in the 12-month period ending May 31 – the largest increase since December 1981.
Sweet compared average US household spending in May to what would have been spent in 2018 and 2019, when annual inflation averaged 2.1%.
“Having inflation at 8.5% on a year-ago basis, compared with the 2.1% average growth in 2018 and 2019, is costing the average household $346.67 per month to purchase the same basket of goods and services as they did last year,” Sweet told The Post. “However, the pure cost for households for having inflation running at 8.5% is $460.42 per month.”
Soaring inflation has some economic experts worried a recession is coming, as President Biden and the Federal Reserve face pressure to enact policies to slow down the increase.
Many goods have gone up in price as inflation skyrockets to its highest le …
