New York Comic Con Commission List

Okay, ladies and germs. New York Comic Con is just around the corner and I just got all final information for the show. I’ll be there all four days. (Thursday – Sunday.)

I’ll be sitting at Artist Alley in the North Pavilion of the Javits Center. My booth number is #BB1.

I’ll be selling my “Savage Beauty” sketchbook. ($20, limited supply)

I’m also opening a very short commission list – 3 commissions spot. Each commission will be $800 for full body PENCIL illustration with minimum background. It’ll be drawn on 14″ x 21″ Bristol board.

You need to be at the show or have a friend pick it up at the show. I’ll NOT be mailing the art out.

There are several things I will not draw: Your wife or your girlfriend or a famous actress as a superhero. Nor will I draw a superhero that you’ve created.

Slow Sunday

Things are pretty slow this weekend. I’ve been trying to take the weekends off and spend time with my loved ones, instead of working like mad as usual.

These last few days, I’ve been mentally preparing for the work ahead (Marvel covers) and the New York Comic Con in two weeks.

A big fan and colorist, Andrew Wislocki, surprised me last week by coloring by recent Jungle Queen pin-up. He did a fantastic job coloring and capturing the warm whimsical feel of the piece. Thank you, Andrew!

On Wednesday, I’ll post what I’ll bring to the New York Comic Con and open up my commission list. (Very limited.)

Codename: Ghost Dog

First of all, “Ghost Dog” is not the official title of the book series that I’m doing with Tom Sniegoski. It’s just a place holder for the real title of our secret project.

Tom finished the stand-alone prologue story/novella which introduces most of the main characters, and I’m currently doing all the illustrations for it including several action sequences in comic book format.

This story is a mix of “Harry Potter” and “Sherlock Holmes” with a dash of “Hellboy” thrown in. Very exciting stuff.

Tom and I will post more art from the project as things move along.
