Kickstarter Woman Painting Almost Done!

It’s a been a very full weekend at Casa Cho. We just got a new dog from a rescue shelter. A pointer mix of some sort. She’s very mild, friendly and laid back. She hasn’t bark at all. We named her “Lucy”.

I’ve been slowly and steadily plugging away on the Kickstarter cover oil painting. I’m in the final stages of the painting. At this point, I pretty much have to finish the flower the woman is holding.

(My Kickstarter project will launch in 3 weeks after Thanksgiving. So heads up.)

Also as you can see, I’m working on several Marvel covers, including a wicked zombie themed cover. Those covers will be will showcased and announced soon by Marvel.

Jungle Queen Versus The Raptor

The Jungle Queen bug bit me again. Instead of working on my various cover assignments, I took the day off just drawing bunch of Jungle Queen fighting dinosaurs images.

This is one of the better sketches that I did. I really liked how the composition turned out. As matter of fact, I’m going to ink it and put it in my next art book.

I’ll post more Jungle Queen-Dino art as I finish them. The good ones, not the crappy ones.

POWER GIRL!

Here’s the rare Power Girl commission that was never picked up at the New York Comic Con two weeks ago. Lucky for me, I had a very patient fan who bought the piece on Sunday, right before I left the show to catch my train, when I realized the original commissioner wasn’t showing up to buy the piece.

He was also kind enough to scan it and send me the image for my archive. (Thanks, Dave. You’re a real mensch.)

On the home front, I’ve been busy trying to finish the Kickstarter project cover. It’s an oil painting which I’m having a blast but it’s consuming all the free time I have.

I’ll post the work-in-progress cover soon.

The Kickstarter project will launch after Thanksgiving in 4 weeks.
