New York Special Edition Comic Convention

Well, gang. I’ll be at the New York City Special Edition Comic Convention this weekend. I’ll be sitting at table Q9 in the Javits Convention Center. http://specialeditionnyc.com
Since, I don’t have a new sketchbook out for the show this year, I’ll be bringing a small amount of original art to sell instead, including my “Guardians of the Galaxy” Annual #1 cover. (14″ x 21″, ink and watercolor.) I will have other Marvel pieces for sale also. First come, first served.

June Deadline Hell

It’s the perfect storm of deadlines happening to me again. I have about 3 weeks to finish my Kickstarter book, “Drawing Beautiful Women: The Frank Cho Method” and “Guardians of the Galaxy ” Annual #1 for Marvel.
Lucky for me, I’ve partly finished both projects. But unlucky for me, I’m doing two comic conventions this month. Now, I’ve already canceled Heroes Comic Con in Charlotte, North Carolina but I’m still attending the New York Special Edition Comic Con this coming weekend. (Mostly to meet with my Marvel editors.)
Now I haven’t decided if I’m doing convention sketches at the New York show, but one thing for sure I’ll be bringing original art to sell. (Marvel covers and ballpoint pen nude art.) I’m only bringing a very limited amount of original art, so first come first served.
Art of the Day: Here’s the Frankenstein illustration, my homage to Bernie Wrightson and Franklin Booth, almost finished. The finished art will be in the “Drawing Beautiful Women: The Frank Cho Method” art instruction book coming out in the fall, including all the step-by-step process.

Pen and Ink Chapter

Time is just flying by. I’ve been preoccupied with writing and drawing the “Pen and Ink” chapter of my Kickstarter book, “Drawing Beautiful Women: The Frank Cho Method”, all week. Well, mostly drawing and stressing out.
Although, John Flesk and I have roughly laid out 75 pages, we still need 50 more pages to complete the book in 4 weeks. Hence, me freaking out a little. I know that we can make the deadline but it’s gonna be full work week for the rest of the month amidst the summer convention season.
Here’s what’s on my drawing table right now. I’m hoping to finish both by end of the week. Wish me luck.
