Big Wow Comic Fest 2014 Art Auction

No rest for the wicked. I just got back from “Spectrum Fantastic Art Live” in Kansas City (Big thanks to Arnie and Cathy Fenner, and John Fleskes for the wonderful show), and now packing for the Big Wow Comic Fest in San Jose, California this weekend. Yowaza!

Few big things about Big Wow Comic Fest:

* Two original art by me (Godzilla oil painting and Emma Frost oil painting) will be auctioned off on Saturday. http://www.bigwowcomicfest.com/schedu...

* Some of the best comic artists will be there sketching, signing autographs, and selling original art – Charlie Adlard (Walking Dead), Mike Mignola (Hellboy), Neal Adams (Batman), etc!

* I’ll be teaching my annual female figure drawing class. The lovely and bodacious, cosplayer Ivy Doomkitty, will be posing for us as live model again this year.

* Many artists will be doing live drawing demos and workshops throughout the weekend.

* I’ll have several original art and sketches for sale at the show.

* The first gigantic cos-play costume contest will be held at the show this year. The winners will receive first-ever contest victory medallions. (See medal design.)

So come to San Jose this weekend. Rain or shine, it’s gonna be insane.

This spring is going by fast. I can’t believe it’s the first week of May. This weekend has been a very full weekend for me. I got to hang out with friends and fans at “Cards, Comics and Collectibles” store in Reisterstown, Maryland for Free Comic Book Day, worked on my yard, and chipped away at my creator owned projects.

I managed to complete 4 more pages on my “Drawing Beautiful Women: The Frank Cho Method” art instruction book. And squeeze in a page for Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” annual #1. Like I said, full and productive weekend.

Here’s another Jungle Queen pin-up I did for my creator owned project. What’s worse than stubbing your toe? Little dino toe-biters.

Don’t forget I will be at two incredible shows this coming weeks: Spectrum Fantastic Art Live in Kansas City, Missouri (May 9-11) and Big Wow Comic Fest in San Jose, California (May 17 -18). Both are top notch conventions showcasing the best and the brightest artists in the business… and me. I’ll be the short guy in the group.
