I’m still trying to dig my way out of my creative slump, so I rearranged my drawing studio. I bought several big office furniture from IKEA that will help my studio more practical and functional. I’m happy with how everything is now set in the room. There’s more “flow” to the room.

I still have to assemble couple of furniture, but I decided to take a break and draw which I haven’t done since I came back from Texas. So here’s my fun doodle for Spider Gwen with a nod to Manara.

Slave Leia Sketch Cover

Took a short spring break with my wife in Austin, Texas, hanging out with our friend, Brandon Peterson at his new house. I actually got to relax which is unusual. Vacations stress the hell out of me – being herded to one place to another, hanging out with people I don’t really know. I hate all the polite bullshit and feign interest while trying to cram as much sightseeing as possible within the allotted time. Stress City!

But this break was nice. We made no plans except for a minor interlude meeting my wife’s family. The plan was “there was no plans”. We simply to hung out and went with the flow. We watched movies, drew pictures, ate at quiet restaurants, and went shopping for books- which is pretty much my ideal vacation. I started this Princess Leia sketch cover while lazing about the house during the break. (I didn’t realized how tiny and skinny Princess Leia was when I looked up her photo references.)

Now break time is over. I’ve caught my breath somewhat. I have to dive back into the thick of things. Back to Skybourne, World of Payne, and Marvel. Back to real life.
