Finally getting the old kitchen counter tops ripped out today and the new granite counter is getting installed tomorrow. Needless to say it’s been a nightmare of activities, noise and dust. Just ask my dog. She’s freaking the hell out.

I have my ear plugs in and trying my best to get some work done today. I hope to get couple of Hulk pages penciled by midnight.

But first a quick sketch cover for fun – Power Girl doing a little social experiment. Enjoy, everyone.

Well, it’s now week 4 of the kitchen remodel at Casa Cho and things are still moving at a snail’s pace. But things are looking up, my granite counter tops are going to be installed next Tuesday and the new dishwasher will be in Wednesday. However the new refrigerator is still a no show. Back order I’m told.

I’m trying not to think about the giant screw-up that is called Lowe’s and not stress out. I’m just focusing on getting my Hulk pages done and drawing some sketch covers for fun.

Case in point: here’s a cheeky Power Girl sketch cover I just finished. Enjoy.

The New Hulk – Amadeus Cho

Marvel just officially announced the project I’m doing with the fantastic writer, Greg Pak. It’s the Totally Awesome Hulk. It’s not my favorite title but it captures the fun and slightly off-beat nature of the story.

However the big historic footnote of this project is that Marvel is keeping up with the changing time and letting an Asian character step into the title role. Amadeus Cho, Korean-American, will no longer be relegated to the sidekick role and will take on the mantle of new Hulk. This is a very important step in the history of comics, despite high number of Asian creators in the comic book field, there has never been a major Asian character in American comic books, excluding the sidekick and minor supporting character roles.

That being said, Bruce Banner, the original Hulk will still be an active part of the new Hulk saga.

Judging by the number of positive and negative messages I’ve received online, this new Hulk project will definitely be the book to watch later this year.

Big thanks to Marvel Comics and especially, Axel Alonso, for their bravery and strength to forge a new path in the comic book field.
