Summer Stress

I hate summer. I really hate summer. Summer means I have more work and less time to accomplish them. Throw in unexpected and very costly home repairs, it’s a perfect storm of “not getting anything done and pissing everyone off.”
This is the situation I’m in right now. My oven and dishwasher gave up the ghost within two weeks of each other, not to mention the leaky kitchen faucet I had to deal with all year. Instead of repairing them, I’ve decided to replace all the appliances and completely redo the kitchen which was on its last legs, something my wife has been “reminding” me about for years. Suddenly my very limited time of doing actual paying work went from barely manageable to “there’s no where in hell I can get that page done this week without sleeping”.
So I’m letting you guys know that my art blog will be very spotty for the next few weeks until I get the kitchen repaired and my kids are back in school… Hopefully, I can get in 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep in there somewhere. Wish me luck, fellas.

Jason Smith just sculpted a beautiful Jungle Girl statue for Dynamite Entertainment. He’s one of the few sculptors who I think captured the athletic “thickness” of my women.
Great job, Jason! I hope to see more statues from you.
I have no idea when its coming out nor what it’s retailing for but I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
