Well, I’ve been sitting on this cover for awhile. It appears Marvel finally released the colored cover image last month, but mis-credited my cover art to Mike Choi. WTF?! No wonder I was getting zero feedback for this image. I’m not sure, who colored this cover but I hope Marvel gave the credit to the right colorist.

This Fantastic Four #608 comes out in July.

Anyway, here’s the side-by-side comparison of the black and white art and the colored art.

Brandy pin-up: Christmas

Every year, I have two very stressful times in my life: the summer convention season and the winter work season.

During the summer convention season, I work my ass off to get various art books and prints ready for San Diego Comicon. During the winter work season, I try to finish all my comic book projects before Marvel and Image Comics shut down for the winter holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Well, the summer convention season is upon me and I am getting my ass kicked trying to get my crap ready for San Diego. The big project that I’m working on in time for San Diego Comicon this year is my first Liberty Meadows calendar. I thought it would be an easy job but it turns out to be harder than I expected. I’m still three pin-ups shy of my goal. Although, I did just finished the Christmas pin-up (see jpeg), so technically I’m two shy of my goal but it still needs to be colored.

Well, I guess the point of this blog is excuse me if I kind of drop off the map recently. I’m just slammed with drawing naughty pictures for you fans.

Because I care. ;-)

Lake Effect Comic Book Convention

I’m still at Lake Effect Comic Book Convention in Mentor, Ohio. Decent turn out for a new and small show. I’m having a great time just hanging and talking with my friends and fans. Big thanks to John Haines at Comics and Friends Comic Shop for taking good care of me, and to Marc Nathan and Sam Tannous for driving my crap up to the show.

I’m still cranking away on the Liberty Meadows calendar. I’m trying to debut it at Heroes Con in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 3 weeks. But factoring the coloring time and the printing time, it’s going to be a tight race to the finish. Knock on wood.
