Light At The End Of The Tunnel

Well, I’m in a lockdown mode for the next two days while I finish my last 2 pages of Savage Wolverine #5. After nearly a year, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I can’t believe that I wrote, scripted, penciled and inked the first story arc of monthly series, Savage Wolverine, and created two brand new villains for the Marvel Universe in the process.

And I couldn’t have done with without the support of all you fan boys and girls out there. Thank you for picking it up and reading it. Thank you for the positive feedback and the kind words. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Okay. Now excuse me while I put this mother to bed.

Picture of the Day

This was the second piece that I did at WonderCon which the guy never showed up to pick up. But there was another buyer at hand who picked it up on Sunday. Not only that, he paid me extra to take it home and ink it. Thanks, Dave!

So here’s the penciled piece now. I’ll have the inked version later.

Convention Sketch

Well, gang. I just finished WonderCon at Anaheim, California, and it was a blast. I had absolutely a wonderful time hanging out with old friends and making new ones.

Thank you all for the kind words on Savage Wolverine. I’m floored that you guys are enjoying the story as much as I enjoyed writing it. And yes, things are gonna get more exciting in Savage Wolverine #4 and especially #5.

Keep your eyes peeled for TWO MAJOR VILLAINS in issue #5.

Okay. I had an odd experience with one of the convention commissions this past weekend. I did the convention illustration (Shanna and Zabu) but the guy never showed up to pick it up. So I’m going to lay down some ground rules on my convention commissions.

1) I rarely do convention commission.

2) When I do a convention commission, you need to pick it up and pay me at the show upon completion. OR send a friend to pick it up and pay me.

3) I DON’T MAIL OUT CONVENTION COMMISSIONS.

4) If you don’t pick it up at the end of the show on Sunday, I’m going to sell it to someone else.

By the way, the guy who didn’t show up to pick up that convention commission will never get another art from me.

Lucky for me, I sold the unclaimed illustration to another buyer at the end of the show on Sunday.

Wonderful WonderCon

I’m wrapping up my weekend at WonderCon in Anaheim, California, and all I can say is “awesome”.

I sold out of all my “Women Book 2″ art books on Friday. So I ended up doing several conventions sketches which I normally never do. I didn’t scan or take pictures of any of those sketches, but you may see some floating around in the internet… and eBay. ;-)

I had a great time hanging out with my buds, Steve Morger, Jim Silke, John Higashi, Ivy Doomkitty and Dave Turner, etc…. Speaking of Ivy Doomkitty, I’ve decided to do a nice nude art print of her, hopefully, in time for Big Wow Comic Fest. More info later.

Anyway, It’s getting late and I have bunch of stuff to finish before I fly out. So I leave you with another sneak peek of the upcoming Savage Wolverine #4 issue which is coming out in 3 weeks. This is where Wolverine loses his shit and goes berzerk.
