Crunch Time Before San Diego Comic-Con

Well, it’s 4:52 in the morning. I tried sleeping but I kept thinking about my overwhelming workload. So I got up and started drawing, trying to finish up one more panel on my X-Men book.
I’m trying to get all the X-Men pages penciled before I leave for San Diego Comic-con next week. And ink the pages while I’m at the show. If I don’t, I’m screwed.
People often think writing and drawing comics is a great and glamorous job. Well, it is. But NOT during weeks leading up to San Diego Comic-Con. Those weeks are pure hell since many of the projects are due to show off during the show.
Every year, I try to finish all my projects well before the show but every year I get stuck behind the deadline eight-ball. This year is the same, and my eight-ball is named X-Men: Battle of the Atoms.
One panel turned into three panels and three became a double page spread.
Now I’m exhausted. But I feel a little better and I can finally sleep.

Busy Weekend

Busy busy weekend. I’m working on 3 projects, getting ready for San Diego Comic-Con.
I’m putting the finishing touches on Ivy Doomkitty “Dat Ass’ art print, X-men for Marvel and my creator owned project.
Stressful, yes. But I’m still having fun.
I have to empty the garage tonight to make room for the “Savage Beauty” sketchbooks that are coming tomorrow morning.
