Seeing God In The Rain
Howdy, Y’all!
Ruby Mae here! Well, here lately my neck of the woods have been given plenty of rain. It rains and it rains and it rains some more. It can sure put a damper on things. But then, if you allow it, it can show you God’s beauty as well.
I know most of you are familiar with the hymn, “Showers of Blessings”. Well, just like the here where it seems the rain has no end right now, God’s showers of blessings never ever end, thank God! God continues to rain down His blessings and mercy on His children, and this gal is eternally grateful.
God’s children will never experience a spiritual drought. Isn’t that amazing? Even if we’re going through the storm or the desert, we have God’s eternal showers of blessings. Sometimes the rain is invisible, but His children can always be assured that it’s there. One proof of this fact is the eternal river of life springing up continually in God’s children. Just as it was promised to the Samaritan at the well mentioned in John chapter four.
My friend, do you choose to see the blessings in life no matter the circumstance? or not? If you are going through a rough spot and just can’t see God’s hand and His blessings, please pray and seek them out. I promise you, God is there and so are His blessings raining down during this hardship. For God’s children are never alone nor forsaken by our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Many Blessings to you all!

Howdy, Y’all!
Ruby Mae here with a very special guest, whom I am very excited to introduce to you! I recently posted a review of an amazing novel, The Pursued by name. Today I have with me the author of this wonderful novel, Miss Willowy Whisper! It is a real pleasure and a sweet blessing to have her here today. So please give a warm welcome to Willowy!

WILLOWY WHISPER is a young, Christian fiction author. She lives in a beautiful place called West Virginia, nestled between mountain and field. She is the author of nine novels, eight of which are published, and numerous short stories. She is also a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, an incurable romantic, and a passionate dreamer. Ruby Mae: Thanks so much for joining me today, Willowy!
Willowy: Thanks for having me! I’m really excited to be here.
Ruby Mae: Awesome! Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m super excited to get started! First things first though, why don’t we let my readers know a little about The Pursued? We can start with a brief synopsis and then you can share anything else you’d like to add.
Willowy: This is the third and final book in my trilogy, so I’m terribly excited to finally get it on the shelf!

The Pursued Synopsis
Fawn Wendell has no choice but to flee. Her life depends on it. She has nowhere to go, but that doesn’t matter. She has to disappear. She has to get lost, never to be found again, before her pursuer attacks.
Adam Preston loves his children. They’re all he has left. But with the ranch to run, is there any way he can give them what they need, especially when he’s hurting himself?
Jake Sumner returns to an old house, a place that arouses too many memories. If he decides to stay, he may have trouble on his hands…trouble a whole lot bigger than him.
Sadie is an injured, silent bird, locked in a cage she can’t free herself from. Her nightmares are real. The fear kills her voice. Will she ever fly again?
Ruby Mae: Thanks so much for sharing that with us, Willowy! Now, let’s learn a little about you. I have a few questions for you. Are you ready?
Willowy: Ask away!
Ruby Mae: Great! Alright, here it goes. Reading plays an important role in a writer’s line of work; different books play different roles in shaping us into better writers. They have the ability to tug at our heartstrings in many different ways. I’m curious, what is the first book that made you cry?
Willowy: I can’t remember the name of it, but it was one of the first Christian-fiction books I had ever read. My mom got it out of her “book” trunk. I was so distraught partway through that I had to lay down the book, go to the bathroom, and wash my face to stop crying. I later asked her why in the world she would start me off with something so sad!
Ruby Mae: Awe…

Character Spotlight: Isaac Sawyer
Howdy to you all and hope you’re having a wonderfully blessed day!
Ruby Mae here! As you know, my most recent novel, Seeking Refuge, was just released; so exciting! My last post featured the heroine of the novel, Joyce Watson. Today, I’m gonna introduce you to the hero, Isaac Sawer. Any of you who have read Hidden Treasures, book one in my Faith in the Valley series, then you know Josiah Sawyer is one of twelve children in his family. Isaac is the eldest of the twelve and Seeking Refuge is his story. So without further ado, please meet, Isaac Sawyer!
Isaac Sawyer lives a great life. He lives on a beautiful guest ranch in his hometown of Cascade Valley, TN with his wonderful family. He’s the sheriff of the small valley town and he loves his job. Most importantly, he has a great God Who loves and cares for him and he returns that love wholeheartedly and it shows through his deep faith in Christ. Yes, despite having his heart broken once by a woman fearful of his job title, Isaac lives a great life.
That day started about the same as any other. He’d just gotten out of work, ready to head home and relax with family, when he noticed a woman parked next to his cruiser, her head against the steering wheel. Was she hurt? He knocked on her window, jumping back in surprise when she jerked away with a start. He’d scared her, but what was she doing here?
Time proves the pretty stranger is hiding something–or from something. But what he doesn’t know–but he’s determined to find out. The fear he sees in her beautiful blue eyes tugs at his heart, causing a longing to help her. But Joyce doesn’t trust him; that much is clear. Can he earn her trust before her fears become a reality?

The title is The Pursued and it was written by Willowy Whisper. So now, without further ado, here’s my review:
“The Pursued” is an AMAZING novel! Actually, that may be an understatement! This story is beautifully written and will without a doubt, tug at your heartstrings! With dangerous thrills, a hint of humor, and a whole lotta love, this book will have you shedding tears, laughing out loud, and rooting for the characters all the way to a magnificent ending! Honestly, this is the best historical novel I’ve read since “Love Comes Softly” by Janette Oke. Anyone who liked “Love Comes Softly” will simply adore “The Pursued”; it’s just that good.

House On Foster Hill: Book Review
Howdy Y’all!
Ruby Mae here! Alright, so I read this awesome book, published by Bethany House, written by Jamie John Wright. Here’s my review:
Not quite sure how to best review this book. It’s awesomely suspenseful and unique. There’s two mysteries, two timelines, two stories, but all of those involve one house on Foster Hill. With edge of your seat suspense, you keep turning the page to discover what happens next. But be forewarned, this story isn’t for the faint of heart. There are a number of intense, dark, very descriptive scenes. But over all this is a great Christian read. I give it 5-stars!

Livin’ With The Light On
Howdy Y’all!
Ruby Mae here! I can hardly believe Chanukah starts at sunset tomorrow! We’ll be lighting the first candle on the menorah tomorrow evening. We’ll read about the miracles of Chanukah, recite the blessings, have an opening feast, and open a gift while thoroughly enjoying each other’s company. Ah, what a wonderful time.
On a more serious note, we will begin examining our lives for Christ. And this year, I’m proud to say, we’re kicking off the Feast of Rededication with an amazing praise report. One of my brothers, the eldest of the boys, made a profession of faith last night giving his heart to God! Isn’t that an awesome start to this year’s Holy Day? Amen! Thank You, Yeshua! Praise God!
Now, I hope y’all will keep us in your prayers as we are celebrating Chanukah. For we are determined to rekindle our flames for Christ Yeshua and live life with our lights burning brightly for Him. Y’all know as much as I do, living with our lights on in this dark, dark world is anything but easy. It’s right down difficult. So please, keep us in your prayers.
Here’s a few things for those wondering, how can we live with our light on?:
Spend time in Yahweh’s presence.
Meditate and study His inspired Word.
Prayer time is essential.
Keep your heart and conscience clean by confessing known sin in your life to Him and seeking His forgiveness.
Be quick to hear and slow to speak. The biggest way we affect people are with our words, whether spoken, written, or signed.
Pray for others.
Be quick to show love and kindness. Even and especially to those we feel don’t deserve it.
Walk away from arguments. We don’t have to and shouldn’t attend every argument we are invited to.
Importantly, place your trust and faith in Yahweh and I’m alone. We are in the flesh, we are going to mess up. The only way we can be and do good is by allowing Yahweh full control of our life and He will do good through us.
Many Blessings and Happy Chanukah!

Happy Chanukah Y’all!
Howdy, Y’all!
An excited Ruby Mae here! It’s holiday season! The most wonderful time of the year! For me and my family, it’s also a time of rededication! A time to rekindle our fire for our Lord and Savior, Yeshua(Jesus Christ).
Me and my family used to celebrate Christmas, up until last year. Then we discovered the truth behind the holiday.(Not trying to offend anyone; just letting y’all know why we celebrate Chanukah instead) Truth, Yeshua was born in the fall, most likely and most logically, during Sukkot(The Feast of Tabernacles). Truth, Christmas was started from a pagan holiday. I know, not everyone celebrates it for those reasons, but our convictions stir us away from the holiday of Christmas.
Instead, we celebrate the eight day Biblical Holy Day of Chanukah. Also known as Hanukah, the Feast of Rededication, and the Festival of Lights, this eight day celebration is packed with fun, inspiration, encouragement, and heartwarming for every Christian. From a Christian’s perspective, Chanukah is a time to give to the less fortunate, cheer and uplift people, but most importantly, to spend time examining your life for Christ. It’s not called the Feast of Rededication for nothing ya know. During these eight days, we are to examine our lives for Christ, seek forgiveness where we’ve failed Christ, and literally rededicate our lives back to Him.
Other fun things we do on Chanukah include: lighting the menorah every sunset, reading about the miracles Yeshua performed during Chanukah(yes, Christ Himself even celebrated Chanukah! It’s recorded in John chapter 10), visiting and singing to others, opening one to two gifts a night while the menorah is burning, and all the Chanukah goodies(doughnuts, tater-cakes-latkes-, and fun games.). And it all starts at sunset on December 12th this year!
If ya have any questions about Chanukah, comment below!
many Blessings and Happy Chanukah!
Ruby Mae
