A Prayer For Success
Howdy, Y’all!
Ruby Mae here! Today I’d like to give a warm welcome to guest blogger, Timmy Paul. Today he is sharing a story with us and I pray you’ll allow it to touch your heart as you read. Without further ado, here’s Timmy:
Living my life has been difficult for me in the past years. I went to high school but without conviction of what to do with my life. I’ve always been devastated and full with a lot of doubts. I know I am to make an impact in life, but how to do it, I don’t know. I can’t desemminate and assimilate science works because I went for sciences in school. My dad wanted me to go for sciences and I followed his words. If I had known, I would have gone for art and not sciences. I’m a Nigerian and live in Nigeria. It has been my dream to study abroad in countries like the USA, Canada, London to mention few. I’m yet to achieve that, but I hope one day my dreams will come true.
Yeah, I came from a poor family. I sometimes trekked miles to school and back home. I had no text books and it greatly affected my school work. Eating at school was never a privilege I enjoyed. Most times in class I got hungry and sometimes cried because I hated the life I was livin. Things became difficult and I felt like giving up. There’s no happiness in life for me and everything seemed to blur. In fact, I had a vague image of what the future said about me, but I knew I was created and born to be great.
My friends went to college and here I am still at home for almost four years. I haven’t got a sponsor and I’m losing hope day by day. Like I said earlier, I went for sciences and it’s been in my mind to become a doctor. I fully know I can’t make a good doctor because I don’t have much interest in it. And I know I’ll have to be one of the best students. I’ll also need lots of sponsors for projects, there’s no joke about that. I wanted to become a doctor because I loved helping people. I want to help people and change people’s health statuses. I want to make a change and make things better for the less privileged. I want to make the poor smile and give them hope. I want to impact others and let them see hope in the community in which they live. These were my dreams, but as a doctor will it be achieved? Well, I’m not sure. Then I discovered being a doctor will never help my future, because I don’t have an in depth passion for it.
“So, what will I do with my life”? This has been a puzzle and an unanswered question I’ve been asking myself. But one day, something changed entirely and turned all my doubts into surety. I realized my passion for writing. I realized my passion for motivating. I realized my passion for creative writing. Then, I discovered myself. Oh! How sweet it is when you realize the best way to live you life. I went online and created a Facebook account. I started writing my creative write ups and my friends started reacting and commenting even though I commit a few grammatical blunders.
One of the problems I faced and I’m still facing is data or internet connection. I am not rich enough to buy internet data to browse. I mostly use free Facebook mode for my write ups. Another problem is that I don’t have a laptop or desktop. The only ICT gadget I have and I make use of is my phone. In fact, I am not having a very good phone but I won’t let that draw me back. I also got to know about blogging and I created an account here. It’s also my phone I’m currently using in typing. I wish one day I’ll have everything needed to achieve my goals.
It’s my dream to touch lives with what I write and even how I act. I want to go out of my comfort zones and get things done. My family couldn’t cater for our needs. I have to stand high and stand out. I have to be outstanding and outshining. I have to sacrifice so many things to get so many things. I’m still on the path to achieving my goals. I want to change the world. I want to have impact even if the world would not get better. I want the whites and blacks to come together and act as one. I want to stop inferiority complex in people and show them they’re superior. I want to show love and let love lead in all we do. I want to help the less privileged. I don’t still know how to do it, but I know one day it’ll happen. Please, if you think you can help my vision, let me know. I’m coming to the world in hopes that the world will help this young man who sees great things in a perverse generation. I want to study in college and get things done as early as possible. I’ve been trying but things have been going abortive. But I will never give up.
I’ll be sharing ways by which we can have success in life.
1. Discover yourself:
The greatest way to help our future is by discovering ourselves especially in Christ Jesus. Discover what you’re capable of doing. Discover why God almighty created you. Discover your purpose in life. Discover what you’ll do with your life and how you’ll make impact. Discover to recover. Discover your possessions and positions. Sit and discover who you are. Discover your talents and gifts. Discover your motive and mission. Discover your pleasure and treasure. Discover your weak points and strong points. Discover all you can discover about yourself. Ask yourself honest questions and that will greatly help you. Don’t try to deceive yourself by following others. They have their life while you have yours, so live and love your life.
2. Discover your world: discovering your world is one thing you must know and understand. What’s the current situation of the world? What does it need for a change? How can I make the change happen?
What benefit am I to my world? These are questions we need to ask about our world. There are so many people who want success but are not willing to discover what the world is saying and implying. They feel unconcerned and this make them irrelevant. For you to achieve any greater thing in life, you have to discover your world after discovering yourself. Your world says and determines who you’ll be.
3. Work hard: working hard is something that isn’t easy to most success wanters. Some of us really want success but hate hard work.
Success is sweet likewise it’s sweat. You have to give up sleep. You have to give up TV. You have to give up clubbing. You have to give up irrelevant fun. You have to give up pleasure to gain treasure. You have to give all you can to get to that place you want to be. Hard work is necessary and compulsory. It’s not easy but later you’ll find it pleasing and enticing. Never hesitate to work hard.
4. See failure as a friend: many have failed today because they failed yesterday. Yesterday’s failure shouldn’t determine today’s. Failure is a friend who acts like enemy. But if you keep learning from it you’ll understand reasons you need to make a friend from failure. Without failure you won’t understand success.
When you fail today, rise and make sure you succeed tomorrow. Failure shouldn’t determine who you’ll be rather make you who you want to be. See blessing in failure and make sure you get motivated from every failures you encounter in the journey of life. You have to live and love your life.
5. Never give up: even when it seems there’s no good still never give up. You don’t have to give up in order to move up and stay up. You have to stand up in order to remain up. Up is where you are meant to be and life and its frivolities shouldn’t discourage your passion in life. Stay determined and never give up.
Make sure you’re high and get your chin high. Get your shoulders straight and remain who you are. Your family, peer groups, friends, colleagues and society shouldn’t make you lose focus on your goals. Don’t give up, you’re meant to stay up. Remember, live and love your life.
6. Be happy: even when everything go wrong, make sure you’re happy. It’s going to be okay, these problems are just for a while.
7. Lean on God: many people failed in this category. They keep using there human wisdom leaving God aside. Well, we have many who doesn’t believe in God and still successful. Yeah! It’s true. But the greatest success is living your last lives in paradise. When you accept Christ, work for God, and do His will, you’ll spend eternity with Him. Life’s going to end some days but life with God will be forever more. Never put God by the way but put in first. He should dominate your success life and I’m sure things will forever go well.
“If condition brings confusion, let your vision and determination give you passion to accomplish your mission.”
–Timmy Paul Oladapo.
I’m sure if you determine well, you’ll get there. If you believe in God, things will work well.
You need to live and love your life to get a better life and to get best from life. Thanks reading this.
Thanks, Timmy!
Many Blessings Everyone, until nexttt

Footprints In The Sky
Nahum 1:3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
Howdy Y’all!
I’m Ruby Mae and I have a post to share with you today! Today I want to share with you, a very special verse, Nahum 1:3.(posted above)
Now I know many people have suffered a great deal by these recent hurricanes and storms. Maybe some ate still hurting and suffering lost. My heart goes out to those. But I want to share with you, God has a purpose and a plan for each and every storm, both physical and spiritual. Nahum says, God has His way in the whirlwind and storms. We can’t see the whole picture, but God can. Trust me, God had a Devine purpose for these storms, most of us may not ever know what it is, but we can believe by His promise there indeed was at least one.
Now another thing, you may be wondering, if God’s sole purpose for this storm isn’t for me, then why am I stuck with the mess? Friend, don’t think for one moment that any storm you go through is pointless. God uses each and everyone to strengthen and guide us on our walk with Him by adding to our testimony.
Besides, God walks us through the entire storm, just sometimes we refuse to look and see Him in our midst. Like the old song says, He’s in the midst of our storm. My favorite part of that verse in Nahum is the passage, The clouds are the dust of His feet. Every storm has its clouds, you know it’s true. But have ya ever realized that those clouds are the evidence that God is with us during those storms? That passage just sends tingles of joy through my body at the knowledge that during any storm I face, all I have to do is look up and see the God is with me. His footprints are written in the clouds for they ate the dust of His feet.
And doesn’t it make ya feel cherished that God not only is walking through the storm with you, But is also treading it under foot, clearly showing you that He is in control and the storm will be unable to defeat you? Love overflows through me for the God who loves me so much that He walks through and defeats my storms for me, allowing me to walk through them by is side to strengthen my walk for Him.
So friends, whenever your going through a storm, be it physical or spiritual, look up and be blessed by seeing God’s footprints in the clouds.
Many Blessings to you all!
-Ruby Mae

Joy of the Dawn
Good Mornin’, Y’all! Ruby Mae here again with another post for you! First things first though, I have a praise report. My power is back on! Yay!!! Thank You, Lord! Okay, now on to today’s post.
I’m so glad the power is back, but I gotta admit, living without power for a few days made me appreciate our Pioneer ancestors. Especially when it came to cooking, lol. For the first time in my life I fried biscuits in a skillet over a fire like they did on the trail. Lol now that was an experience I won’t soon forget. And lets not forget heating water over a fire for washing. Oh, and the wonderful candles and lanterns for lighting at night. Makes me wish I could go back in time and learn a few things and come back a bit wiser.
I think the biggest thing I learned to appreciate was the lack of distractions. It was so easy to remember to pray and spend time with God when the luxury of electricity and electronics were taken away or extremely limited. I guess that’s why they call ’em the good ole days. They were close to God, because they lived simply. They spent time with God and Family because it was more important than keeping up with the Times.
Wouldn’t you agree that the world would be a better place if we all lived life a bit more simpler like they did in those days gone by?
Many Blessings,
Ruby Mae

Faith In The Dark
Howdy Y’all!
Ruby Mae here! Hope everyone is safe and well during these storms we’re experiencing. Myself, I’m sitting in the dark while hurricane Irma has her fun. Yep, my power’s out. But it’s okay, it’s given me time to think and reflect.
God promises us that He’ll be there with us even in our darkest times. It’s in those dark times in our lives that our faith is made stronger and we become closer to God. So the darkness is one of God’s greatest blessings. Though, it may not seem like it at the time, God is strengthening you. Sure, you may feel alone in this cold dark storm you’re going through but God is right there beside you. If God has brought you to this dark and stormy time, you better believe He will bring you through it. Amen!
God doesn’t allow His children to go through more than they can handle. So keep you chin up, if this seems like a tough patch, know that you’re even tougher.
Wanna know another thing? When we’re in our darkest times, we may not be able to see God in our lives, but it is then that our more powerful senses kick in. We are able to feel Him more than at any other time. We’re able to hear Him louder than ever before. We are able to taste His sweet, sweet presence and breathe in His Holy Spirit.
So ya see friends, the darkness, be it physical or spiritual, isn’t so bad. In fact, it’s truly a blessing to be treasured. It’s a time for us to shine as lights for Christ and show the world how great our God is.
Many Blessings and Keep Shining,
Ruby Mae
