Not One… But TWO New Books Coming Soon!
Howdy, everyone!
This is Dani! I know it’s been a while, but I’m happy to say I am back in the writing game! Some of you were probably wondering if I gave up and simply forgot about my small town of Cascade Valley, Tennessee and about the amazing Sawyer Family. Well, you’ll be glad to know that isn’t the case! And to make it up to you, my readers, I’ve been working hard of not one, but TWO books, which I hope and pray to have available this year.
Now, for those of you who have read book four, Unseen Dangers, I know you were expecting book five to be Questionable Innocence, Maggie’s story. But due to some issues, Maggie’s story will be further up in the series. Book five will be Peter’s story titled, Ring of Suspicion.

Here’s you an exclusive sneak peak:
Knock, knock, knock…
Chasity Miller knocked on her dad’s door for the third time. Something’s up. It had to be. She turned and reconfirmed her dad’s classic, Chevy truck sat in the driveway. By all appearances, he should be home. So why wasn’t he answering the door? The question had fear sinking like lead into the pit of her stomach.
She’d driven almost two days straight from Montana to get to Dad’s house in Cascade Valley, Tennessee to surprise him for his birthday. But now, something within her said the “surprise” was about to bite her terrifyingly. Lord, please don’t let this be happening again…
A few months ago, she’d made the drive to surprise her parents. But her dad had ridden to town when she’d arrived, and after her mom hadn’t answered the door, she saw her lying lifeless on the kitchen floor when Chastity had looked through the windows. But by the time they’d gotten inside, her mom was already gone—dead from a heart attack.
Using the moon’s soft glow for light, she walked around to the backdoor and knocked. No answer. With a nervous sigh, she lifted the small flower pot and retrieved the spare key taped to the bottom. Her fingers trembling, she unlocked the door and slowly entered.
“Daddy? Are you in here?” The tremor in her voice spoke volumes of her state of mind.
She decided to check the living room first. Maybe Dad had simply fallen asleep on the sofa while watching another documentary. She could only hope.
Fingers shaking, she flipped the light switch. Immediately bright light flooded the room—the empty room. She searched the rest of the house with no results. Dad wasn’t anywhere to be found. The foreboding feeling in her gut grew.
Where are you, Daddy? What should she do? She could call the police, but she didn’t know what she could tell them. They surely wouldn’t take her seriously if she told them she couldn’t find her dad, with nothing to go on but a gut feeling that screamed something was terribly wrong.
The house was spotless, the doors were locked when she arrived, and she’d only just arrived. Nothing seemed amiss. But she knew something was definitely amiss. She’d never known Dad to walk to town or ride with anyone besides her and Mom, yet his truck was here and he wasn’t.
Calm down and think, Chasity. Maybe Dad’s truck wouldn’t start and he was forced to either walk or hitch a ride with one of his friends he hung out with at the Around The World Cafe.
One way to find out. Chasity took the keys from their place on the kitchen wall and walked out to the old truck. Slipping behind the wheel, she inserted the key into the ignition and turned it over. The engine roared to life and purred like a kitten. Nothing wrong with the truck. But then, she really hadn’t thought there would be.
Maybe she was just being paranoid. Yes, surely that was it. She was just assuming the worse due to past experiences. Taking some form of action would make her feel better.
Determining to do just that, Chasity hopped out of the truck, locked it up, and slipped behind the wheel of her own car. Before she knew it, she was in downtown Cascade Valley. Her eyes scanned the sidewalks in search of Dad’s wide-brimmed, straw hat he always wore when he went out.
She circled through town a couple of times before pulling into a parking spot in front of the Around The World Cafe. Hopefully, she would find Dad inside. The amazing décor of the unique cafe failed to derail her anxiety. She scanned the crowd quickly—no sign of Dad. Perhaps someone had seen him.
The cafe wasn’t too crowded this late in the evening. She didn’t bother to really acknowledge anyone as she wound her way through to the back of the cafe. Daniel, the cafe’s owner, greeted her with a smile when she reached the back.
“Hey, Chasity. Good to see you again. How have you been?” Daniel greeted.
“Fine. I was wondering if you’ve seen Daddy?”
“Sure, he was in here about three hours ago. Hung out with Charlie Alders and Noah Sawyer for a bit, then took off toward his place in that cool Chevy of his. Is something wrong?” Daniel smiling face turned to one of concern.
“I don’t know. I just came from Dad’s house. His truck was there, but he wasn’t.”
“Noah’s gone home already, but Charlie is still at the table in the corner talking with a couple of guys. You can ask Charlie if Howard shared any plans before leaving.”
“Thanks, Daniel. I’ll do that.” She smiled her thanks before making her way over to Charlie.
Charlie smiled when he saw her. “Chasity! We were just talking about you earlier today. Does your dad know you’re in town?”
She shook her head, her golden-brown hair bouncing over her shoulders. “Not yet, Charlie. I was hoping you could tell me if Daddy told you anything before he left today. Like what his plans for tonight were or if he was going anywhere else today.”
“Ol’ Howard mainly just talked about you and how much he missed you. Noah tried to talk him into going to their guest ranch for some pie to celebrate Howard’s birthday, but you know your old man, he politely refused, said he would spend the rest of the evening at home.”
Another dead end… “Thanks for your time, Charlie. I’ll catch you later.”
“Anytime, Chasity. You take care now, ya hear?” Charlie responded with a wink.
Daniel stopped her on her way out. “Hey, Chastity, any luck?”
She shook her head as she kept walking toward the exit. “No, but I think I’ll go check with the Sawyers and see if they know anything. Thanks again, Daniel.” Giving a short wave, she pushed through the door.
Sliding behind the wheel of her car, she whispered a prayer that Dad would either be home when she drove back by or that the Sawyers would know where he is.
Find out What happens next in Faith in the valley book 5: ring of suspicion ~ coming soon! The second book I’m writing is a stand-alone novel, though, still based in Cascade Valley. It’s the story of Yosephine Timmons, Chance Timmons’ sister. Most of y’all remember Chance, he was the hero of book 3, Protective Secrets. Yosephine is a Messianic girl who owns Yosephine’s Book Corner in the small town of Cascade Valley. Both the cover and the title of this book is still a work-in-progress, but for now it’s called Dangerous Reading.

Here’s an exclusive sneak peek:
“Stop struggling,” Raziel Cohen told the woman in a hushed tone.
Still, she struggled and did her best to get free of his grasp while maintaining the grip on her tote. “Let me go!” she demanded.
Taking a quick glance over his shoulder, he made sure the man hadn’t followed them yet. Then he urged her into an empty hospital room and held her slender shoulders. “Listen to me, we need to get out of here. There’s a dangerous man in the building, who will go to extreme measures to get me and you out of the way.”
The woman stilled beneath his touch and her complexion lightened. “What are you talking about?”
He peeked out of the room to survey the area before continuing. “There’s not enough time to explain right now. You’re just going to have to trust me. We’re both in danger. What’s the quickest way out of here?”
With a skeptical look in her eyes, she simply stared at him for a long moment before nodding. “Follow me.”
A small sigh of relief left his lungs. “Thank you!” He followed her toward the elevator. But when he heard hurried footsteps, he tugged her into the stairs beside it. “Hurry,” he urged quietly.
Though the lady seemed reluctant, she followed his lead. She matched his speed step for step. Their footsteps echoed down the stairwell, intensifying his heart-rate. Finally, they burst through the door that would take them outside.
The stairwell’s door burst open after they made it a few yards away from it, letting Raziel know their pursuer was right behind them. He pulled the lady into a full out sprint toward the exit. Shoving the door open, they exited into the darkening daylight. Lightning streaked the sky and thunder roared, causing his adrenaline to course faster through his body.
“This way!” He nearly shouted at the woman, seconds before the crackling of a gunshot pierced the air above their heads.
The lady screamed in fear. Most likely she only just realized the danger they were in was very real. He picked up the pace. His truck was only a few yards ahead. A couple more shots buzzed by them. Too close! Reaching the truck, he tossed her tote in the bed and practically shoved her into the passenger seat. Before she had the chance to think about buckling, he was peeling out of the hospital’s parking lot and heading out of town.
find out what happens next in dangerous reading ~ coming soon!Until next time, my readers!

Book Review: Hey God, Can We Talk? Real-life God Encounters for Real-Life Circumstances by Sarah Bowling – Guest Post by Lyvita Brooks
Shalom, everyone! Dani here, and I am so pleased to welcome Lyvita Brooks today! I hope her book review will be a blessing to you all! So without further ado, please welcome today’s guest post author, Lyvita!
Book Review Written by Lyvita Brooks: Hey God, Can We Talk? Real-life God Encounters for Real-Life Circumstances by Sarah Bowling
Hey God, Can We Talk? Real-life God Encounters for Real-Life Circumstances by Sarah Bowling is about confronting your fears of talking to God and ways to overcome those fears.
How many times do we have to be reminded that praying is talking to God and talking to God is praying? So, why do we still have a tendency to be afraid to talk to God? There could be many reasons but after reading, Hey God Can We Talk? Real-Life Encounters for Real-Life Circumstances, I found it to be helpful. It provides experiences and examples on how to confront one’s fears of talking/praying to God.
“What’s a Conversation with God?” that’s the first question this book discusses. We often think that we are talking to a God who is too big to be bothered with our minuscule concerns. And yet, that’s all God wants to do is have a conversation with us. If only we would sit still long enough to hear from Him, without the music, TV, and voices of others, we’ll begin to enjoy our alone times with God.
One of the best parts of this book are the Conversation Starters. It provides examples of how to start a personalized conversation with God until you are ready to go it alone. The author, Sarah Bowling, shares her and others’ experiences talking with God during different seasons of their lives. Then how to confront those fears around talking with God, instead of to God.
In chapter 6, Sarah describes a friend’s meltdown which turned into a discussion of accusations and of questioning God. I know I have. And yet, we all likely have in some way or another. This chapter teaches you how to change your questions of demanding God to explain or justify Himself to asking questions that will draw you closer to Him. True this will take practice and time. That’s where the Conversation Starters come in handy.
I like how the author uses the word “talk” instead of “prayer”. This changes our traditional understanding of “praying”. It allows us to understand that God talks to us when we pray. He not only listens but speaks…a conversation…and we need to be still enough to hear Him.
Hey, God Can We Talk? is one of those books that you can learn from and grow as you need it. Begin by reading through the Table of Contents and identifying the chapter that resonates with you. The read it and practice the Conversation Starter, as suggested by the author, and as the Lord leads, move on to another chapter. This is not a book you need to complete at one sitting. It is a book to apply in different seasons of your life. So take your time.

The Ultimate Secret To Rise Up No One Has Ever Told You Yet – Guest Post With Heroes Bible Trivia
Shalom everyone! Dani here! It is my pleasure to introduce you to this guest post from the creators of Heroes Bible Trivia. I pray that you’ll enjoy it and the God will speak to you through it.
The Ultimate Secret To Rise Up No One Has Ever Told You Yet
Everybody wants to be successful in life. We want to improve and do better than yesterday.
This blog will talk about how you can rise and achieve more in life by following this one simple thing.
What is it?
It’s prayer.
You see, a lot of Bible characters have proven and tested this habit. True enough, they had become successful in whatever they did—from winning impossible wars to sleeping with the lions and coming out alive the next day.
Let’s dive deeper into what their prayer format looks like, and how praying helped them succeed in their day-to-day challenges.
Prayer Testimonies From Successful Bible HeroesEstherHave you experienced being caught up in a life-threatening situation? And there is nothing left to do but to PRAY?
Esther did.
Did you know that she was faced with an enormous challenge as the king requested all Jews to be dead? How can she be successful at a time like this? Esther gathered her people together for praying and fasting.
Recorded in Esther 4:16 (KJV) was her statement: “Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.”
What great faith!
When you’re stuck up in whatever you’re doing, be it study, work, or your business, try praying. Just like Esther, God will definitely use your circumstance to make you successful.
DanielThere was a guy in the Old Testament who was regarded as a man of prayer. He became a slave and was put into a lion’s den, but God protected him.
Why? Because he was a prayerful man.
If you were Daniel, you would have asked God, “Lord, why me?”
But, Daniel reacted otherwise.
He knew that God would help him in his situation, and that He would use him to spread His love to the people in Babylon.
Daniel 2:27-28 (KJV) describes Daniel as one great man.
It says, Daniel answered the king and said, “No wise men, enchanters, magicians, or astrologers can show to the king the mystery that the king has asked, 28 but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream and the visions of your head as you lay in bed are these:”
What made Daniel successful was that he gave God all the credit. Even in the darkest days of his life, he always talked to God and asked him for guidance.
Because of his prayer habit, he became chief administrator of the whole Medo-Persian kingdom!
Daniel knew that his strength is limited, but he also knew that His God is limitless!
DavidWe’re all aware of God’s description of David as “a man after God’s own heart.”
Wow!
How did he manage to have such a close connection with God?
Just like any of us, David was flawed and full of mistakes. But what made him a man after God’s own heart was that he is prayerful.
David had constant communication with God throughout his life. He had a good sense of when to speak and when to listen. Before the Lord, he understood when to remain silent and quiet. He realized when it was time to admit his mistake.
He recognized when it was time to speak the truth about who God is. He understood when to just be honest with God and open out his heart.
Psalms 51:10 (KJV) says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
David’s prayer was selfless and submissive.
He had a feeling of peace in his heart after earnest repentance and a deep conversation with God, and he recognized that God had already forgiven him.
How we pray indeed matters. What kind of conversation do we have with God? Is the majority of what they say whining and complaining? Is it possible that our prayers are self-centered and full of self-pity?
David’s prayer life reminds us of the beauty of daily surrendering ourselves to God through prayer.
JosephJoseph was sold as a slave and wrongfully imprisoned.
And despite all these, he still prayed?
Genesis 39:2-4 (KJV) describes how Joseph is with his relationship with God.
It says, “And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.”
God used Joseph to manage Egypt and save people from hunger as a result of his dedicated prayer life.
You see, all his sacrifices and hurdles were not in vain. He became one of the greatest leaders in Egypt and was able to feed his family and save them from famine.
Whatever your circumstances are today, realize that the God who brought Joseph from rags to riches loves you, too.
And He will do the same today, this time, with you.
JesusWhy would Jesus pray when He and God the Father are very close with each other?
He was with the Father before the earth was created. Why would He need to consult God when He was well aware of His own desire and purpose?
Jesus might have skipped the prayer and gone straight to saving you and me.
But, no.
According to Luke 5:16 (KJV), “And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.”
Jesus stayed in touch with his Father’s goal and purpose by spending time with Him on a daily basis.
Why?
Because He wants to be the EXAMPLE of how this ULTIMATE SECRET may help you succeed!
Jesus spent His time here on earth praying and succeeded in saving you and me.
Isn’t that reason enough for you to rekindle your prayer life, too?
How Can Prayer Make YOU Successful?Does praying actually work?
We all know that hard effort is the key to success, but what role does prayer play?
It helps you see how your day will look like.Oprah Winfrey has said in the past that she prays every morning.
“My prayer to God every morning on my knees is that the power of the universe should use my life as a vessel, or a vehicle, for its work.” Oprah says in Warren Cassell’s book “O’Habits”.
Psalms 5:3, KJV says, “My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”
Build in time for prayer, meditation, or just some devoted quiet time to reflect on your life, career, and objectives if you want to be successful. You can do this one day at a time.
It will give you peace of mind.George Washington believed in a God who answered prayers and provided for human needs. According to him, “By the all mighty dispensations of Providence, I have been protected beyond all human possibility or expectation.”
He considered prayer as the source of his peace despite the challenges and battles he faced as America’s president.
Philippians 4:6-7, KJV states, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Like George Washington, we also have our fair share of struggles in life. But, we are assured that prayer can give us the peace and confidence to win each of them. It worked for him, and it will definitely work out for you, too!
It keeps you humble.Successful people are humble people.
Kevin Durant, a world-renowned, successful, NBA player star, shared his personal experience regarding prayer and his personal relationship with God.
He said, “Many days I kinda pinch myself and say that any day this can all be gone. I know that if I start to get a big head, my mom and others are going to do a great job of bringing me back down to size. I have the best support system with God above and His Word within me as well as a great team of coaches, family, friends and mentors all circling me. I’m in pretty good hands…I believe!”
Despite all his achievements in life, he remained humble and kept his feet grounded as he recognized God as the source of everything that he has. That’s one characteristic of a successful person!
Are You Ready To Rise Up and Live A Successful Life? Now that you know the ultimate secret to a successful life, are you ready to live it?
Our desire for you today is that you will experience a life patterned in His will for you through faithful, consistent prayer.
