Here’s the blurb!
TRUST NO ONE!
Running for her life, Joyce Watson has a very short list of people she can trust-God and herself. Because she has discriminating evidence against him, her pursuer will go to extreme measures to silence her before it’s turned over to authorities. Despite the nosy sheriff living on the property, hunkering down at an isolated guest ranch feels like the safest option. Drawn to the handsome sheriff, she struggles to keep her heart under lock and key. What if he’s working for her enemy and plotting a way to capture her?
Sheriff Isaac Sawyer can’t help but feel suspicious of the Cascade Valley Guest Ranch’s newest lodger. It’s clear she’s hiding something, but what? Her bright, blue eyes are so full of fear, his heart longs to take care of her; but Joyce doesn’t trust him. Can he win her trust before her fears become reality? Will he be able to protect her without risking his heart?
Murder, secrets, and danger throw Isaac and Joyce together. They must learn to trust God and each other to overcome the dark clouds of peril circling around them. Will evil prevail, or will God pull them through and kindle a love both believe is impossible?
Seeking Refuge, coming this winter!

Thanksgiving
Howdy Y’all!
Ruby Mae here and if you’re like me, you’re getting ready for Thanksgiving this Thursday. Whether it be travelling to visit family, grocery shopping, or even prepping food for the big day, I’m sure you’re busy as I am.
But please take a moment to ask yourself, “Am I getting too wrapped up in the holiday and forgetting to be thankful?”
God says, “In every thing give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
I mean sure, Thanksgiving is a day set aside to celebrate thanksgiving and gratefulness. But what about all those other days God commands us to give thanks on? Are we celebrating thanks on those as well? Be honest.
Friend, I urge you to take part of this challenge with me. I’m calling it, The Thanksgiving Dedication Challenge. Here’s how it works:
Set aside a time every morning to simply pray and thank God for all He’s done in your life.
Make a point to say “Thank You” every time someone does something for you. Even if you normally wouldn’t or think it’s silly.
End every day with a word of thanks in prayer.
I hope y’all will join me.
Many Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving!

Book Review: Blind Spot by Dani Pettrey
Blind Spot is a fantastic thriller with the right touch of romance added in. Dani does an excellent job with the settings and characters in this story. I can’t wait to get my hands on book one in this series! If it’s suspenseful romance your after, you need to read this book! It’s brilliant!

Seeing God’s Beauty
Howdy, Y’all!
Ruby Mae here! Hope everyone is having a blessed week so far. I don’t know about y’all, but Katie’s post last week really inspired me. Having courage to do God’s will is hard sometimes–especially when you’re not seeing God’s beauty. So today, as a follow up to Katie’s lovely post, I’d like to talk about, seeing God’s beauty.
Following God’s will for our lives is easy when it’s all sunshine and rainbows, when everything seems to be going our way and everything seems right in the world. We praise and worship God. Our smile never seems to fade. And there doesn’t seem to be a care in the world.
But then, the storm rolls over the horizon. Bringing with it, unforgiving dark clouds of disrepair and sorrow. Rain drops of worry blur our view of our loving Saviour. Lightning and thunderings out sound the voice of the Holy Spirit. Our easy path God laid before us to follow is now washed away with fear and doubt. How are we to follow God now?
Friends, all is not lost. God is just testing our perseverance and our Spiritual eyesight. He wants to see how loyal we are to Him and His will for us. He wants to see us buckle down and press on for Him. He wants us to see the beauty of the storm.
How is a storm beautiful, you ask? Allow me to repaint the picture of the storm illustrated above: When hardships come, God rushes in to cheer us on, leaving clouds of dust in His wake. He pours out drops of mercy, love, comfort, and showers of blessings upon us. Lightnings, magnificent brushstrokes of light by the Master, to illuminate our way. Thunderings, God’s booming voice, letting us know where He is so we can run to Him and be safe. Our path we thought was washed away was merely being polished to brighten our walk and testimony for Christ.
You see, there’s beauty in every thing a Child of God goes through during our Christian walk. So next time the storm rolls in, don’t fear, simply breathe and enjoy the journey through God’s magnificent masterpiece He’s created especially for you. Press on toward that High calling of God’s will and watch God Bless you for it.
Many Blessings,
Ruby Mae
