Livin’ With The Light On

Howdy Y’all!

Ruby Mae here! I can hardly believe Chanukah starts at sunset tomorrow! We’ll be lighting the first candle on the menorah tomorrow evening. We’ll read about the miracles of Chanukah, recite the blessings, have an opening feast, and open a gift while thoroughly enjoying each other’s company. Ah, what a wonderful time.

On a more serious note, we will begin examining our lives for Christ. And this year, I’m proud to say, we’re kicking off the Feast of Rededication with an amazing praise report. One of my brothers, the eldest of the boys, made a profession of faith last night giving his heart to God! Isn’t that an awesome start to this year’s Holy Day? Amen! Thank You, Yeshua! Praise God!

Now, I hope y’all will keep us in your prayers as we are celebrating Chanukah. For we are determined to rekindle our flames for Christ Yeshua and live life with our lights burning brightly for Him. Y’all know as much as I do, living with our lights on in this dark, dark world is anything but easy. It’s right down difficult. So please, keep us in your prayers.

Here’s a few things for those wondering, how can we live with our light on?:

Spend time in Yahweh’s presence.
Meditate and study His inspired Word.
Prayer time is essential.
Keep your heart and conscience clean by confessing known sin in your life to Him and seeking His forgiveness.
Be quick to hear and slow to speak. The biggest way we affect people are with our words, whether spoken, written, or signed.
Pray for others.
Be quick to show love and kindness. Even and especially to those we feel don’t deserve it.
Walk away from arguments. We don’t have to and shouldn’t attend every argument we are invited to.
Importantly, place your trust and faith in Yahweh and I’m alone. We are in the flesh, we are going to mess up. The only way we can be and do good is by allowing Yahweh full control of our life and He will do good through us.

Many Blessings and Happy Chanukah!
