November 6th 2022 Update

There’s not much to really talk about this week. I’m taking some time to rest and relax, and will likely be starting on the next Eve of Destruction book during the coming week. Otherwise, I’m just preparing things for the release of Talyn: Descent in a couple of weeks.

October 30th 2022 Update

Good news, Talyn: Descent is done (on my end) and off to the editor! The Pre-Order is Live, and I’ve scheduled the release for November 21st. I might, might have been able to schedule it earlier, but I’d rather have room for delays than to be overly optimistic and have to push things back.

I’m pleased with the book, as it met the goals I had for what would occur, and I feel that it progresses Talyn’s story significantly, giving her a solid foundation for future stories. Hopefully you all enjo...

October 23rd 2022 Update

I’m home, and Talyn: Descent is done with the first editing pass, and I’m going to be working on the next this week. I don’t have the pre-order up yet, but once I have a schedule from my editor I’ll be putting one up. With any luck, it’ll be early to mid November.

October 9th 2022 Update

I’ve completed the rough draft of Talyn: Descent, with just over 132,000 words. It’s likely going to need some revisions, but I managed to get it done before my vacation! I consider that rather important, even if I ran myself ragged doing it. Probably introduced more errors, too, which means the editing is even more important.

October 2nd 2022 Update

Talyn: Descent is up to about 106,000 words, and I’m hoping to finish the rough draft this week. I’m not sure if I can, but I’d like to finish it before I go on vacation for a week. It’s going to be a near thing, honestly. I’m pretty happy with how it’s going, though! I might be able to get it out in November, but… no promises just yet. This vacation is screwing with scheduling a lot.

September 25th 2022 Update

Talyn: Descent is up to ~87,500 words, and I think there’s good odds that I’ll get about the same amount done this coming week. I’m guessing I’ll finish the rough draft in two weeks, but that depends in part on how the plot proceeds. If it takes longer than I expected, then it’s possible that I’ll have to finish it after my vacation. We shall see!

September 18th 2022 Update

I kept up some of my extra writing, and Talyn: Descent is up to ~72,500 words! I’m growing hopeful that I might be able to finish the rough draft of it before my October vacation. I don’t have a huge amount of faith in that, but I’m hopeful!

Beyond that we’re in one of my usual lulls. A few pieces of art are in the works, but they’re taking a little longer than I’d hoped to finish so I can share them, including a replacement cover for Mistress of Chaos. Things seem to be going relatively well...

September 11th 2022 Update

Talyn: Descent is up to about 57,500 words, which means I’m making progress at getting a little ahead for my vacation next month. I’m not sure exactly how long the book will be, but I’m expecting the cover art will take until late October anyway, and I’m not sure about my editors schedule just yet. Either way, I’ve been having a blast with a bunch of the characters Talyn has met, including someone who showed up in the epilogue of Talyn: Rebirth.

September 4th 2022 Update

Since my wife had a long weekend coming up, I did some extra work this past week to get ahead on Talyn: Descent, so I’m up to ~42,500 words, and I’m really having fun with what’s happening in the book! I’m not sure when it’ll be done just yet, but I’m hoping to have it edited and finished by the end of November. Not promises, though, since holiday season in the USA is coming up.

Beyond that, I don’t have a lot to say this week. Books are coming along well, I think, and I think that I’m stabil...

August 28th 2022 Update

Mistress of Chaos has been doing pretty well, and I’m happy to see that most people seem to like it! I’ve got some fun ideas for the next book, but it’s going to be a bit before I get to it. I really need to come up with a title… Daughter of Chaos seems like the most likely one at this point in time.
