The uncharted waters of healing
Often healing is a slow, steady process. It is complex, not linear. It takes as long as it takes. And most of the time that is much longer than we wish it was.
But like all things in nature, there is a mysterious intelligence to it. And if we trust it and let the preciously vibrant petals fall to the earth, cut back what is no longer and then protect the new shoots and buds from being pried open, we may just find ourselves in a second bloom. And fruit will follow. You can’t manufacture that. We must trust the great mystery in the process.
I’ve been in a deep healing process for much longer than I wish I was. I’ve never been through anything like this. Perhaps you are too?
There was a moment during the birth of my son when I saw the protective barricades I had erected around each and every cell blast open. All borders were smashed to smithereens and scattered in all corners of the Earth. These ways of being that had served me at one time could not come with me into motherhood and mid-life.
I didn’t know it at the time but what would follow was deep and uncharted. And while I can now see the sea from the shore, those waters are still choppy. Past traumas have surfaced and it has felt difficult to navigate without a clearly defined map. So I am creating a map as I go. Perhaps you are too?
While it has felt difficult, I must accept that at the very same time deep miracles have occurred. Answers to questions I’ve been living into for many years. My chronic health condition has eased and I feel physically better than I have for over 20 years. And I have never felt more supported by my inner circle. What a miracle. And this is the thing about healing, it is not linear. It is not for the faint hearted. It requires deep courage, faith and support.
A wise elder once said to me that the secret to truly living is to allow yourself to die over and over again while you are still alive. That has always stuck with me. Globally we are going through that right now, collectively we are going through that right now. Societally we are going through that right now. Within relationships we are going through that right now. Perhaps personally we are going through that right now.
Perhaps the question is, are we willing to stay open enough to let those old, protective ways of being die in order to find a new, deeper connection (which is really what healing is) that is built on more stable, steady, loving, nourishing ground for all? Or do we desperately want things to stay the same because we are afraid of what is on the other side?
Healing is happening. It is different for all of us. It will take as long as it takes. But if we find a way to trust the process, this old world may birth another world for us all.
Love,

We are like flowers
Maybe flowers are here to teach us how to be human.
How to unashamedly embrace our true nature, no matter how different or beautiful.
To realize that we’re not meant to look or sound or act the same.
That diversity isn’t just important but necessary for Life.
To keep remembering that there’s a sacred timing to things, that there’s enough room for everyone, and that it’s impossible to bloom all year round.
Maybe flowers are here to teach us how to be human.
To stand tall like the poppy and strong like the thistle.
To be resilient, like heather, and reach our roots deep like the fig.
To defy the norm, like the hawthorn.
To courageously open through our fears wholeheartedly, like the peony.
To be unapologetic, like the passionflower.
To remember our sweet innocence, like jasmine.
To take a leap and go first, like the daffodil.
To be willing to risk it all, like cherry blossom.
To know it’s never too late, like the winter rose.
To trust the changing seasons of our life, like the hydrangea.
Some of us are here to inspire, like the garden rose.
Others are here to activate and protect, like the crown of thorns.
Some are sensitive, like the orchid.
Others are here to leave a mark, like the lily.
Yes, perhaps that’s what flowers are here to teach us:
How to be our unique selves on planet Earth.

NAVIGATING THE INNER WINTER
The rose knows how to let who they are die for the chance of their becoming. It throws its petals to the fertile void surrendering the very thing that captivated others to them, for the promise of this becoming.
The past few years I have been aware that I have been in the fertile void that I have come to call the inner winter. Maybe you have too? I first felt the invitation of descent the morning of my 36th birthday. I saw the black Madonna in the mountains of Switzerland that day and was given a rose gold onyx ring that belonged to my Great Great Grandmother Madeline. I put it on my right ring finger and never took it off as if a silent vow had been taken.
Now, some years on, I am beginning to make out on the horizon the most beautiful blessings that have been woven in through the tugging and stretching of the heart. And as so often happens, I am seeing how it is the most challenging moments that have returned me more deeply to myself again and again.

The starlings returning to the reeds to sleep in the winter at Ham Wall, Somerset
Never before have I been more sure of the mystery than I am right now. Never before have I felt the tension of the opposites of life on Earth more than I have now. Never before have I felt so much love for humanity and so much sadness. Never before have I felt closer to and yet so far apart from loved ones. Never before have I felt so much love, compassion and holding from the Goddess for myself and humanity as a whole than I do today.
A couple of years back I said to a friend, the only thing I seem to be able to speak about in my workshops is flowers and the beauty of nature as gateways to the soul. And little by little this call to return to the earth, this descent to truly plant myself, ourselves here with urgency has been coming through stronger and stronger.
With every passing day the Grandmothers seem to be calling me to reach deeper and deeper into the sure soil of the earth. To realise that it is impossible to seed the future rose gardens that whisper within without the deep cloak of winter.

A frozen web woven in the ancient yew trees in Glastonbury
Writing has increasingly been my nectar the past few years, but I haven’t shared too much of it just yet as I have been so deep in my process. My book Returning is 80,000 words in but is still being woven and I think there is some more living for me to do before the threads all come together.
In the middle of its conception I began writing another book that had been with me for some years but the timing was not quite right. That book, which will now be my third, is called Letters to a Starseed and will be out in the world officially on May 18th!
It is an invitation to be home here. To plant ourselves here. To unlock the mystery of who we are as a soul, remember why we have come and to commit to being here.
It went to print last week and is my most favourite cover yet! I will be sharing more about it on Instagram in the coming weeks.

Snow drops in the glastonbury abbey
It has been a very long winter here in the UK. And, each morning as I wake, I can hear the flowers very faintly beginning to sing.
I do believe that this is a challenging moment for humanity. I also believe that never before has there been a bigger opportunity for us to return to each other, ourselves and the earth than there is now. That deep, lasting healing is possible. That genuine unity is possible amidst all of this, perhaps even because of all of this. And that you, me, we all chose to be here for this very moment in the timeline of humanity. So do whatever you need to to seed those future rose gardens and forests, be daring and plant them all the way in.

OUR 2020 INITIATIVES
2020 was a year like no other. The great invitation for me last year was to step even more deeply into the energy of service and devotion. Service and devotion have been core values for my company since it was founded, and influence all of the decisions we make. I wanted to share a little bit about what my team and I did last year to further honour this.
In January, when the wildfires broke out in Australia we set up a donation fund supporting New South Wales Rural Fire Services + Brigades. I donated personally and had an amazing response from my online community; together we donated over fifteen thousand pounds.
When the pandemic first hit and many countries around the world went into lockdown, we hosted 21 free devotional gatherings. We also offered 50 free monthly memberships to members of our community who had been badly financially impacted by the pandemic.
In May we donated 100% of profits from the Rise Sister Rise Membership to grass roots movements, NGOs and individuals fighting for racial justice and protecting indigenous communities and wisdom around the world. We continue to support these organisations.
I spent a lot of last year having conversations with organisations I work with in an effort to use my influence to bring about justice and change.
I also committed to donating my time to mentor three amazing women share their voice through birthing their books into the world through the Hay House Diverse Wisdom initiative in the UK.
In November we awarded six scholarships to my Work Your Light Online Course and Community. Every year we award free scholarships to the course to entrepreneurs and creatives who are experiencing financial hardship and do not have the means to purchase it. In 2020 we had a record number of applications so, due to the impact of the global pandemic, we decided to offer double the amount of scholarships than previous years.
This year I am being called more and more deeply into the natural world and so we are looking to also focus on supporting and protecting our natural environment as well as many local grass roots organisations.

The codes of the seeds
Seeds must be buried in the darkness before they can bloom into the light.
Seeds cannot even begin to bloom without embracing the fertile void of the winter soil.
Seeds cannot flower without first outgrowing the constraints of the bud.
Seeds cannot bare fruit without releasing their beauty to the earth and letting go of the very thing that captivated others to them.
Seeds come in knowing exactly what to do. Within them they hold the potential of entire forests and rose gardens.
Seeds have within them an intelligent timing that is connected with the intelligence of the entire cosmos.
We are all seeds.
Future forests and gardens waiting to be born.
Each of us holding the codes of a new yet ancient humanity within us.
Change is our natural state. Seeds must be buried in the darkness before they can bloom into the light.

Some of the things that I believe
I believe that being in nature is one of the quickest ways to connect to our soul and that all people are intuitive because to be intuitive is to be human.
I believe that as humans we do not just exist in nature, rather we are nature. And that when we separate ourselves from nature we also separate ourselves from our own human nature and each other.
I believe that the home of the soul in our human body is the heart and so when we connect with our heart or come from a place of compassion we are connecting with the soul.
I believe that one of the greatest gifts you could ever give another being is to properly see the soul behind their eyes and the human path that they have walked.
I believe that our soul is connected to the intelligence of everything in the Universe and that by spending time connecting with it and asking it to lead us we can align ourselves with the pulse of Life.
I believe that all bodies and people and beings and consciousness on the planet is sacred and holy, and that one of the biggest tragedies of our human history is somewhere along the way we stopped seeing the sacred that is woven through Life itself and in all beings within it.
I believe that we are cyclic beings living in a cyclic world, constantly moving through inner and outer seasons and thus we were never meant to be in full bloom all year round.
I believe that these are extremely divisive times and that we are all being called to return to our humanity while also standing up for what we believe in. And that we are to find our way back to each other, the Earth and all it’s beings.
I believe that we all have a part to play at this time and that only we know what our part and path is.
I believe that this life is but a breath in the journey of the soul, and that the things that keep us up at night now may not actually be the things that we will see as important as we take our last breath.
I believe that sacred sites, trees and stones of all cultures and traditions should be honoured, protected and revered.
I believe that indigenous lives matter, that black lives matter, that brown lives matter, that Asian lives matter, that queer lives matter, that trans lives matter.
I believe that we all have ancestors and that if we reach back far enough we can connect to wise ones from times past and receive their wisdom.
I believe that many of us are being called to have uncomfortable conversations with people we are in relationship with right now, and that compassion is more important now than it has ever been before.

Messenger
Sirius energy. Bringing harmony and balance.
You’re part of the lineage of souls who have dedicated their lifetimes to the upliftment of the planet. To returning time and again to seed the light. The crystalline ones. The ones who are here to plant the sacredness of life back in. To honor both the sacred feminine and masculine. To usher deep reverence back in.
Many Ascended Masters are thought to be connected to the energy of Sirius. Often appearing as a shade of blue, they hold the frequency of pure love and are here to help the masculine and feminine exist in harmony. To ensure greater balance. To help us see that we’re all connected and that the masculine and feminine energies exist within us all.
You’re being called to bring about this balance and harmony between the masculine and feminine. To be a guardian of harmony and balance on Earth. Think of the whales traveling around the globe, sharing love through their healing, vibrational song. Their unique notes send balance and harmony to every corner of the planet.
A rebalancing of the masculine and feminine is occurring worldwide. It’s a resurgence of the sacred man and woman. A returning of the sacred union. A rekindling of heaven and Earth. You can begin to bring harmony and balance by creating it in your own life – the ripples will flow from there. You can honor and balance the sacred masculine and feminine energies within yourself and others.

A little bit about me
I haven’t done one of these introduction posts here before but love reading them and haven’t posted on here for such a long time and my baby is actually asleep for once, so here goes.
I’m a new mum to a strong willed sweet baby boy called Sunny and a chug called Shakti. I gave birth to my son a year ago in my living room and haven’t slept through the night since!
For as long as I can remember I have been consumed by the mysteries of life. Giving birth to my son planted me more deeply into the earth than I ever expected.
I struggle to name what I do but if I had to name it I would say I am a writer. As a girl I struggled with English but used to write to process my feelings and feel connected. In doing so I discovered how to connect with my soul. To date, most of the time I am writing I am writing to myself. To help move through something. I share it to help anyone else who might be going through something similar.
I believe that we are ALL intuitive and absolutely anyone can develop a relationship with their soul. I believe that our soul is connected to everything in both nature and the cosmos and by spending time with it and acting on its calls we can little by little find our way back ourselves, nature and each other.
It’s taken me a long time to name it but I think my mission is to weave the soul back into everyday life. Since I was a young girl I yearned for the reconnection of our humanness and our divinity without really being able to put words around it. The more I learn the more I am certain of the mystery itself.
I believe that all humans are sacred and that every body is holy. I have deep respect for all faiths and paths and yet personally have not found one path that speaks the language of the God/dess that I know in my heart.
I believe that we are living in a time of extreme change and that all the soul work in the world is a waste of time without taking grounded action to bring about consistent change. I believe that in order to truly work our light we need to be willing to journey into the shadows. I am a big believer in taking baby steps and have found that it takes a lot of faith and action to live a soul-led life.
I’m a fast walker who is learning to slow down, a coffee drinker who is studying herbalism. Born in Australia I now live in Glastonbury UK and think that maybe I feel at home here because it is the land of my ancestors. When I was 18 I worked five jobs to save enough money to afford a flight to the UK and traveled to the sacred sites of Scotland, England and Ireland. Looking back I feel such compassion for myself and am really proud that I let myself be led.
It’s taken me a long time to admit it but I talk to flowers and trees and my favourite spiritual practice is being in nature. I believe that we do not exist in nature, rather we actually ARE nature. And my number one teacher is and always has been Mother Earth.
I believe that she is teaching us how to be human every moment of every day and that if we each looked to the flowers and the diversity of the natural world around us we would remember our own true nature and embrace who we are and each other a lot more.
I believe we are all unique with a different note to play in the song of life. I believe that it is our differences that make us better. And that you being here on the planet right now matters.
I believe that no one is a higher authority of who you are and what your soul is calling you to do more than you. I believe we all have a role to play in this time of re-orchestration but only we know our role.
I mostly share my writing and poetry on here and am currently writing a book called Returning.
I believe that we are not for everybody and that it is in embracing our weirdness that we each light up the world with our presence.

Plant Yourself Here
Plant yourself here.
Invite your soul to come all of the way in.
From your your knees to your nose, your cheeks to your toes.
Fully embody your life. Drop the defensive walls.
Let your soul land and occupy each and every mitochondria cell.
Anchor all parts of you into the here and now.
Life is here even when death is here.
Birth is not possible without it.
And you came here to birth this world anew, don’t you remember?
Fully commit to living this life.
Put your two feet and your ancient soul wholly and completely in.
Plant yourself here.

Loosen Your Grip
Coping mechanisms. Density. Addiction.
Let God in. We’re cyclic beings, and Mother Earth teaches us how to be human every day with the coming and going of the tides and the seasons. If you’re clinging to anything, you’re resisting the natural flow of who you are. The things we cling to are those we most need to let go of: the food, the substances, the relationship, the job, the people-pleasing…
The things we cling to often cover up our most vulnerable space – the part we’re most afraid to leave empty; the part we guard and don’t let God into. But by keeping that space covered with something that doesn’t serve us, or clinging to it for fear of it not staying of its own accord, we prevent ourselves from receiving the things that will. A Course in Miracles tells us: ‘Whatever we leave empty, grace will fill.’ And the Buddha said: ‘You can only lose what you cling to.’ Indeed, both are true.
If this card appears, you’re being called to find the courage to loosen your grip and give up control. To release your coping mechanisms and leave space for grace and God to enter. To surrender all that feels dense to the divine.
Loosening your grip doesn’t mean that what you’re clinging to will go away. It may. Or it might stay. But you can be sure that what is for you, will find you. And you’ll breathe easier knowing that you’ve shifted from relying on your own strength to surrendering to the grace of life.
