Boil water notice Ireland
The boil water notice is in ⚠️HIGH ALERT⚠️ again.
Is this imagination or is it intuition? Stay with me for a second or two.
Heavy serious flooding and some flash flooding has been occurring due to the never ending poxy rain. You have seen it on some of the roadsides where the fields are flooding out brown muddy water on to the roads within minutes of the rains pouring down.
These muddy contaminates find there way into the water systems and often in flooding times more silt can be found in waterways, more than normal at least. These silts and the likes or even grains of mud for an easier way to to think of it, these grains can begin to clog up filters rapidly and is often a cause for water shortages and outages of service in times of heavy rains. Sometimes people can never understand, why when it is raining flat out is there a water shortage? These silts clogging stuff up in a very rapid fashion can be a major cause.
Remembering that in Ireland the rains seem to go on and on for ever. It is also important that I bring up a second point. Here we are in Ireland and the rains are beating the windows out of it and the water has been contaminated. A boil water notice has been issued for more the half a million homes (it sounds a lot more when we say half a million). The reports are used over and over again to say 600 thousand. Nobody will get frantic hearing 600 anything. Say a half a million and just hearing these mind boggling million numbers would bring about public outcry over such a farce.
Ahh, now we are getting to the good bit, Public Outcry.
There is a possibility that the guy who is supposed to add the chemicals to the water, the chemicals added to keep your rebel status in check.
If an establishment were to drug the surrounding area by adding chemicals to the water system then the public outcry will be kept at bay. Best and immediate area of focus? Surrounding Dublin area. So while paddy the plumber is adding the chemicals to the water, he went and forgot how much he put in. Of course, Mr. Water service man himself is a little buckled from the nught before (keeping in mind this is Ireland) he goes and forgets how much he put in and so he puts the whole bottle in. Alarms in the water facility are ringing and all a mess and a ⚠️Boil water notice⚠️ is issued.
Nobody is questioning what is going on with the water. With all the potential for protests and complete anarchy in this beautiful country of Ireland, it only makes sense that the water must be drugged. How else can 600 thousand homes be so pleasant to sit back and watch the entire country fall further down the slippery slope and their main concern is running to the shop to buy bottled water. Mind you, there was a couple of bottled waters recalled recently too from the shop shelves. So the orchestration of "drugging" the population has been set in motion even before this by removing bottled water from the shelves previously and then issue a boil water notice as the drunken water facility guy has spilled too much of the drugs in and the whole thing is hoped that nobody will really take notice.
Many of you have heard of how the French people revolt against the use of fluoride in their water. It is said that fluoride quells the desire to rebel inside of humans. Make us more passive so to speak.
So, playing around with voting in absences in the Dail. Focus on higher wages and bonuses to people in the Dail. All the shady business that goes on & on, in day to day business of the Irish government, let's not even begin on the homeless and the "soup kitchens".
It makes a lot of sense that your water is being messed with and in true Irish fashion "they" cannot even drug you on the sly, properly.
Is this a conspiracy theory? Is this my imagination? Is this intuition?
Go read up a little on the whole thing. Another beauty of the boil water notice is that, this will have people begin to drink more of the water because they think that they have to get more tea now before they become dehydrated.
Keep also in your mind that the surrounding area of the city of Dublin is affected. This 600k homes could mean 1.2 million people or much more. That is a large number of people, nobody wants to see that kind of a rebellion coming, "drug em some more". Might be time to begin making demands of your country and quit putting up with the nonsense. I wonder how many boil notices will begin popping up more frequently once the riots (peaceful peotests😊) get underway.
Food for thought on your Monday evening😊

Socks and their importance.
I titled this piece about socks. Yup socks. Smelly ones and all.
I had no intention of actually jotting down all my thoughts about socks though. Some of them are this, questions mostly.
Does it bother you if you wear two different socks? Like, you have your fav sock and cannot find the other one. Is it then okay to wear one that is very similar just not the identical match?
Some people, I reckon, will not wear socks that do not match. Why in earth is that?
Enough about socks though. I wanted to remind you all that my new book is live and available. The book title is Layman's Handbook.
Sub titled. A journey to SELF.
The self stands for Succeed Elevate Live Free.
Succeed in everything you do. Going beyond even your own beliefs of your own potential. (imagine that for just a second)
Elevate your life to your next level. Some will say "raise your game" . I say go to your next level always. When you think you are there, remember that there is always another level.
Live your life as it has been intended to be. Magical, Wonderful & even possibly superb. Society seduces us to believe in mundain and boring and miserable. Your life is precious and is to be lived.
Free yourself from any torture chambers you have been dwelling in for years. Emotional prison is a "no fun" place to be. Though topping that could be a mental prison where we lock ourselves away. Break free and enjoy how you feel and what you think. You are you, you are perfect, you are unique.
The book is available on Amazon sites in ebook and paperback.
I have been to hell and back and am happy to report on the journey by sharing some of the tools I have learned to use in my own daily living. These are what has helped me gain my appreciation and love for life.
I would appreciate if you can share this post to bring awareness to the #news of my new book which has been released this October 2019.
Layman’s Handbook, in life. Simple tools to change how we live.
I ask not for the sharing to be all for me. Share this post so that others who may not discuss the hardships they face in life. Though with your sharing, the post may reach them and let them know there is a way forward always.
The book was released 10/10/19 World mental health awareness day. (fancy that 😊)
I am now wondering how many people with unmatching socks you will try and notice from this point forward insert another smiley face here ha ha.

Book release day 10/10/19 Layman's Handbook
Oh wow!
It is a great feeling to release a new book. Not hard to explain at all. Excitement and nerves all wrapped up in one.
The excitement is all about knowing that other people will now read what I have written. The nerves part is all about knowing that other people will now read what I have written😊
Something that excites me on a serious note though, I am so happy to have worked hard all year streamlining a new book and today the project is complete. The achievement feeling is a little addictive. And for very good reason too. This is my 4th book ever and though I am a novice in this arena, I love writing it down and sharing with everyone that wishes to read or take part in being involved with my thoughts and my story too. These are great feelings and all attached to the day I have released book number 4.
Another great piece for me as the writer is, how I know that I have a chance to help somebody else. Through my own life I have endured several weird times and I have been to hell and back. Please do not get me wrong, this is not something I boast about like, hey look at me. No not at all. This is something that brings great purpose to my journey. I have encountered some of the finest people in the world and they have thought me many great tricks and tools to survive. I am now able to write these things down and serve them up in book format and hopefully reach anyone who may find even the simplest of days a little difficult.
No more rambling on about it. Here is a link to the book.

New release book 10/10/19
Layman's Handbook, in life. Simple tools to change how we live, (a journey to SELF).
That is basically the title, the subtitle and the real deal.
This is self help in the simplest way I know how.
To write a book that is aimed at helping others, what an undertaking 😊. Of course I can only explain a little here and there as to how I have come to write such a book.
I have been stretched like an elastic band or perhaps better yet like a spring. A spring has its normal position where it will stretch and spring back, the elastic band will do the same, what if you over stretch them? They go out of shape and stay over stretched. This is how I live my life now, overstretched emotionally. The horrid situations that floored me in life have brought about this over stretching.
The good thing is that when stretched to the limits or beyond and then some, there are also nice experiences in life too. Nice things to enjoy and be in awe of. When we have been stretched so far in our emotional being, we begin to see much of the beauty of life also from that wider or more expansive view too.
The horror stories are many and I can fill your day up with a ton of stuff you will find very hard to believe. I have found myself often saying, " I was the guy going through it and I find it hard to believe".
More importantly though are the experiences I have had that are nice. The beauty of life and how we can live as we chose to. These are the better stories to focus on.
Layman's Handbook is #ComingSoon and will be live online, available in paperback & ebook on
10/10/2019.
I do hope many of you will get involved that day and share some posts around the Internet and help kick start a little buzz in the Internet world for the day it goes live. There will be a couple of free prizes for sharing that day.
Promo posts will be on twitter and Facebook, handle there is @TWOsonsTOOmany
Check out some posts and get involved for a day where "Layman's Handbook" is brought into the world and goes public. No point me keeping all these nice things as secrets when so many more people could benefit and begin to enrich their own lives.
Looking forward to the day. Share this post with your friends. Save the date for the online launch. #selfhelp is really all about helping Self.

Layman's Handbook, A journey to SELF. Release date
A new book is born. Layman's Handbook by Aidan Mc Nally, that's me of course.
Writing a book is a challenge and is a great feeling when bringing the pages all together. Frustrating at times, because the writing slacks off at times and at other times it has been all written only to find it is not what you wanted exactly and so, delete.
Any person writing now will perhaps have some similar stories of frustration. All in all though, quite an enjoyable experience.
So what is it all about. The book is about nothing lol. Well nothing really in any particular sort of way.
Layman's Handbook has come about because for my life and lifetime, I have experienced some wierd and whacky shit. Some fabulous times too, please don't get me wrong.
There are many items I have found out or discovered along my own twisting and turning path in life. Yup the big word of LIFE. What use are these insights? Isn't it only fair that I share with you what I have discovered to be a path to self, a type of way in which to reach out and assist any who may find themselves in similar struggles or to use the word "suffer" even.
#LaymansHandbook is a look at some scenarios of how we may deal with, our own life, a view of gaining clarity in our thoughts and an emotional well-being. Through meditation I have found great moments of clarity, due to this fact, I really want to encourage all to try a little as the difficulties in life are not just reserved for a special few, nor did I ever believe something such as loving myself could be a path to a very content and dare I say it happy life.
I first thought to have the words "self help" on the cover and then later decided to remove the word help as it may seem a little intimidating. The title is layman's as this is what I am. Though my experiences in the arena of life are quite vast, I have no official document that says I am anything qualified. Am I an expert in the field of that which I speak on. Yes for sure.
My very own existence proves this to be so.
Also the word "Handbook" in the title. Why use handbook? Well guide or guidebook seemed a little like perhaps something a tourist may wish to read. I had thought of "almanac" might be good, though I believe that is an owned title.
I found myself saying in several conversations, "I never had no book for this shit when I was in school" or "nobody ever thought me this stuff"
I guess that life and the "college of knowledge" really is out there living and experiencing. Hence the title and its sub title. Layman's Handbook, a journey to SELF.
Release day will be October 10th 2019.
Available in kindle ebook and paperback. Here is a link to find more of my writing "stuff" and links to my books. Also a link to the kindle pre order for Layman's Handbook.

The expert in me. What? Friday 13th
Life has happened in a peculiar way for me, myself and I.
The pieces that stick out the most for me are the harder pieces that I have had to drag myself through, there really is no other way to give them words. I have fond memories of many of the beautiful times I have been gifted in this life. I like many of us have also cringed and even today on Friday the 13th I am recalling when I heard myself say "is my life just Friday the 13th all of the time or what?"
Yes it has been a battle of emotional changes and a never ending saga of deeper meanings and learning. When they say every day is a school day, ain't that the truth? Learning about people is one thing, learning how a machine works or the earth moves is another. The learning never stops and learning how to become comfortable with emotions is a whole ride that sometimes I wish I could have never even began to learn about. I say that sometimes because quite simply I am honoured and feel very privileged to have been given the beautiful gift of being able to feel and feel alive. In all the little things and some of the simplest most basics pieces in life, to enjoy these has been a massive reward thus far.
Can you enjoy the little things?
How little do I mean and what is there to enjoy?
I have found that in our life that no matter what the circumstances are around us or in front of us, it will all depend on what it is you say to yourself about them that will matter. Today Friday the 13th can be a day some will fear, a day some look forward to and for others it is just another day. How can that be when everyone is always right all of the time. Right in their thinking, right in their feelings yet just here we can take a basic look and know that there are three ways in which some people will go through Friday the 13th. We can break that down in an instant and see that things are different for everybody.
Here are a few of the times I have had to reinvent myself and rebuild my life. Just like you or anybody these times have built me stronger and better for the experiences. What has made me an expert on feeling content in life and finding the ways to enjoy my time here in the world.
Incarcerated by 17 years of age. Bit of a fast track really. Some of us have never experienced this and some others have waited a while and found the time to screw up a little later on in life. The build up to this and the decisions in life are covered in my book, #memoir 17 & Life, available on Amazon. 17 to 19 were some real digging geep years.
Fathered the world champion son by 20 years of age. Another time when I thought life could not get any better and I had to learn a whole new set of how to be. A time that was full of firsts and the beauty I was beginning to learn how to appreciate.
The wisdom was kicking in back then and I was still learning. What I have learned is that I know not much about anything and a little about a lot of things.
Rather than keep on itemising all the life changing events, it would be fair to say that my own being an expert on how to dissect any given day and find the value that lies within it brings me to the side of how Friday the 13th is a day like any other to be enjoyed as much as possible and when a bump in the road or a scary film character shows up in your window tonight, rest assured you can get through it and it will pass just like all the days that have gone before us.
I have had a time in my life where I met a beautiful woman and was falling in love and enjoyed every piece of it. The feeling zone I was learning about though was about death and grief and some of the nasty taste of life too. One must feel very happy with people around them to balance out having to be a bereaved parent and not just for a one time thing, this has found its way to me on two occasions. I have had the not so pleasurable time of burying my two sons. You can read all about this in my memoir TWO sons TOO many.
We pick ourselves up in life, there are times we look to our friends to pick us up and it might happen a little and it might not. We can find ourselves feeling worse and feel there is nowhere at all to turn. What can bring us through our deep feelings of #Grief? The learning is going on all the time and we can find it a little harder some times to experience a happiness or a contentment. Just like today Friday the 13th though, it is a day, just a day to live through and enjoy. I will provide a link for you to copy and paste and find my website which has links to my writing. Books and short stories along with some poems and blog posts. These are things which may help you on your own journey. This is the expert piece.
I wish to inform you that I have learned how to cry and cry a lot. This has been sometimes with happy emotional tears. There have been times that I have cried for what seemed like endlessly and that has been with great hurt and pain and sorrow. So how does it happen that inside of myself, just simple me. How can it occur to have such a range of emotion and go from happy smiles to gut wrenching tears and of course everything in between. I offer to you an idea or a concept of gaining a little "appreciation". When we appreciate the small things, well it is like the big things can fade away for a while and we manage through some how. To deal with my own grieving I decided to document all the pieces of what I was doing in my writing and compile them together to take a stand back look at what or where I have been emotionally. I compiled this into an ebook and it is called, My Grief, the last three years.
I have found that I want to help others and the basic reason is that helping others is a positive way that I can help myself. Help how?
I cannot do your job for you nor can I take away the pains that you feel. I can only grow with you and help by way of bringing you into my own world and sharing with you the beauty I have found exists. Ways in which we can dig deep inside and find the strength to carryon when all seems to vague and painful. To enjoy our life as we have one go around at it and it is our sole responsibility to ourselves to break free from chains that hold us down. Break out from our prison that we create inside of ourselves. I am due to release a new book this autumn and I do hope you will enjoy my writing work as much as the previous books. This new book coming soon is titled
Layman's Handbook, a journey to self.
It is self help in a sense, and it is a journey.
I hope all of you who read this will take a moment to click the link and check out some of my stuff over on my website and I wish for you guys to spare a moment to share some of my own marketing posts around the Internet.

It is your sharing my posts that helps reach more readers and the key piece of all that is for the people who really need a boost in life or that need a little grounding. I write these books with the hope to enrich your life by helping you come with me on how my journey has been and what it all has meant to find myself sitting here writing this piece to touch on how I have just woke up today Friday the 13th and know it has been through great turmoil and pain that I have grown in to an expert in #life. I may not be an expert in marketing though lol. So I ask you to help in sharing about my new release coming out this autumn as a way to include you in part of my journey as a writer, a way for you to use me to reach your friends who may need that boost.
Thank you for reading and I ask that you click somewhere on social media and share this blog piece or share my website link with your friends.
Thank you and Happy day to you (Friday 13th N' all)

The ALL IRELAND, thoughts
Our national game, the big day when the country gets behind our national sport and cheers for a county team to lift the national cup and gain the bragging rights. The Sam mcguire cup or trophy depending on how you want to call it.
What I think about this is two things that have been just keeping me up at night lately (not).
1. The match will be held in Dublin in the massive expensive stadium that is part of our history as a nation. We Irish have our own island games if you like and this is it. Gaelic football it is known as. The organisation is the backbone of Ireland from as far reaching as the remote rural villages to now today, center stage in the "big smoke" Dublin City. There have been a few rants here and there about the cost of the tickets and how hard it is for people to grab a hold of one so that they can attend. The crowds of people at the match deservedly want to be there for another piece of history as it is made. The teams that will play are the county team of Dublin V the county team of Kerry. Two great great counties and as a matter of fact all of the counties in Ireland are great because they are what makes up Ireland, so of course they are all great.
The conflict of things becomes interesting though as being Irish means this is our national sport. This is our great day of pride when the All Ireland is played. Each county seeking to lift the cup. They will battle and they will battle hard as this is no soft type of game at all. This game is football and it could easily be called a Mosh pit with a referee and a ball, the hits get hard and fast on All Ireland day. I hail from a little village outside of Dublin City and it is part of the county of Dublin yet I am wishing that Kerry win. Why?
Being Irish means so many things to so many people and today of all days when our national sport is played out for the cup of the All Ireland, it is that being Irish means we know this game inside out. It is part of everybody on this island and beyond. Irish all over the world will find a bar or a way to tune in and watch this game. This is the superbowl of the Irish. This is who we are.
The conflicting part is that we Irish also have an ingrained nature of always pulling for the underdog. We the Irish have been the underdog all of our living history. The brexit folks next door to us have had a funny way in their colonial times of trying their very best to make it so. We the underdog, the fighting Irish have always rose up from our challenges and kept on going. Being Irish means just that. To come from behind in the race, to work harder and dig deeper to not cave in and bend on one knee in front of any monarch. We the Irish are not known as fighting Irish because we punch each other all of the time. Our history has shown us that determination and hard work has brought us out from the clutches of being colonised and being owned as slaves. In our blood runs the very irons of warriors and fighters. On the pitch today this will be displayed as the two counties will square up to each other and represent their respective counties well. The conflict of being Irish and being the fighting underdog, being Irish and always pulling for the underdog. Kerry are the underdog today as Dublin have won this 4 times now already and are seeking a 5th title. I say conflicted, come on Kerry, come on the Kingdom of Ireland. We Irish pull for the underdog as we know the role oh too well.
2. Our country and history is all about our culture as an island nation and our language and our sport and our politics are all deep rooted in Gaelic. Gaelic is who we are. The organisation of the sporting event is the league of the GAA at the highest level possible. Gaelic football is played from parish to parish and village to village. From school boy teams to county panels and eventually the highest level possible the day of the all Ireland. Children dream to one day represent their county in this great final.
The Gaelic association has been around a very long time and is a very fine establishment, they are in every community providing for children to play sports. Pitches available and clubhouses have almost been the youth centers of our country for more than decades. The men who will line up to play in the all Ireland final today will do so with great pride. They have risen to the top and now have the chance to shine in history for the rest of our country to admire.
The cost of the tickets to the match have been outrageous and many people are disappointed at the fancy price tags and cannot attend. The price tags and the amount of money this game today will generate is astronomical. The stadium is one of the largest in all of Europe with a record capacity of somewhere in excess of 82 thousand people. This might help give you an idea of the enormity of the day that it is and what this game will be like.
Where is the conflict here though? Perhaps not as far away as a mile or so will be an area of Dublin city where over 10 thousand people will line up to be handed out soup and a sandwich because they are homeless. Many of these homeless will wish to have been to see the game and probably are wearing their County jerseys today in support of the game. The sad fact of the matter is while in one part of the city our national trophy will be lifted by a team in an event where many mlions will be generated, not too far away others will stand in line for scraps. Standing in line with hands out for a warm blanket for the night and a hot meal.
Tell me why the GAA has taken the all Ireland day to such massive money making levels and why the homeless lines have gotten longer? How can the divide within two miles of each other, how has it grown so far apart?
The same Irish people that will sit in the stadium today and soak in the all Ireland final are the brothers and sisters of the Irish people who walk the streets and look for a spot to sleep tonight. We are all Irish, we all deserve the same. Those who wish to divide us by creating such a social gap between us are not of our island. They are not the ones who know the rules of the game.
You my good friends had the beat opportunity ever to make a statement to the world and show that you care about your fellow men. The statement of how the fighting Irish fight for each other. It seems to have become part of our own mythology. The boycott of boycotts could have changed your country today. There will be talk from many about how they loved the all Ireland final and then they will follow on with a rant about our government. They will moan and complain about our politicians and why it is all someone else's fault never seeing how they play right in to it.
The all Ireland final and to boycott it was your chance Ireland to make a statement and insist immediate change in the homeless crisis. Opportunity missed again folks. As long as you keep on supporting the big fat cats, hey they might even build a bigger stadium some day to house more of you while they drag their heels in building houses, raise tents and someday maybe there will be 82 thousand homeless. Who really knows?
The opportunity to make change on our island was today folks and ya all hit this one wide of the bar.

A Funeral, how nice. The "Sheriff"
How does one sum up the experience of a funeral?
I attended a funeral yesterday. I was a little uneasy about the event and of course that is my own selfish take on it. An older man whom I had feelings for in many different stages of my life. A man of great whit and humour. A man who has known me since the day I was born. A man who is the father of some of my life long friends. No, not just friends, friends of my family and of mine since when I was a toddler. I had mixed emotions around the occasion indeed.
I have not been to a funeral in a little over 5 years. Believe it or not and yes it sounds funny to hear myself say it, "I had given up funerals". Like when we say I gave up chocolate for lent, or how we give anything up in our life. Well, I gave up going to funerals. The simple fact of the matter is that I have had too many horrific ones in my own very near and dear to me life. I have had to bury two of my children, hence my first book title "Two sons Too many".
What I can say is that the experience of the funeral yesterday was quite nice. It was beautiful even. Perhaps because my own emotions were not as heavily involved as they have been in my previous experiences. However this is my friends dad and a well known character around our community and beyond. So what was so "beautiful"?
I believe in the concept of celebrating the life of a person and enjoying all the nice things about them in our memories on such a day that we bury them. It is a celebration after all when someone who was beginning on a path of illness and suffering, the celebration obviously that they do not have to enter into deep suffering and their death is the end of their pain. This is a nice thing to be a part of, it sucks of course that we will never see him again in the way we have become used to seeing him and so I will miss him just as all who loved him so much will. But what celebrate? Like as if we should say, "yay let's throw a party and celebrate that we will never see him again" sounds screwed up, doesn't it? I guess the day had a very nice flow to it and from beginning to end it was a peaceful day with all who knew this man having a smile on their face when they thought of him.
Don't get me wrong it is not that the man I speak of was like Saint Patrick or something and everybody had a smile of beauty of the religious kind or anything like that. The smiles were for his charm and his whit and how those who love him and those who know him had thoughts of his words and how he would be making them laugh any time he would speak.
Can I say his "family did him proud" of course but it is almost cliche like, to use such a few words to describe the day. I as I have mentioned made a point not to attend funerals for 5 years due to how I was grieving for my children and now the day came where it was my turn to support my friends on their day in life where we all come to at some stage. To bury your father. Not an easy thing by any means, so I can say not that they did him proud, they should all rightfully so be very proud as from the funeral home to the church, the graveyard to an after party gathering. All were as nice as each other and the flow was smooth, the day was a beautiful day and enjoyable. Not for mourning and not for the thoughts of loss. For the thoughts of life ahead and the support network that exists around the family. I met with old friends and made some new ones. Faces in the crowd I have not seen for so long and others I wish to see more of. When I turned around they were gone and I didn't get a chance to say this or say that.
Ya know when ya have a feeling about something and you just at the immediate moment cannot put your finger on it. The feeling of I know how this feels and it all makes sense and with only a look from another, the feeling is confirmed because you can see others around you having the exact same clarity at the exact same time. This makes for a beautiful day when we all came together to share a space and a time for the exact same reason. This can begin a glow of beauty to it. Among friends and family where we all knew why we were there, we all knew it is this man's life and the fact he existed is how we have all become so intertwined and so close. He deserves very much our thoughts and for such a gathering to be so enjoyable and beautiful.
The support and the love was shown by all, the fun and banter enjoyed by all, the network and friendships brought together on a day that the "Sheriff" headed on out of town. I in my selfish world was very touched to share in and enjoy this funeral.
Thanks Sheriff.

Writing a new book. The ups and the downs
I listened back to an interview I did on a radio station from back in March of this year. We were talking books and life and mostly of my life journey and how I got into writing in the first place. What I heard myself say was how I was working on a book and it was going to be more of a self help type book rather than a memoir. Memoirs have been my first and second book thus far. The titles, TWO sons TOO many, this has been my first book and the reasoning behind why I entered in to writing. When I had such a large manuscript for this book I needed to scale it down a bit as my question was, how do I squeeze it all in and not lose any part or piece as all has its own importance.
To elaborate a little and expand on a section of my life I compiled a second memoir, 17 & Life. This book is subtitled "A major crossroads or just a simple intersection". A series of questions being asked as I covered my own teenage years. There are stages in life that we all cross through and how can we really know if any decision we make is the B all end all of our lives or are simple decisions just part of our everyday life.
I am delighted to be in a position to now have my 4th book completed. Ahh yes I skipped book number 3. Book number 3 has been a compilation of my blog posts and some poems that I have written through my own personal journey in grief. Titled, My Grief, the last three years. This is a showing of how I have filled up my time in writing and a look at some of how I have continued on my journey. I will provide a link below to my web page where you can find links to each book on Amazon.
So the 4th book is now completed. What are the options now in front of an author. I do have options, I can spend a lot of time querying publishers and book agents for the big contract deal from a conventional publisher or I can push forward and self publish as with my previous titles. Those of us who write often are aware of the work load only begins after we have our manuscript finally completed. I will toy around with the idea for a few weeks and see where I land. The beauty and the most important piece for me as a writer is that, the project of getting it all down on paper has been completed and this is a joy that keeps a smile on my face.
Imagine I have completed a self help book. Yes there are parts of me and my journey in there that are like no other and are all my own real life. The techniques I have learned which have helped me overcome some of the mountains in my own life. I wanted to share with the world as it only seems fair, more importantly though is the hope I have to be able to allow others a fair shot at things and if my own suffering and learning can help any out there who live with or through struggling with their own lives or conditions. I share this great news with you so that you too can feel joyed for me or with me. Isn't it nice to share good news?
We have not been given perhaps the simplest life or even an easy road through. What we can do though is make some simple little alterations in how it all effects our own lives.
I look forward to your readership and feed back in all of my books and am very thankful to all who do support my writing.
To catch up on all and to maybe even find out why I am an expert on the areas that I write about. Take a read of my memoirs and catch up.

Sunday, is a day of rest. What?
Sunday, Monday, Wednesday. Where did it become so that Sunday is a day of rest and where has this old fashioned idea or concept gone?
Okay if we work in a traditional 9 to 5, Monday to Friday job then even Saturday could be considered a day of rest too, right?
I guess some bible influence, perhaps it is correct to say "biblical" influence. "on the 7th day he rested" and all that. Who in todays world has time to actually rest?
So it is supposed to be scheduled and laid out that it is on Sunday that we must rest. How many of you / us go out for brunch, dinner or evening meal on a Sunday? What about the chef in that restaurant? The wait staff and all that are working. What makes them not entitled to a day of rest on a Sunday?
Of course it would be ludacris if everywhere on the planet just shut down and stopped on a Sunday. This will never happen cause there is too much money to be made on a Sunday with people off work and ready to shop and eat and go to watch a game or a show. How could it be even fathomable that everyone could have a rest day on a Sunday. Imagine there would be no buses or trains, no gas stations to fuel up and and nowhere to go except out in nature in the park or along a beach. Absolutely nothing wrong with those places at all, actually those might be some of my preferred places to visit.
Is it a box of conformity that we fit in to to swallow up this idea of Sunday is a day of rest? The box being that of how a job is Monday to Friday and Saturday is for errands and chores and then Sunday is feet up day. Sounds like the ideal rather than the actual. Somebody is always working and not resting. Let's understand that bit first and foremost and shout out to everyone who is toiling away on a Sunday. This is 2019 and the days of biblical influence seem to becoming less and less all the time. I am in no way a Bible follower nor basher nor anything really. I was raised in a very much Catholic society and so our influences from such bible were very strong indeed. Slowly but surely these things are being stripped away from our society though. I do comprehend some of its teachings and the likes, yet I fail to buy in to it totally. I guess that is what some of the teachings were, go out and ask questions and try and figure it out for yourself.
The Sunday being a normal work day for many and not a day of rest at all and the idea that there is too much money to be made by industry on a Sunday would also fall into or let's just say, they covered it well in the bible. Money is the route of all evil, I think that's how it goes. So the businesses and companies not offering staff a day of rest on a Sunday are doing it for profits and therefore on the 7th day which is a rest day, they choose money over rest, the route of all evil. I kind of just laughed to myself there as I see it as a very cunning piece of such influence to mock or point finger at those who must work on a Sunday and chase that money. What is the difference between Sunday and Wednesday for example?
There is definitely a huge grip of religious teachings of one kind or another weaved in to our societies and how we operate though. How we set our days up and what day should be for what and when we should organise such a thing as "rest". I like to think of how more and more people are figuring it out for themselves and learning that rest can be on any day and so can work. Tell me this, can someone who needs their job and the days pay be worried about paying their bills on time and which day they should be resting or working? Probably not.
The funny thing though that so many cities around the entire world or towns for that matter will have a different buzz to them on a Sunday. Less traffic and more people walking around on their day off. How weird that the masses that would say "screw that" when asked about religion yet they enjoy the heck out of their day off and the organised rest day. Weird isn't it?
Religion has moulded the society we live in and whether you agree with or not you definitely take advantage whenever you can for a "holy day" as a day off or a Sunday for that matter.
If you do not buy in to or are not affiliated with any religions of any kind. Then get out and work on a Sunday. Make the society you are living in a better place by going the extra mile whether it is Sunday or Tuesday or any other day. When you sit back and say "oh it's great it's Sunday I am going to lounge around and enjoy the football" those guys playing the game are actually working, along with all the technicians it takes to make that TV work for your pleasure, there is a very good chance that the tech guy making sure the commercials and the game coverage all tie together properly is a religious person and you lounging around on Sunday are not. Isn't that a little ironic right there?
Now just because I am not big on the bible or anything is not a good excuse for you to get up in arms with me. Relax. To each their own and all that stuff. Live and let live etc etc. Just as I am not pounding on your door hounding you out to work on your lazy day.
I do believe however that if you have the mind set to take it easy on a Sunday then you can also set your mind to be totally fine with resting on Thursday should the schedule require it. If your Sunday means going to church all dressed up and then off out for a Sunday evening or afternoon meal, then what about the service staff? Are they lessor beings because they choose the route of all evil on a Sunday?
Just a thought that crossed my mind and made me wonder. Nothing wrong with a bit of wondering on a Sunday.
As for the bible and the influence, I guess I think it only fair you continue to form your own opinions on that stuff or I could be here for a long time.
Enjoy your day of rest, whenever it does occur for you in your week to week schedule and give a thought for those less fortunate that must work.
