Friday Feeling, "the masks question"
Yes corona virus is the center of tons of discussion, confusion and frantic consumption of information these days. Not all of the information being received is factual though, what is so new about that?
Nothing really, the internet has been providing us info for some decades now and we tend to gobble it up like crazy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The "MASKS" question.
From day one of this pandemic reaching the shores of Ireland, Ireland because that is where I was born and raised and nowadays, is where I live.
From day 1 it was said that masks are only for those who are infected, that anyone who does not have the virus, "there is no need to wear a mask".
Some had said that this was a way to slow the spread of public hysteria and widespread panic.
Some said that it was a way to lead the public "stupidly".
The issue has remained the same throughout.
An infected person needs to wear a mask to slow the spread of the infected droplets from their breath. The infected person in an effort to stop the spread of the virus would need a mask to trap their own droplets or cause them to lose their speed as they exit the mouth and this would slow the spread.
The non infected person using the mask could only give a false sense of security. The false sense being that they might believe that wearing a mask would mean they cannot catch the virus. This is not true.
What the mask will actually do is prevent the large infected droplets from getting in to your throat or lungs, yes this is true. Wearing a mask does not give you a full protection. Think about it, air has to pass through the mask for you to be able to breathe so, yes virus molecules can still enter through the mask.
The infected person can slow the spread by wearing the mask. The non infected can still catch it even if they are wearing a mask.
So from day 1 the advice seems to be true and correct.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wearing the mask to safe guard yourself?
As we have moved further and further into the mess of the virus pandemic. The information is still flying around all over the internet. Even info about what to eat and drink & what not to eat and drink. Shut downs and lock downs, social distancing, cocooning and quarantine are all part of the mix now.
So what about the masks now?
There was advice and suggestions that it is important to social distance from each other and consider that every person has it . "Assume everyone has it", that is what has been advised. Probably in week one or two, this was the advice.
Assume everyone has it.
So more and more people decided to take up wearing gloves and masks.
Please don't get me wrong, wearing gloves and masks are great in my opinion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are still unclear about the masks though.
Now as we move even further into the pandemic, we are still unsure. Should we or should we not be wearing masks?
The advice was, "assume everyone has it"
One of the funny things about that assumption is, will you assume you have it yourself?
The research based on a few short weeks of the virus is suggesting that, "a person is MOST INFECTIOUS prior to ever showing any symptoms".
That is weird itself.
A requirement to be tested is to show symptoms. No symptoms, No test.
This means that all the people walking around feeling fine and with no symptoms may actually be SPREADING THE VIRUS.
Without ever feeling a single symptom.
Remember, the advice is that a person may well be "MOST INFECTIOUS prior to ever showing any symptom".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Best advice from what appears all across the news and media outlets
WEAR THE MASK.
* Wear it because you may be an infected person and not even know it yet.
* Wear the mask as you are assuming you have it yourself.
* Wear the mask not to protect yourself, you wear it to save others.
* Wear the mask to prevent the large molecules from another infecting you.
* Wear the mask & do not think it fully protects you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wearing the mask could save your life, this is great news. The beautiful news is that you wear the mask to save the lives of the people around you.
Wearing a mask is a selfless act.
I thank you all for wearing a mask.
Oh and by the way if you like reading books. You can find my books on amazon. some reading to keep you company while stuck indoors.
Life after "The Virus"
Imagine, April 2020 and the world is on lock down.
Can we look forward to a time when we will all emerge out the other side of this pandemic?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Something I would like to encourage you to do, I am writing to you today to encourage you to make a video for your work.
If you have a business or provide a service in your area, then make a video and post it online.
Why? You might ask.
* Let people know you exist.
* Let people now what it is you do and what area you are in.
* Let people know in this time of super high surfing the internet rates.
* Use your time to advertise yourself and look to to life after this virus.
When you make a video of your business, you are letting people know you exist and that you are "Gung-ho" to get back to work.
The encouragement you will be providing to the public will have a great affect.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many right now are sick of hearing about corona virus.
Many are terrified to venture outside.
Many are losing hope in the future of the world.
You will give great encouragement to people to begin to use their mind to believe in the next phase which will be life after the virus.
Your business or services may be just what they have been looking for and they will never know about you or find you if you do not "pitch it to them".
Get online and get posting about your business.
Perhaps you are not comfortable speaking in front of the camera, so Find a business card of yours and hold the phone up to it for a clear picture of your business card and speak about where you are and what it is you do.
For example,
I have made videos in the past and I continue to write different posts around the internet. My goal is to make attempts to bring about some thought in you, the reader.
Why do this?
My work load is what I have put in to writing my books. I wish to sell them around the world and offer some inspiration to others to enrich their own lives. How will they find my books if I do not make posts and blog posts, just like this one? So for me, I write.
I write to encourage you in your day to day life and to bring up ideas or concepts for you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are you a contractor or a hairdresser? Do you fix windows or leaks? Do you run a home cleaning service? are you available to do alterations for people?
Are you a personal trainer?
Are you a therapist?
Are you a lawyer?
Are you a jewelry maker?
Are you a photographer?
The list goes on & on.
Whatever it is that you do, I firmly believe you can bring great comfort to your community by getting online and starting to really talk about LIFE after the VIRUS.
Let's look to what we are gonna do when this is over and let's focus on seeing the back of this horrible time.
I am not saying that in a time of crisis or global pandemic that one should look to make their business better. What I am saying however is that this is the time where there are many of your local neighbours surfing the internet (probably out of boredom at this stage) that maybe don't even know you exist.
Let them know.
Get online and start posting.
Feel absolutely free to post your business on any of my social media platforms and I will gladly share them for you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Recommendations are,
Make a post on your accounts that shows your,
* Business name and Ph. number.
* Website address if you have one.
* Your local area.
* Discuss things like your availability.
* Mention any discounts you are willing to
give.
Be sure to post your video on your social media sites. Let people know you exist, you are confident we will all be back in business soon.
Your posts will lift your local community, letting people know who and where you are will lift and encourage all to focus on life after the virus.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These are things you can do that go beyond the social distancing and sneezing into your sleeves.
There will one way to rebuild after this pandemic and that is by working together and supporting our local communities first and then we branch out from there.
Now lets start seeing more of them videos and posts , letting us all know who you are.

They call it Wednesday Wisdom, I guess?
Hard as it may be to, NOT turn on a TV or radio and hear about corona virus. Perhaps just not turning them on might be a key to keeping the mind a little oblivious to the pandemic. Naturally, this would be impossible.
For as much as this topic is being broadcast, imagine for a moment that it is a virus that is more viral than all the posts on social media or all the channels combined.
The element of DEATH, yes it is also very shocking. To think of all of the people who have sadly passed away from the corona virus, it is shocking and appears so unbelievable in many instances.
Are we to consider a moment of comfort because the deaths are occurring so much across the elderly generations?
Can we consider that there is a natural rate of death occurs naturally anyway?
Do images of mass graves and coroners cooler fridges stocked to the roof with dead bodies hammer home the real idea of what this virus is actually doing?
The reporting, though quite cold in nature to report daily "more dead, more dead", does the reporting serve the purpose of really telling you all how this corona virus is a real bitch of virus. Knows absolutely NO BOUNDARIES .
Even though there is a natural rate of death that occurs across the world daily and some cases may have died anyway, out of old age or from a pre existing condition. Does this make it any easier for the families who are left behind?
The poor families who perhaps had a death of a loved one sped up or brought on a tad earlier, there are also younger and healthy people passing away too.
"Flattening the curve" is a few little words that could drive anyone mad right about now. The graph of the virus across all parameters has been in an upward spike for quite some time. Although the words flatten the curve are been thrown out here, there and everywhere. Yes, there is a sign of reduced deaths and less infections showing up in some parts of mainland Europe. There are still quite high numbers in the critically ill sector. We, the entire world, could really do with seeing all these numbers coming down, down and be gone. Critically ill, new cases, new deaths. What we all could do with seeing is a spike on the graph in the numbers of RECOVERED.
Social distancing, washing our hands and basically keeping away from people. Keeping away not just to maintain 2 meters apart from each other, just keep away. It is hard to stay cooped up in the house, flat, apartment all day these days and many are taking to the outdoors for exercise. It is definitely worth considering that the person you walk past while out for a stroll, may very well have the deadly corona virus droplets in their sneeze or cough. This then can hang in the air and infect you.
I do not want to see any of you who are reading this right now as a statistic of a "new case" or a "new death".
The 1 way this is possible is to stay very far away from humans. Imagine they have the plague and leprosy with a dash of AIDS, ebola and the corona virus all rolled in to one. They can transfer it to you by breathing close to you.
Can you say on Wednesday, Wednesday Wisdom and all that, is it worth taking the chance?
Think about it.
On a final note, I think it would be nice if we all can spare a small moment in our day for all of those who have lost their lives during these past couple of months. For whatever reason and especially for those who have met their end due to corona virus.
A special thought also for all of the people who have been working tirelessly to try to assist and treat the massive amount of patients.
IT has been reported that the conditions and strains on countries health systems have not been seen since world war times. PTSD is a very real thing and I hope that we can all pause for a moment and wish to the universe that all in the medical field can be spared any more horrible scenes in their daily work load.
This is the Wednesday wisdom we can all hope for. Spare our fellow humans from any more death and suffering. Spare our medical workers from the heart ache and from the cruel scenes.

Where is it best to focus? Corona
Corona virus is causing all kinds of havoc around the world. It is a fact we cannot deny.
I definitely am someone who believes in the here and now, though I have learned that there are many age old expressions or sayings to keep close to the fore of my mind.
"Must look to the past to learn for the future"
or perhaps the best that keeps circling in my mind these current days
"Failing to plan, is planning to fail"
We must have some plans set in place for the aftermath of this virus pandemic. It is important to live in the now as much and as often as we can. This can help us from not going completely insane.
Will we ever shake hands again? Probably.
Will we hug or kiss the cheeks as a way to greet and say hello? Probably.
Will we ever again be sure that we have washed our hands properly? Probably not.
Perhaps there are some deeper aspects of life that we may need to consider as a way forward after the virus has been killed.
What of the workers who were made redundant? The hard work and years of service offered to a company, and then with the virus, just left to the side or kicked to the unemployment line.
Will this type of worker be as loyal as they ever were before?
Is it safe to say that an eyeopener has occurred for the loyal employee?
What of the tax payer who was cast aside by their government? Will this employee wish to return to work and gladly pay the taxes from their hard earned pay, to the government who did not take care of them properly during the pandemic?
What of the banking system who has given short term holiday periods, will the banks continue to higher the payments and ensure they do not lose out? Will the loyal customer become a little more slow or edgy to keep their funds with such institutions? The institutions who wear the sheep's clothing in the time of the virus slowdown. The bank charges do not appear to take any such holidays.
Will society in general become a little more appreciative of life?
The social distancing and the courtesy being shown through this time.
The genuine small business who have stepped up and offered what little they could to help. Will society find them, seek such small business out and use their services or help to make them profitable as a thank you for their effort during the pandemic?
The social distancing for example, isn't it nice to enter a shop and not have other people breathing on you or over your shoulder?
Isn't it nice to have 2 meter distance between you and another person at the check out queue? Simple things that perhaps could have or should have always been.
It has always irked me to have someone breathing or coughing near my shoulder. Perhaps the future is bright in regards to these topics that I have mentioned above.
Will governments the world over give all in the medical profession their rightful pay?
Will the nurses get their rightful recognition? Student nurses who struggle to pay rent and fees and must do without as they struggle when doing compulsory shifts in the hospital wards. Without pay for such "serving their time" work experience. Will the path to training as nurse or any member of medical staff be made an easier path from this point forward?
Let us consider what it is you may do for yourself in the aftermath of this global pandemic. We must see the future and the times after this virus is gone to be able to accomplish new heights and recover/survive.
We must make small plans to in a way, set goals for ourselves.
A valuable thought through this time of lock down may be just exactly that.
What will I do for myself different when this is all over?
I do not think that life as I knew it will return. This is a lesson I have learned some number of years ago. The world in order to recover must begin by making small plans. Each individual can make tiny plans in their own lives to continue the social distancing and to continue the courteous behaviours.
Will it be possible to grow in our personal selves?
Will it serve us good purpose to grow from this time with great new learning and knowledge of what it is that is important to our lives?
Food for thought,
Something to give some thought to to keep the mind turning during these times.
Something to consider for your personal well being.

Corona Virus, my own day to day routine.
Though difficult to express exactly what it can be when we think of exactly what the heck is going on in the world. It is safe to say that every one of us has been caught up in some form or other about the "daily numbers", the "remedies" or even the "press conferences".
What I have found is that my own daily routine by far supersedes the daily reports and what is being spread by the news channels. Be it media spin or just an onslaught of media reports of deaths and "new infections".
How much of the numbers can one digest? To comprehend what it actually means to understand that people have been dying by the thousands. On the other hand the other numbers that are thrown around so easily, billions in stimulus packages. In some cases even trillions have been mentioned. Again to take a look at Ireland, there is a current stimulus package for people who have found themselves unemployed due to Covid-19. This payment is an unemployment payment to assist people through these times. The amount people are stressing their week in isolation or social distancing is 350 euro. This is in or around 380 US dollars. I have also heard of the other stimulus packages from other countries. The point being, how can the general public even begin to comprehend billions and trillions of economic impact when their minds are set at a 3 to 4 hundred dollar figure?
Are there any remedies? This can be another topic that can easily cloud the mind. What natural items exist on our planet that can eliminate this virus? Surely there is something we can do to protect ourselves. Gives us an immunity so to speak. My own mind has been searching and searching to think what organism exists other than synthetic drugs. What can there be in the forests or the oceans of the world to drive this virus into extinction? I pose the questions not as a way to offer more mysterious questions for you to consider, rather to give you something to occupy the mind in a way in which we can consider the brighter possibility of killing off this virus. I simply believe in focusing on the solution side of this mess. Of course there is also the possibility of how we can either allow our mind to wander off and become almost like claustrophobic or even "mind blown" by it all. It is very hard to understand all that is happening and to imagine what may become in the future? Post Corona virus?
I like to wake up in the morning and take a drink of lemons in a cup of hot water. I read it somewhere in the beginning of this pandemic situation. They were saying something about raising or lowering the alkaline levels in the mouth and throat to help ward off the virus. Does it work or is it true, like a medical fact? I have not gotten the virus to date (touch wood).
I then check on my blood sugar levels and take some breakfast. not a big hearty meal, just a little snack.
Oh yeah I am a diabetic and have to monitor my blood sugar levels all of the time anyways. Probably another reason I have paid close attention to what was going on when this pandemic stuff was breaking news and new all around the world. I wanted to know what is it they are saying about the affects on diabetics?
Then for some exercise. I found that taking care of some gardening work was a good way to be outdoors and getting exercise both at the same time. Naturally I do of course understand, some of you reading this may not have a garden. I do not have children who are off of school due to pandemic closures "under my feet" all day and so my time to be spent in the garden may be clearly because I do not have to sit in and play games or entertain children. No home schooling here, I have thought over the past few weeks of the pandemic that it would be nice to be worrying about homeschooling or some form of developing my little children in some academic way. That is a story for another day though.
I then like to meditate during my day at some point in the day. I do not have a set time for this. I just know that in order to remain calm and enjoy my day to day living, it is an important part of filling my day. My meditation is not some extreme planned exercise. I like to focus on my breathing and spend ten to twenty minutes in my own mind. Well more like clearing my mind and getting to a place of blank. Completely blank. This definitely is an exercise that has helped me overcome some much larger obstacles than something like this pandemic of corona virus.
Meditation could be at 11 am or as late as 8 pm. The only important piece is that I include meditation in my daily routine. This can afford any of us a chance to remain grounded or focused during this time.
Dinner in the evening time and then, I have found myself scouring the TV channels for movies. I have found that catching up on some old TV series too has been a great way to distract the mind and just have some time of "brain drain" or possibly what could be called, nothingness. These are also important things to bring into our routine as it is a way in which to distract and somewhat disconnect from all that is happening around the world.
Maintaining social distancing and some mini self isolation due to being diabetic and in a higher risk category of people, I guess I find some gap fillers by making some marketing posts for my books. My previous writing work is available on the internet for all to read and criticize as they see fit. I have offered my most recent book "Layman's Handbook" as a freebie on kindle back at the beginning of this pandemic and it now is available for free if you are a kindle unlimited member. I guess I wanted to offer my little piece for people who may be getting a little bored with all their time at home. Again I understand some of you out there have never been so busy as school time used to be perhaps even your own nap time.
I made a video post back at the beginning of this pandemic about social distancing and using some songs to demonstrate what we already know this is all about. Insomnia was one of the songs I used, as I do know what is it like to not be getting enough exercise and have an overactive mind come night time. In order to keep that insomnia stuff away, it is important to gain some form of energy burning exercise each day. I offered my recent book Layman's Handbook to help people take a beginners view to meditation and in the hopes to help others manage themselves through the "isolation", "quarantine", "cocooning" times.
I hope to see the curve begin to flatten as it has started slowly to subside in mainland Europe. This is highly encouraging for us here in Ireland and I do hope to see a slow down in the United States. Perhaps for us here in Ireland if we can follow along the same timelines as our neighbours in Europe, we can begin to see the corner being turned on this virus somewhere in the 25th to 28th of April. Again I say "I hope".
I hope you are finding ways to stay safe, to stay healthy and to remain in an emotional healthy place throughout this pandemic.
Thanks for reading and I would be delighted if you could join me over on twitter and help me in continuing to spread the word on my books. If I do not continue to market them or spread the word, then how would folks ever know they exist?

What I have found is that my own daily routine by far supersedes the daily reports and what is being spread by the news channels. Be it media spin or just an onslaught of media reports of deaths and "new infections".

Conspiracy theory & covid-19
With all the time to think and as I have found over several years, asking people to think for themselves is quite a stretch.
If even the imagination.
With lock down status hitting many countries and a massive push to encourage people to self isolate, one would imagine there is a lot of time for people to think and reflect.
Some of the theories knocking around are possibly due to this exact reason. Unable to stop the minds from going off on tangents of thought. It will take more than a social distancing or "lock down" to quieten the minds.
5g roll out map has been identified as matching the corona virus spread through out the world. There have been videos and posts showing that the map of each item, item A being the 5g roll out map globally and item B being the map of the spread of corona virus globally. Yes they are shockingly similar maps.
Does this then make the case that it is a 5g antenna radiation thing more so than a pandemic of a virus?
To put this one to rest, a simple concept:
The developed world are the regions shown in both maps.
It stands to reason that the market place for 5g and all areas it has been introduced are the exact regions of target for its service that then explains the movement of people and the larger populations and the same market places that have the need for 5g being the most probable to have mass movement and traffic (spread of virus) of people globally, hence the maps for 5g and corona virus spread are very similar.
The introduction of people not touching and social distancing has brought about an increase of online shopping and using contact less payment options.
The reduction in the use of actual cash.
The move has been coming to remove cash from society for a long time. There is a wish from somewhere high above that cash transactions be reduced globally and this has been going on for years.
The infrastructure for contact less payments and all electronic type online shopping has been available for years. Now with the corona virus many of these are being used extensively.
Is it an illuminati effort to remove the cash from the general public? Create a soft dollars situation and monitoring of every individual on the planet?
Feeding into the concept that the world is over populated and the control of money should be ran by 10% of the population?
Italy has become a serious victim of this corona virus and what is in Italy? The Vatican and the original world Bank, if you like. More illuminati type conspiracy there.
China on the other hand have been making great waves in becoming a world power and have done some brilliant work to their credit over the past 10 to 20 years. Stockpiling raw materials and really being the factory floor of the world. Through recent years China has taken up great positions in US markets and has been somewhat amazing in their own use of their money.
Makes a lot of conspiracy type sense to see why the Chinese would be hit extremely hard and severe economic breakdown in their own country and devaluing their hand in such world dominance type markets.
Iran is a country that is again another massive victim of the covid-19 outbreak. A country that has remained sovereign throughout their history and one that I know very little about. To be honest, the only time I ever hear of Iran is to do with how they stand up to the world and say in not such a nice way, to the world "feck off" when it especially comes to nuclear power or weapons.
Then again on the heat map of the world and the spread of corona virus, a striking fact were that Italy, China & Iran were all the major areas hit hardest and the larger vistims of the virus.
United Kingdom,
As an Irish person I have a historical sense of ire towards them. Although no one single British person ever harmed me directly. The occupation of my own country by the British is the historic reason that really has been something learned by myself.
Brexit just happened though, not finalised and a border issue has been a sticking point to the entire Brexit process. That border being between Northern and Southern Ireland.
What has happened during this virus spread situation? No closure of the border. On one little island in the world, the Republic of Ireland (Southern Ireland) and their government are making attempts to curtail the rapid spread of the virus while the Northern part of the island is governed by British rule and is seeing a completely different set of rules and recommendations as they are to follow the British government's say so.
Highlighting of the need for a One country Ireland or a closed border. Either A or B. Dual governments on the tiny island makes no sense and they are so far on the opposite ends of the spectrum from each other.
What is it that makes sense for the British to be operating as normal during this pandemic and why are they so slow to close things down?
Brexit has left them in very uncertain economic waters and they already are nursing a ton of self doubt over how will they survive and support their people through the Brexit situation. Their coffers may become over strained. Corona virus pandemic is seeing countries come to a complete stop and Britain may be about to have their first real test of their systems before they become fully independent of Europe.
So where is the conspiracy in all this?
Britain and their Brexit strategy would mean they for the first time in many years would not have to bow down to a European parliament nor will they have to fully respect the UN sanctions should they wish to return in full force to their age old ally of the US in any war time situation.
Britain is already facing economic pressures from the Brexit fiasco and the only way in history thus far to stimulate and economy has been by way of war.
What are the reports from Russia? The iron curtain may be back in play before too long based upon this virus outbreak.
Is this a man made virus that is designed to kill of the weak and wipe out one or other country that has gotten just a little out of hand?
Like a kid who sets fire to some dry grass and then within two weeks the entire forest and homes are ablaze?
Who really knows?
Quite strikingly though, children appear to be safe for the most part. The sick and the elderly are most at risk. Could the corona virus be a human cull?
Perhaps the climate change organisation went a little too far in their efforts to revolt. A little effort to cause scare ad panic and clean up pollution in China has become an international disaster in human welfare and an economic nightmare the world over.
Who really knows hey?
Like what did Tom hanks ever do to contract this virus, only entertain us?
Oh yeah he played the part of a guy who investigated the illuminati, yikes....
Iran, Italy and China though?
Iran and China allies should a move come in war. And Italy holds all the secrets and massive wealth.
Scary to think what may ever become. Dumb down all the people with Internet home schooling and remove cash from society. All the while culling the sick and the elderly.
Oh jesus!
Enjoy your social distancing and self isolation. Try and relax your minds though.
You will sleep better.

Bye Feb, Helllloooo March! (will to win)
Yes, I am glad to see the back of February. Each year it is a month I am not too fond of.
Why, so because and all that?
February is the month where my little champion Patrick was born. Patrick was my second son in life and my own new light, a new light of hope and the catalyst to rebuild me as a man.
Each year now since his passing, I find his birthday, a day for massive reflection upon what it is he did for me, how he did it for me and of course, as I am only human, what he may have become. Patrick did so much for me as a person in his short life that to say it is all bittersweet is only the tip of iceberg.
Oh, for those who are not aware, Patrick drowned in a swimming pool at 5.30am one Sunday morning when he was 1year & 4 months old. I dare not keep you in any suspense of this fact.
So February is a hard month, a celebratory month as it is Patrick's birthday month and an all round head wreck of a month.
What Patrick thought me as a man was to pick my head up. At the time of his birth and all the way through the pregnancy with his mom, I was very stuck as a human being. Though so horrible to even remind myself of that time, I was not sure I even wanted to be a father again. I was in the depths of wallowing and the new process of grieving my first son Darra.
Darra was 15 years of age when he died and I could not comprehend any of what was meant to be. I could not function as a human being, as a father nor as a man. Patrick's life meant so much to me. I will always be in awe of how he has impacted me and helped me to get my head to a place where I dragged myself out of the depths of despair to sit and play with him, to cuddle with him. As much as Patrick was receiving love from his mom and his father, he was very much returning a massive amount of inspiration for life to me.
The day that Patrick drowned was the absolute of breaking the last shreds of my own SELF. I was shattered physically by the ordeal that morning, I found myself feeling completely destroyed to my foundation and beyond. Emotionally, well I will have to ask you to just imagine it for a second and in your imagination you will begin to taste the slightest snippet of what that might feel like.
I was destroyed as a man, the first time around I did not ever think I could live on after my first son was found dead in his bed one Monday morning. Darra died of sudden adult death syndrome. This basically means that his heart just stopped at some time through the night and he was just gone. It was that devastation that Patrick lifted me up from. Patrick's meaning in my life became wholeheartedly about how I MUST go on. I must dig to the deepest I have never even imagined inside of myself. I must find the fibres inside of myself to cling on to and rebuild. I must find a way to grieve for Darra and be a father also. I must look inside of myself, a place where it really felt that there was nothing left. I felt empty, I felt shattered, I felt like no other person can ever understand this. Sometimes, when Patrick was like 3 or 4 months old, he didn't want to sleep and I began to give him the bad habit of walking the hallway with him rocking him back and forth. I wanted to lull him back to sleep, I would try and not change his position in my arms too much and try and peak to see if he was sleeping yet. He was not. He would just be looking right back at me full of smiles.
I would talk to him and tell him about his bigger brother and Patrick would keep on smiling back at me. Patrick would give me a look just like any adult would and it was a look from him that was as if to say, "hey can I give you a hug?"
These little things were pieces of how my son Patrick helped to bring me back to being a man. Me and his mom really loved Patrick and Patrick had an incredible ability to love us back too.
It was through the time of his death and while in a state of grief for Darra that I felt I had no choice in life, I repeated to myself "I MUST find a way".
And so today continues the healing process. The grief on some days can consume me, on other days I am fully charged to continue what and how Patrick's life thought me to be. For these reasons I have always found it difficult to absorb the month of February. Patrick has meant so much in my life. He was 1 year and 4 months old when he drowned, if you add on 9 months of pregnancy, Patrick had spent almost two years becoming who he was and those 2 years were 2 years I spent in a cycle of devastation and disbelief. 2 years where I searched for any small shred of fibre inside of myself to become daddy again. 2 years of not even believing that my own shadow was my own. The extent of how being confused became such a scary place for me that I had only one choice, one decision, one mantra. I MUST FIND A WAY.
Today I sit here writing this piece to demonstrate to all and any who may find it hard sometimes or who may have lost some little pieces of how they believe in themselves, I write about my own experience of such disbelief to highlight that my own existence is a certainty that, believing in ourselves can be restored. I can demonstrate that the ability to take a nights sleep and begin a new day fresh. These are items that we can all take for granted. Many of us can believe we are right in all our choices and decisions. Many of us can see no major factor in the simple things in life. I was once in a position that to force myself out of bed in the morning and take a shower and prepare for the day that, that was the entire day accomplished. Some very small simple accomplishments were all that I could manage.
My own grief is still very raw. I am now carrying this sense of sadness for 8 years now. Patrick's entire life occurred within 2 and half years of Darra's death. The roller-coaster has been beyond even my own belief.
This is the will to win, this is the piece that reassures me that if there is one tiny little fibre of hope inside of us then there exists the will to win.
For some, winning in life may mean or be represented by the large ticket items of toys, "he who has most toys wins". For many it may be in outside pursuits that winning is found, work/promotions or even in sports. I guess I wanted to point out that when you may find yourself stuck in a rut or any kind of hard place in life. I have found and am a living testament that when you are TRYING you are WINNING.
When you have a belief in yourself you are displaying an enormous "will to win"
Take a moment and give yourself a pat on the back right now for your efforts.
There is a great beauty in having a fire begin to smoulder inside of you when you have that will inside of you. This flickering flame can at any moment by life events turn into a raging blaze and make you a fiercely motivated person.
My motto and has been ever since I wrote my first book,
"TWO sons TOO many".
The motto has become a mantra to live by and came to me by reflection in some of my darkest hours.
"NEVER GIVE UP"
You can find any and all of my books and writing on my website amcnallyauthor or on amazon. Hit the Google button and type in Aidan Mc Nally.
I encourage you to do so to gain your readership and to throw myself out there to you as a voice or tool that you can use to bring about an attitude of winning into your own life. Be it difficult or be it fun. I have learned some very tough life lessons and the most powerful I have found to help myself was to share them with you all.

Don't BELIEVE the "hype"
When we, all or any of us sit down for a nice relaxing evening and somehow by flicking through channels on the TV we come across a news channel. We are taken in by what we are hearing, the images displayed to us and the tone in which the news is reported to us.
Can I say I am a believer of all? Not too sure about that one.
In Ireland, growing up there was a saying we often quoted to each other in some joking way or another,
"don't believe everything you hear & only half of what you see".
Kind of makes a lot of sense doesn't it?
Getting back to the news channels though and even your evening shows that you like to watch. The daily themes of the soaps that you are highly tuned in to. These are all influencing us one way or another. The themes being chosen, the story line or the reporting of the "factual news".
Change the channel and receive a completely opposite side, an opposing agenda if you like.
One channel tells you about some devastating occurrence in the world while failing to report to you some very disturbing local news, which may well be of more interest to you.
I suppose the idea that "The Simpsons" has laid out a world theme, way in advance of anyone ever believing it to be true. The course of time has proven their episodes to not only be jokes of their time, now to find so much of their themes to have come true. Astonishing really.
The current situation globally is definitely very much about political unrest in several different countries. Unrest may be a little strong, perhaps uncertainty is a better way to put it to you. This uncertainty is designed for what reason?
We believe what we want to believe is a fair statement.
Our TV channels, our social media channels, the advertising networks and all that is consumed by us daily is hyping one thing or another and there has been no let up for quite a number of years.
"oh, but wait I am not a consumer" I hear you say. Example,
I click the link to wish someone a happy birthday because I was prompted by Facebook in the morning in my notifications, this is language we all understand, right?
I then, later that day go to clear out my spam folder in my email and I am reminded by a catchy title of an email that says, "the perfect gift idea" or "true friendship rings new designs".
Did these email just appear by accident?
Allow me to venture to another concept for you, the print newspapers will print a story on a far left political ideology. Another newspaper reports and prints a far right political ideology. The TV channels provide for us a debate or two, again, one is lobsided left and another channel lobsided right.
A Facebook post or promoted post on Instagram is offering you a master class in improving your life through a capitalist work program designed to help you gain traction in the corporate world of selling to consumers. A promoted tweet or article on Facebook shows you the ins and outs of the benefits of marijuana in your life.
All of the influences are bringing you "hype" of one sort or another.
It is based upon what you want to believe is how you will see it. The concepts you will consume are the concepts that fit with you/for you.
Some of us will believe all the hype in one direction and a whole bunch of the rest of us will believe the completely opposite.
This has led to and continues to breathe into our daily lives, uncertainty.
We are seeing it now in the political uncertainty, economic uncertainty, pension uncertainty, global warming uncertainty.
I am certain of one thing. I WILL DIE.
I am certain of another thing. YOU WILL DIE.
After these two issues, I am certain of nothing else.
Why write this out for you? And I might add that, why do I wish to have you read this & bring a little snippet of thought into your day?
It is through your own thinking process and how you believe whatever it is that you want to believe that you will begin to see and make more positive choices of where you actually allow your influences come from and begin to build a tiny little bit more certainty into your own life.
If you like channel A. over channel B. Or should you be right wing or left wing politically? Try something new and think for yourself. Try on the other shoe for a day or two, give the other view point a little of your time to see if you may indeed find that perhaps a happier life for yourself can come by making tiny changes in how you think.
And as I began with,
Don't believe the HYPE.

Advertising books. A blog post.
Random thoughts, is the title on my blog. Though I have umpteen random thoughts everyday, sometimes I must share an advertisement or two for my writing material. The books I have produced to date.
Is there something for everyone in my writing? Maybe yes, maybe no. Of course it takes you to choose one of my books and see if it fits for you.
I like, rather, I enjoy writing about my thoughts and feelings and what one situation or another may have been like for me. I get further enjoyment when a reader of my work tells me something like "I can't believe you went through the exact same feelings as me". This kind of feedback enhances the enjoyment from my writing for me, as it solidifies to me or for me that, we are all human and experience much the same stuff throughout our lives. Not always at the same time, of course not. Though we do have similar feelings to each other at many different intervals on our "life journey".
I have documented my own life story and released it in some books to help anyone who wishes to read my books, well to put it simply, help you find some "normal" in what you may have ever felt yourself.
My life has had some quite unique twists and turns and to say that you or any reader for that matter may have the exact same story would be strange to say the least. Where we may actually experience the same feelings about different situations though.
Example,
Not everyone has been incarcerated, this is obvious.
In my book 17 & Life, I bring about some questions for the reader as to a "major" life decision needing to be made on my part. I know it did not take going to prison for everyone. This just happened to be a time in my life where such a decision occurred for me. The similarity that I noticed was that many of us do indeed reach such life changing crossroads through several different situations in each of our lives.
In 17 & Life, I wonder, through my own childhood and into teenage years, some of the stuff may have occurred for you much later in life. We all face similar events that can bring about our own reflections over what our choices thus far have caused or brought about.
Paperback and ebook for 17&Life memoir by Aidan Mc Nally available on all amazon sites.
I first broke into writing by releasing my life story memoir. This has become my flagship book as I now use the title for all my social media accounts and the likes.
The title, TWO sons TOO many, memoir by Aidan Mc Nally.
I wrote the book in an effort to remove very deep feelings from inside of myself and put them into an object/thing outside of myself. I was very unwilling to allow feelings of my own consume me beyond existence.
I learned quite quickly through feedback that in expressing some of my worst nightmares, that many others also had similar fears and worries in life. Of course it was I who has had to endure such tragedies etc. Most others find it hard to relate precisely, however it has become very clear to me that, many of us do experience similar feelings and that the catalyst or trigger may be something completely different.
Feedback has been very comforting and inspiring to me in my writing career. Example "inspirational story", " brought a great appreciation to my life". These kind of things have been very rewarding for me to hear as reactions to my book TWO sons TOO many.
As this is an advertising blog piece for my books, I encourage you to find TWO sons TOO many and have a read. Again it is available in paperback and ebook on all amazon sites.
The next project I tackled was to take a chronological view of my own blog pieces, coupled with some poems I have written and the next book was born. A look at my timeline of grief over a 3 year period. I guess you could call it, reflection on how I was handling the whole thing.
Why compile my poems and blogs into an ebook?
To bring about an offer of help to anyone who finds it hard to deal with grief. To bring a clearer view to my own journey and I was able to see spaces between my posts and different dates where a poem reflects how I was feeling.
I am aware that we cannot talk about our grief every second of everyday and that it is a difficult thing to have to cope with. So I released this ebook as an offer of help to others and to myself, highlighting that a project such as my own writing has proven therapeutic for myself and hope to offer hope to others too.
My grief the last 3 years, is available in ebook only on all amazon sites.
The latest release, this has been a project of mine that has been a culmination of my own life, my own journey and a lot of what it is that keeps me going everyday.
Again to mention that it is not always the same situations precisely that brings about changes or feelings inside of us all. Sometimes it is the end result of how we feel and what can we do about how we feel that brings about our similarities.
I recently released my thoughts and tools for helping to cope within life.
Layman's Handbook, in life.
Simple tools to change how we live.
A journey to SELF.
Now there is a title and a half.
Subtitled a journey to self. The letters of self standing for Succeed, Elevate, Live, Free.
Succeed in everything you attempt in your day to day living. Realistically, we may believe success is measured in big lavish things in our career or our lives. Success, can be achieved by beginning our day and getting out of bed.
Elevate, elevating our lives to a level where we thought maybe we could not reach. Something we hear in many different versions. One in particular I like, "raise your game". We can achieve new levels all of the time.
Live, to live sounds oh so easy. I like to pause and offer a smidgen of help to any who find day to day living difficult. I am aware that many simple tasks or chores in life can be difficult for anyone at any time. Using tools to help ourselves live is the simplest form of non complicated living I have found to date.
Free, free ourselves from torment or torture that we may put ourselves through. Free our mind to become open and understanding. This is a great tool that can again make life a very non complicated place to be. Dare I say it, enjoyable even.
The Layman's Handbook is for everybody. It is a self help guide book to consider some alternatives to handling or dealing with life, no matter what stage or level we find ourselves at.
Layman's Handbook, is available in ebook and paperback on all amazon websites.
So there ya have it. A snippet of an advertising blog piece to bring some little awareness to my books and my writing efforts.
I do hope you will feel free to, like, comment & share the piece around and perhaps someone you know could benefit greatly from taking a read of one of my books.
I always say, the only way they can find out about my writing is by shares from people just like you. I believe firmly that if we can all bring about an idea or incling of an idea that all of what we go through has a huge piece of normal about it. It is then that people may begin speaking more freely and open up about whatever it is that ails them.
A normalisation to the feelings we all can experience and when we find ourselves there, we begin to feel lost. Some lose hope and many of us lose sight or clarity on what is life all about.
Through my writing I continue to encourage each and every reader to keep going and a slogan for some years now
"never give up"

Consider, a word full of thought
What to consider?
How to consider?
Why even consider?
Like all words, if ya say it enough it begins to lose its meaning. Though, when I consider several different aspects in life, sometimes I can end up losing the meaning of life.
What do you consider, the meaning of life to be?
Ah yes, we all can consider each other in some way or another. Consider this, consider that. Do we gain more insight into life by thinking about it though? As opposed of course to actually LIVING it.
The word consider is an interesting word because of what it can bring about within us. We can begin to think in a little different way when someone suggests that we consider something or other. There are times it may be a word that is used in an argument between partners, when giving out.
"did you even consider my feelings?"
What are we asking someone to do when we say such a thing?
"did you give any consideration to....?"
Quite often used when we are about to follow it up with "ya selfish so and so"
I have found because I have had to consider many different things and many different people and their feelings that when I consider how another human may actually be or live or how they just generally are, that through this consideration, I am often taken deeper and deeper into my own ways and my own thinking.
Does this happen for you?
Perhaps an easier way to look at this word "consider" would be a way in which to demonstrate a reason to consider things.
Someone will never know what it is like until they are in the middle of something. Like me for example.
I have lived many a good story, I have lived many a good travel expedition. I have even had some great fortunate circumstances to brag about and have enjoyed some very surreal experiences indeed.
Can you consider how lucky I have been to have been afforded such wonderful experiences in the past?
Probably not as they have not occurred for you. It makes it harder to consider what something might be like without having first hand experience.
Then if it takes a first hand experience to gain knowledge how something feels, what exactly are we saying when we say "consider this"? What are we asking when we say "did you consider....?"
How can we get mad at anyone and use the idea of "they did it without consideration for...."
They had no previous knowledge or they have not had any first hand experience, so how could they consider?
It all makes for some interesting concepts and thoughts in my opinion.
I guess I have been blessed with some ability to "consider" a wide range of situations, thoughts, feelings, experiences.
How can that be though?
Perhaps we all could consider that it is not from some formula book or teachings that I have been blessed with this ability. It has been from 1st hand experiences.
Now the catch.
Perhaps it is possible for some people to imagine. Put themselves outside of their own feelings and thoughts. Perhaps it is possible that when we consider something, the actual process we are going through is stepping out from ourselves and beginning to imagine what it might be like for someone else. How can we do this as we have no knowledge of the experience and so we have no way of knowing what it might feel like?
We do it anyway by perhaps, let us use the word "imagine"
So when we consider, we are imagining.
Imagine what it might feel like to be the other person.
Imagine how it is when this or that happens.
Then if it is all about imagining, perhaps the most creative mind that can imagine a massive far away world and way of life, that they may be an expert at "considering"
How do we actually trick ourselves into feeling something of what another person may feel, when we are imagining something?
Is it fair to say to you that to consider something, to give something some thought is a request to send you into your imagination? Then while in that imagination, it is possible that you can bring about a feeling directly related to the item you are "considering"?
I am considering buying a car right now. This does not sound like something connected to sending me into imagination land.
Merely a thought process at best.
I am considering doing a promotion on some of my books that I have written.
Ah yes this brings me to my imagination as I am thinking about what readers may feel, should I run a special promotion on my books and then a new reader can take advantage of an offer and get some great value in reading any of the books I have written to date.
This makes me imagine what that might be like.
Though these kinds of consider are different from the "did we consider" another person's feelings?
Definitely calls for imagination process for sure.
When a judge begins the sermon in a court house they may say "considering all the facts of the case".
Did they really imagine what it all may be like for the accused or are they simply saying they gave it some thought?
Funny little word consider isn't it?
To finish up.
Considering all that has occurred in my life (this is where I give a lot of thought in reflection}
I hereby declare myself as a professional in deep thought, feelings, adveristy in life, recovery, determination, refusals to quit, inspiration, aspiration, motivation, change, love, mental health, emotional awareness, showing up & doing, how, why & why not.
Given these elements that have now become my own expertise, it is only natural that I suggest my books as reading material for you to "consider".
Here are the names and they can be found on Amazon in ebook & paperback.
TWO sons TOO many, A memoir.
17&Life (Seventeen & Life), A memoir.
My Grief, the last 3 years, Blog & Poetry.
NEWEST RELEASE
Layman's Handbook, in life. Self Help ~ nonfiction.
Why offer to you as your new reading material?
Because of course, that is what I do now. I am a self published author, who wishes nothing more from you than only consider how life might actually be. It is in this small collection of books that you can find and then see why I can sit here and say that for us both, yes you and I. That to consider is one hell of a mind boggling experience.
I cannot know your life and you cannot know mine. I however have learned that to "consider" how yours might be has brought me many places outside of myself and I have been very lucky to be able to "consider" such things as to help and guide me to a higher plain in my own existence.
For these reasons I am ever grateful to the human race and how the world has helped me through.
Give it some thought.
Imagine how it can be.
&
CONSIDER everything.
Happy January folks.
