Another great day

Sure we are alive aren't we. that in itself is worth the effort. Sun is shinning and life goes on and we welcome it.

Thank you to all the many friends, likes, shares and retweets. all Fb, twitter, goodreads, amazon, kindle ... all found under the same name as the title of the new book, TWO sons TOO many.

I say new book like I have thousands of them, this is a 1st time ever venture for me and what a learning curve. Self publish and the mistakes are by the thousands yes but the book is only the 1st.

Wishing all those with birthdays happy ones and those faced with conflict or confrontational material today, well hang in there. Those who keep their head when all around them are losing theirs, WIN.

Many days I wake up and just about TWO sons TOO many and realize today is what you make it, so today I am going to make it about circulating the book and trying to reach all you readers. Without you, my book would be only MY book. I made a respect post to you guy a bit lower down the blog.

Should we now today finish with notes and begin the second book completely? Hard to know. The second book would be the expansion of chapters to greater detail and depth of the first book. Inspiring inspiration comes from reading from all of you out there internet world.

Here is to another wonderful day in this life, oh if you have already read TWO sons TOO many then you are somewhat up to date with this life and now today comes another great day. If you have not yet read, well get your skates on and kindle yourself a copy or as being a self published author through Createspace get over there and search the title. Search it on all the usual channels and catch up because we are breaking new ground everyday.

As promised

Early today I made some observations about Kindle and paperback, one versus the other and it is amazing. But I promised to write more about the book.
Again just to point out the introduction of the book is a few posts down.

Writing the book, why write? or why write "IT" ?
Simply put, is never simple. However a book has been produced. The process became by taking a look back and a look at current, thinking of the times in between and all the great and wonderful people and experiences. So everybody has great experiences why should they read mine?
I do not think people/you/readers "should" read my life, I only put it out there for those who may just want to see "what's up" TWO sons TOO many has no life secret to share nor does it have any ground breaking formula for the world we all live in today, Me the "writer" or you the "reader" but we are all human and we all experience feelings of joy, laughter, pain & sorrow. My story is a tiny tiny aim at perhaps with sharing with you to give you the inspiration, hope & and will to recognize, appreciate and prosper.

Two sons TOO many will indeed and I challenge you to take a read and honestly tell me, did you think for a moment this cannot be real? Well I did and it has been my life, so go figure as they say lol.
If you become detached from your own reality in reading through this story, don't worry it happens to the best of us. Should you find the truth element is a bit too much and need a moment to wipe away a tear, take the moment you are only human. although you may find the tears are of laughter not of sorrow.

As a young busy honours student, I write of the life of a commercial fisherman which has given me great fortune and opportunity to travel around the world. Of course a fisherman would not be a true fisherman if the sex tales did not include the "any port in a storm" tradition of the fisherman. yes there is sex in the book, for all of you who love a good raunch. Not intended to be a steamy novel, but life does include some excursions.

TRUTH v FICTION the memoir is true very much so, you can decide and where your imagination takes you as to it could be fiction.

Saturday Morning results.

Whats new after a week, not much really.
Well although or really like kind of sort of. I noticed that the Kindle sales passed or have taken the lead against paperback. Now I have absolutely no clue of what the difference would be as far as reading a book. Well obviously I do understand that yes, tablet type computer screen V actually in hand page turning.

So I had listened to many in the book world of authors and believed that what had been spoken to me was and did, still does make sense. A paper book in the store, bookstore is an actually work of art and a thing of beauty to be admired and held and become part of the avid reader. I got that it makes sense, perhaps the need to instantly read something or have it now rather than waiting for shipping from an online store is the reason Kindle would be doing well V selling paperback online. Only one answer for it, the push to get into the bookstore I guess.

Social media too I guess most advertising has been FB and Twitter so it is an electronic world, where as a book fair or bookstore may actually see paper back sell more.

My goals have very much been accomplished as to, write my story and indeed sell it although it was most definitely more like after I sat back and looked at it and read it again, that I wanted someone else to read it too. That has been accomplished the very first morning some bought it and read it and messaged me immediately five hours. well that's pretty much "immediately" in the world of books. So for this reason, Hashtag very proud of meself in many ways.

Readers

Here we are star date, Monday. enough said, it is Monday and that should be nough for the people of the future to open the capsule and realize another monday rant and moan.

Not really the case here, this is a happy rant. I am delighted with the progress of my new book and as a first time project of writing, well that is not exactly true. The writing piece I guess is all inclusive so the real first time piece is putting it in an arena for the PUBLIC, the READERS. this is the whole new complete piece.
How does one say "hey come read my book, it is about me"

I can see myself down at the doors of the shopping mall with a back full of books and stopping people as they try to hide their eyes from my engaging with them and breeze past, all the while I am lugging 60 pounds of books trying to chase after them " hey, do you READ? are you a READER?"
Imagine.

So without you the readers my book would remain just mine, not a bad thing either as that is how the whole project began.
Now it is an actual book, my own life story in the briefest form possible, 496 pages. I find it weird to say "hey come read me, I am worth knowing" lol.
I do not want to give it all away by telling what it is about as it really is the case "well read it and find out"

To give a snippet, I have lived a wonderful life, I have enjoyed many great luxuries and been afforded the greatest experiences of travel and adventure around the world. although all are not explained in fine detail in the book TWO sons TOO many, reader you will see it, feel it and imagine it.
I have also been prone to some misfortunes and deepest heartache along these wonderful journeys. It is here you may find yourself deep in the story. Thus far some reviewers have told me it is then, they just find it impossible to put down.
I was worried as to the "PAGE TURNER" element and have received the exact sentiment.

I also feared or worried that when writing , what is "voice" ?? how does emotion and experiences transfer through text?
The more feedback I receive the more the confidence meter grows and "voice" & emotions are some of the finest compliments I have received. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER to hear.

So READERS please prepare yourself for the journey with me, enjoy it and keep an open mind is all I ask. ya see, there I go again. There is more to ask.
If you plan reading my new 1st time authored book TWO sons TOO many, well I ask that you do not neglect your work, family and life as you can put the book down and you can come back and pick up where you left off, isn't that the beauty of a book? There are some reviews currently on amazon to give an idea, just prepare yourself for your imagination to get a little lost for a short period of time.

You may find it is hard to believe and think it is fiction, I assure you readers it is as true as it gets.

Introduction ...

Introduction

Where does one begin, at the beginning will be the reply from all the “smarty’s” in the group, of course the beginning so he we are,
Once upon a time, a baby was born and the world did not know what it was in for, but alas it was me. They say a big whopper of a child yet at only 9 lbs or somewhere around that mark.
My own very first son, came in at 10 lbs 11 or 11 lbs 10 always get confused with numbers, yet my self-proclaimed mathematically genius has carried me through many a task of deep deep numerical quagmire.
Back to serious stuff though, so born yeah! Great out in the world, funny thing as an adult I have the most vivid memories of being a baby, I always ask other adults, new groups of friends do you remember being a baby? Many say NO and I find that strange I can recall before I ever walked, like it was yesterday I can recall my older brother being told to share his candies with me and I knew he didn’t want to and I wanted candy. I will guess my age of that event to be approx. 1 year old.
Now to read and write and put it all on paper finally well aren’t we off to a great start, memories from 1 year of age, no wonder the book weighs a ton. Let’s catch up, this is the internet age so better reference would be “ no wonder the download took 7 months” Being witty not the theme here but yes like to keep things real and call them for the way that I see them, trouble is if you really take a look at the truth or the realness of a situation you are going to find some funny stuff there too and so with life being deep emotional and miserable it is just as well there is a laugh or two along the way, any who as they say, back to me. You got the picture born a big lad and it carried through all my years, not the biggest in the group but a good firm strong built individual to say the least 6 ft and change in the vertically and broad and strong in the wide section, not fat that came with life a little later on.

So why bother reading about me, no reason really you should close the book now and return it for a money back, demand full refund, that is what I say to those of the pessimistic view, why did you pick it up in the first place I mean after all what could be so interesting about me compared to the next Joe schmo? Nothing! That’s right nothing.
The reason I am going to share this with you, the reader is to maybe let one little ounce of this life out to you and maybe just maybe after the record breaking sales of my book one single individual will get it and then it was all worth it.
Rambling again, well you will get used to that and if you like to get lost in a story, then I have tons of them, funny thing on that note, a smart well wise really, guy I came across in my twenties told me, “you know the truth is the hardest thing to believe” I gave it some thought he persisted, he was a city cop actually and I kept thinking he wanted me to say something I didn’t want to say or something the old Jedi mind trick being used on me, but anyway he insisted, “think about it” if someone tells you a lie you swallow it whole, and cannot wait to be telling your friends, mates, partners the story. Now someone tells you the truth, what is a typical response? “Get out of here” “shut up” “ are you for real”, “ that can’t be true” etc. etc. etc. You walk away in no hurry to tell anyone. Funny how it works isn’t it. Give it a little thought and you will see, draw on all and or any stories someone ever told you, what was your reaction?
Ok so I have many, many, truths to share with you and some you are going to say are in no way believable and others you will swallow hook line and sinker. Why, it is just the nature of the beast in us. If I could tell you why, I wouldn’t be writing it all down to share with you. I would be charging $1000 an hour in a well decorated office in my downtown Manhattan office whilst living care free somewhere around central Park. Just to live the rich lifestyle of a genius mind reader type guy.
But I do not and so I cannot answer why we tell the truth and nobody wants to believe it. So when reading further keep in mind you might want to set down the auld book as it gets to be too unbelievable which might actually mean you have hit the real truth piece.
I can tell you right now we are gonna become buddies on this one if you stick with it and I will have to call you buddy because I have no way to know your name, are you man or woman, adolescent or elderly or anywhere in between, so take no offense from us getting to know each other through the buddy system. I will call you buddy for want of any better term, none come to mind right now so why not.
Ok the child hood, I was born in the mid-seventies, some of you may identify immediately with the era of growing up and being a fully-fledged kid in the early eighties. I had a great child hood; I mean my innocence was top class. I was so shy you would never believe it, as they used to say I was a fine young handsome man and again being a big strong fit child, all the older folk would pass some comment or other. But my innocence was immense, I mean I was so shy and scared as a young boy, I never or rarely would speak in a crowd or answer the teachers question in school, why I just thought it was better to let someone else answer, someone who would get it wrong and then they could be the embarrassed one, hell no! Not me I was not going to embarrass myself in a room of 30 other children, that being said because they all viewed me as a genius by about 5 years of age they didn’t want me to answer anyway because I always had the answer. The other kids got their kicks out of getting their assignments finished before me checking to see if I was finished already I never cared less, looking back I just did what I needed to do and that was enough.

We got through it

so now the 7th is here, we can share a little about the book.
what is the writing all about .
When one sits back and says to themselves "I cannot believe this has happened or is even happening"

Then due to those statements to myself, figured, write it down. so I can read it back to myself. Might harden the fact of reality. Well the writing continued and the book followed the numerous upon numerous pages of writing. Then to shorten it all down to a book size. 496 pages I do believe
It turned out to be an emotional ride through it all and feedback from readers has been along those lines.

JULY 6TH

many had their happy 4th celebrations and we did wish them all well.
to those who may have read and those yet to read, you will find the 6th is a very special day indeed, for a number of reasons.
One cannot give it all away.
But writing in a blog is almost like therapy.

another Monday upon us

where exactly does time go, isn't that a real question , we all say it.

The trouble, well how could it be trouble only because we forgot to make the most of our time that has passed, so we give it a negative of "the trouble with it is" , ah sure I suppose easier to call it trouble, not going to change the wheel now.

How and ever Monday yet again and the new book is flying , I have been amazed, people actually like it and are buying it and giving me great feedback on facebook.

Facebook, great to spread the word hard to get a few "shares" out of people, "likes" are a dime a dozen but we will take em none the less.
Onwards it is with the month of July and a half arsed marketing plan.
Thank you to all supporters thus far and I am over the moon to actually hear people not only say they liked the book but actually call it, "brilliant" or even "amazing"

Seems like writing a book is a hard struggle, especially when it is memoir, have to relive the whole thing through many reads and re reads.
who ever thought online marketing and social media and exposure was so important?

Book released for audience June1st. so month one is over hundred and odd sales so very happy.
Month 2 now marketing.
