The expert in me. What? Friday 13th
Life has happened in a peculiar way for me, myself and I.
The pieces that stick out the most for me are the harder pieces that I have had to drag myself through, there really is no other way to give them words. I have fond memories of many of the beautiful times I have been gifted in this life. I like many of us have also cringed and even today on Friday the 13th I am recalling when I heard myself say "is my life just Friday the 13th all of the time or what?"
Yes it has been a battle of emotional changes and a never ending saga of deeper meanings and learning. When they say every day is a school day, ain't that the truth? Learning about people is one thing, learning how a machine works or the earth moves is another. The learning never stops and learning how to become comfortable with emotions is a whole ride that sometimes I wish I could have never even began to learn about. I say that sometimes because quite simply I am honoured and feel very privileged to have been given the beautiful gift of being able to feel and feel alive. In all the little things and some of the simplest most basics pieces in life, to enjoy these has been a massive reward thus far.
Can you enjoy the little things?
How little do I mean and what is there to enjoy?
I have found that in our life that no matter what the circumstances are around us or in front of us, it will all depend on what it is you say to yourself about them that will matter. Today Friday the 13th can be a day some will fear, a day some look forward to and for others it is just another day. How can that be when everyone is always right all of the time. Right in their thinking, right in their feelings yet just here we can take a basic look and know that there are three ways in which some people will go through Friday the 13th. We can break that down in an instant and see that things are different for everybody.
Here are a few of the times I have had to reinvent myself and rebuild my life. Just like you or anybody these times have built me stronger and better for the experiences. What has made me an expert on feeling content in life and finding the ways to enjoy my time here in the world.
Incarcerated by 17 years of age. Bit of a fast track really. Some of us have never experienced this and some others have waited a while and found the time to screw up a little later on in life. The build up to this and the decisions in life are covered in my book, #memoir 17 & Life, available on Amazon. 17 to 19 were some real digging geep years.
Fathered the world champion son by 20 years of age. Another time when I thought life could not get any better and I had to learn a whole new set of how to be. A time that was full of firsts and the beauty I was beginning to learn how to appreciate.
The wisdom was kicking in back then and I was still learning. What I have learned is that I know not much about anything and a little about a lot of things.
Rather than keep on itemising all the life changing events, it would be fair to say that my own being an expert on how to dissect any given day and find the value that lies within it brings me to the side of how Friday the 13th is a day like any other to be enjoyed as much as possible and when a bump in the road or a scary film character shows up in your window tonight, rest assured you can get through it and it will pass just like all the days that have gone before us.
I have had a time in my life where I met a beautiful woman and was falling in love and enjoyed every piece of it. The feeling zone I was learning about though was about death and grief and some of the nasty taste of life too. One must feel very happy with people around them to balance out having to be a bereaved parent and not just for a one time thing, this has found its way to me on two occasions. I have had the not so pleasurable time of burying my two sons. You can read all about this in my memoir TWO sons TOO many.
We pick ourselves up in life, there are times we look to our friends to pick us up and it might happen a little and it might not. We can find ourselves feeling worse and feel there is nowhere at all to turn. What can bring us through our deep feelings of #Grief? The learning is going on all the time and we can find it a little harder some times to experience a happiness or a contentment. Just like today Friday the 13th though, it is a day, just a day to live through and enjoy. I will provide a link for you to copy and paste and find my website which has links to my writing. Books and short stories along with some poems and blog posts. These are things which may help you on your own journey. This is the expert piece.
I wish to inform you that I have learned how to cry and cry a lot. This has been sometimes with happy emotional tears. There have been times that I have cried for what seemed like endlessly and that has been with great hurt and pain and sorrow. So how does it happen that inside of myself, just simple me. How can it occur to have such a range of emotion and go from happy smiles to gut wrenching tears and of course everything in between. I offer to you an idea or a concept of gaining a little "appreciation". When we appreciate the small things, well it is like the big things can fade away for a while and we manage through some how. To deal with my own grieving I decided to document all the pieces of what I was doing in my writing and compile them together to take a stand back look at what or where I have been emotionally. I compiled this into an ebook and it is called, My Grief, the last three years.
I have found that I want to help others and the basic reason is that helping others is a positive way that I can help myself. Help how?
I cannot do your job for you nor can I take away the pains that you feel. I can only grow with you and help by way of bringing you into my own world and sharing with you the beauty I have found exists. Ways in which we can dig deep inside and find the strength to carryon when all seems to vague and painful. To enjoy our life as we have one go around at it and it is our sole responsibility to ourselves to break free from chains that hold us down. Break out from our prison that we create inside of ourselves. I am due to release a new book this autumn and I do hope you will enjoy my writing work as much as the previous books. This new book coming soon is titled
Layman's Handbook, a journey to self.
It is self help in a sense, and it is a journey.
I hope all of you who read this will take a moment to click the link and check out some of my stuff over on my website and I wish for you guys to spare a moment to share some of my own marketing posts around the Internet.

It is your sharing my posts that helps reach more readers and the key piece of all that is for the people who really need a boost in life or that need a little grounding. I write these books with the hope to enrich your life by helping you come with me on how my journey has been and what it all has meant to find myself sitting here writing this piece to touch on how I have just woke up today Friday the 13th and know it has been through great turmoil and pain that I have grown in to an expert in #life. I may not be an expert in marketing though lol. So I ask you to help in sharing about my new release coming out this autumn as a way to include you in part of my journey as a writer, a way for you to use me to reach your friends who may need that boost.
Thank you for reading and I ask that you click somewhere on social media and share this blog piece or share my website link with your friends.
Thank you and Happy day to you (Friday 13th N' all)
